Avatar f tn never even looked in my mouth) and have vitamin B12 pernicous anemia. All of these neuro problems and muscle problems were actually from the anemia. Now I think that I am borderline on the tests--but the labs B12 ranged from 90 to 100 (son't ask me what) and my labs were at 103. That was two weeks ago. I got started on B12 injections, he put me on a good multi vitamin and folic acid, changed my thryoid med to Armour thyroid, is testing me for H pylori bacteria.
Avatar n tn It used to be only when I laid down and then the pain would only last like 5-10 min. However these days the pain occurs longer and it even occurs when I'm sitting. I also play the saxophone. I've played it for 5 years and I have never had breathing problems...however these days I've been having trouble breathing and I've sometimes been having chest pain that stays for a while. Sometimes when I eat, I sometimes feel like I want to just throw it back up. I'm only sixteen years old. What is wrong?
Avatar n tn I am a 28 yr male. I have had muscle cramping, weakness, and slight spasms after light activities such as lifting 25 pounds. I have had normal EMG, MRI of Brain w/o contrast and CT scan. I also have pain in neck and dizziness occasionally but not related to activity. I have also had normal stress test and thallium test. My labs have shown high cpk once 253, high rbc count once. Any ideas of where to go with this. I am about tested out.
Avatar f tn ) and now recently, it hit again with inside of eyelids very red, and I started to have some pain too. So I became concerned. The pain is intermittent, but if it started to be continuous it would quickly become an issue! It feels a little like eye strain- like a pulled muscle type of feeling, uncomfortable and sore on the eye intermittently, and there is some soreness inside the lids and dryness. Noticeable strain looking up and down, left right... it pulls and feels sore.
Avatar f tn Any ideas why I would be waking up with whole body vibrations? And I having so many muscle spasms? It worries me, too that I have a stiff neck. I've been receiving therapy for it and its gotten seemingly better since the Vitamin D treatment but there was never an explanation for it. Also, I was diagnosed with Myofascial Pain Disorder during my neck period because I was also having TMJ.
Avatar n tn i take strong painkillers to help with the pain, i don't think this is the AS. Can this be a gastro problem, or a muscle and nerve thing, i am so confused as what to do becasue i have had scopes but they are normal, although i did have a swallowing test done that suggested vocal cord dysfunction, the flap over my trachea opens when it should close.
5882236 tn?1377621424 said there might be some irritation in the Pancreas and that could be causing the back pain. My question is - Has anyone experienced Back Pain with GERD? and Do you have problems sleeping because of this? Your response will be greatly appreciated.
Avatar m tn Greetings, guys, I'm a 25-year old male with chronic acid reflux issues and occasional gallbladder pain. I've been extremely active between the ages of 17-24, working out and following a strict diet. Recently, however, I gained weight due to being married and being unable to go thr gym as often as I used to.
Avatar f tn I take Celexa 30mg, and Protonix every morning and a Zantac before every meal. I throw up 4/5 meals/snacks I have every day, I have been having tension headaches and migraines for so long these past few months I can't even calm my mind enough to pin point the month they started. I just quit smoking cigs about 5 or 6 days ago after cuttinf back for a week, cause I thought it would help. I get muscle cramps and spazzes, usually in my calves. I am 183 and 5'3" and only 18, 19 in February.
Avatar f tn I think I may try to take it easy on anything that will cause heartburn and see if it's that and call and make sure it's okay to take zantac. If it keeps up after that, hopefully the doctor will do some bloodwork. I have to say I'm terrified of having fibro as I've noticed many people with CP have it. Hopefully it's not that. Thank you everyone for your replies!
Avatar n tn my four year old son when excited twist his hands round and in the air in a fist, also when he is sitting down or lying down settleing for sleep his face contorts as if he is pictureing things and his arms and legs are thrashing around when i talk to him and ask him what he is doing he says he is thinking!he doesnt seem to be aware he is doing this and has done so since he was about six months old.what is it?
Avatar n tn in my right side a few days later. My doctor and I thought I had pulled a muscle. The pain is just above waist area and sometimes radiates under right rib area. After 3 weeks of therapy, a chest X-Ray, Cat scan of the chest and stomach area, I still don't know what is wrong. The Cat scan of the chest showed some small lung nodules, which a Pulmonary doctor said no danger just now, but need to be watched with another Cat scan 6 months from now.
Avatar n tn Can somebody tell me what's causing all this upper right rib pain and itching? Yes, itching around my rib cage. The pain radiates from a sharp pain just below my right rib cage, like you get after running sometimes, to a severe ache/pain almost under my right arm in my rib cage? These pains are accompanied by itching. There's no visible rash, I'm not under any stress, except for the stress of this pain. Like the knife-like pain that Chris talks about.
Avatar m tn If I'm bending over, this sometimes will cause it to start. The pain occurs in the mid back area and feels like a muscle cramping with the pain at times being rather severe. If I stop what I'm doing and rest, it will subside in a few minutes. After that, I tend to belch often that that also relieves the discomfort. My family doctor has done an EKG as a precaution which came back 100% normal. Some of the symtoms almost resemble a mild heart attack from what I've read.
Avatar n tn She had a bladder infection and was just finishing an antibiotic when her rash showed up it quickly turned into severe joint pain and hives. The joint pain would migrate from one spot to another. One day she can not walk and bend her knees the next she seems to be fine. We are going to meet with a rhumetoid specialist tomorrow. I would like to know what outcomes you experienced with your son.
Avatar n tn If you do know anything about med's, I am on - Pred Asacol Zantac Panlor DC for pain Tylenol 3 - which is almost finished and they won't refill that I do have Vicoden by the score here - but I am sick to death of taking that so right now I am not. I was also prescribed Skelaxor for Muscle related damage due to the 17 years of continous Pred useage. I also have oesteoporosis - again, the Pred has done that.
Avatar m tn I am then left with severe pain, muscle weakness, pins and needles throughout my body, but there are variations to these attacks. Sometimes the Tachycardia starts up and my hearts races for a minute or two before settling down. This has been picked up on a holter monitor. Other times I get this massive rush that starts in my legs races through my body and basically finishes with what feels like an explosion in my head. I am left with major headaches when this occurs.
Avatar f tn I stopped taking the medicine after only 3 weeks and needless to say, I am still breaking out in hives and have joint pain. I have been tested for allergies and that was negative. I have had bloodwork done and it was negative. Just wondering if anyone else was experiencing same symptoms. I am going insane trying to deal with this!
Avatar n tn I began having problems with diarrhea this fall, with urq pain getting worse and also having upper abdominal pain and pain around my navel. I have just been diagnosed with an inflammatory bowel disease. Have your docs considered this? I'm certainly not an expert but your symptoms sounded so similar that I felt I had to respond. I also had stopped eating much (because it went straight through!) and lost about 20 lbs. Prednisone helped me a lot. I am now off of pred and taking asacol.
Avatar n tn Hi, GERD pain can radiate to the places you have mentioned. Continue PPI. PPI alone is not enough and you may have to consider certain lifestyle modifications too which include the following - 1. Head elevation while sleeping 2. Small frequent meals 3. Going to bed 2- 3 hours after food 4. Avoiding bed time snacks 5. Avoiding smoking and alcohol 6. Avoiding tight fitting clothes 7. Avoiding cola, citrus drinks, carbonated drinks, tea, coffee, spicy food 8.
Avatar n tn The most likely cause is costochondritis, which causes pain and tenderness at points where your ribs attach to your breastbone. The inflammation around the joint area gives sharp pain on taking a breath. This can also cause tenderness on pressing the area which pains. An orthopedic doctor can diagnose this for you. Generally there is no cause. However it can be due to infection, blow, injury, or fibromyalgia. It usually goes away on its own.
Avatar n tn i have had a hernia removed from my neighbor over six months ago when i went to the doctor one of several visits for severe abdomial pain, then the pain came back and i had my gallbladder removed, now the same pain has returned and my primary physician gave me vicodin until my insurance would approve for me to see a specialist which took over three weeks.i'm going to the doctor finally today and the pain is still there it is a burning sensation in the middle of my stomach.
Avatar m tn Ok so recently my acid reflux has started acting up really bad again from when i was 12 or so and I had to take zantac pills for awhile. I recently have been having shortness of breath whenever i eat, regardless of what i eat. I have been eating very healthy since it started acting up (only fruits, veggies, nuts and meat) and yet still I get chest pains accompanied by shortness of breath.
Avatar f tn I also have pain in the left lower side in the spleen area, the pain comes and goes, sometimes radiating around to my back. I put myself on a high fiber diet last week to see if that would help, and am also taking Zantac, I have a lot of gurgling going on in the same area. i feel fine otherwise, no headaches loss of weight, no fatigue, or feeling sick, nothing except this pain. what do you think it is? This discussion is related to <a href='http://www.medhelp.
Avatar n tn The pain finally diminished, but about a month later it started in my right neck. The pain now runs all the way down my neck and into my shoulder and right chest a bit. It especially hurts if I apply pressure to my pulse(Carotid artery). It feels like inflammed nerves or something. So, I went back to another doctor and he gave the same diagnosis. He said unfortunatley the cause is unknown. Now I am on a stronger anti-inflammatory. I just want to know the cause so it won't come back.
Avatar f tn I am 16 years old and 115 pounds I was sick for a few days last week and went to the doctor. I was having something like muscle spasms in my chest under my ribs they told me I had massive acid reflux. So I have been drinking water and powerade (no soft drinks) since.
Avatar n tn My doctor prescribed Nexium 40 mg. I had an Endoscopy and an abdominal CT with barium. After 6 months the pain returned and my primary care doctor added 150 mg of Zantac twice per day. I finally broke down and went back to the Gastro doctor and he canceled the Zantac and added 37.5 mg of Effexor XR. I cannot understand the reasoning behind this prescription. He stated that the Effexor will help my cramping and spasming intestinal issues. Is this prescription something that is routine?
Avatar n tn I decided to make visit to GI Dr due to severe constipation and indigestion despite being on Nexium and Zantac. He started me on Linzess a new drug to treat chronic constipation which is not working very well. I had an endoscopy due to trouble swallowing since radiation to neck and there was a stricture but also found food present from dinner eaten 14 hrs before and he said nothing is moving. He thinks there is definitely a connection to all my Abd problems and Tram Flap.
Avatar n tn I've been seeing a doctor for the last year or so and have been on Aciphex (which worked for awhile, and cost me $150/mo), and Nexium (now has no effect). I tried Prilosec, Zantac and other OTCs which I get migraines from and have no effect. This started out as happening about once every 3-4 months (4 years ago) and has increased to happing 3-4 times a week, with the most frequent time a month ago with 7 days back-to-back-to-back.
