My doctor put me on Zantac since my first trimester and it has been a miracle drug for me.
but im thinking of trying zantac for her the least doisage possible just to cjeck if it will reduce the spitting and the crankiness after feeds, but i also don't want her tummy to get used to it since my self i have been on omeprazole for years and can't live without it.. it's only during my pregnancy that I have changed to zantac and in severe cases pariet or lanzor.

I have heartburn everyday everytume I eat I feel like I'm drowning and sometimes at night I throw up in my mouth.
I want something with immediate relief and wondered if the anyone took the other ones like Zantac or whatever else is out there. Tums does NOT work for me. Any input as to what your doctor said was ok, please let me know. Also, I'm 29 weeks, in case that matters to anyone's advice. Thanks in advance for your input.
I take Prilosec OTC everyday. I been taken it since my first trimester. It helps and safe.
Ok so im 25 weeks now and am having the worst heart burn everyday! Tums isnt helping and i cant take papaya pills. Any tips please help.
Yep. Get some Zantac 150, take it before you eat. And before you go to bed. If you already have heartburn when you take the Zantac, drink chocolate milk while waiting for it to kick in. It should help you.
So my doctor prescribed me zantac for heartburn.. he said to take it at night and i do but everyday around 4pm my heartburn comes back.. is it ok to take it at 4pm instead of 9pm at night? Im 33 weeks pregnant..
You can take otc zantac, tums, maalox, mylanta and pepcid. If it's really bad and none of those help you can see if your doctor is ok with something like prevacid or prilosec.
I've had GERD for years and yes it seems to get worse during pregnancy. I'm 36 weeks now and it's bad. I have prescribe Protonix 40mg and I also wI'll have to take Zantac some days along with it. Try asking your Dr. about Protinix instead if you have worries. Try not to worry and stress your GERD can flare up. Good luck on everything.
He gave me zantac and some thing else but those pills just did not help. On follow up visits, if memory serves me right he prescribed the same tablets-still no change in my condition. I should also mention that i think i might have received other pills -names of which i can not remember-but no change. The last time i saw him we agreed that i will do an X-Ray. The point of this, is that i just would like a diagnosis given the information i have provided.
Mine gets so intense my dr had me on zantec everyday but now that i am getting bogger that isnt even helping. So mamas help me.. Did your dr ever recommend something? What can i take? Or do?! Obv i know no fatty foods etc.. Anything else?! Help!
I have also noticed sometimes when I bend over it feels worse. Has anyone else ever experienced this? My doctor wants me to start taking Zantac everyday which I am worried about due to possible long term effects of this medicine. I have myself convinced that I have some kind of cancer in my throat or neck but my doctor assures me if that was the case it would have gotten much worse by now since I have been feeling this on and off for at least 2-3 years.
