zantac and insomnia

Then I took more Zantac, woke up crampy and nauseous, ate some cereal, now I am lightheaded and my stomach hurts and I need to eat something else but I'm afraid to. Could the Zantac be messing with my digestion and making me feel worse?

m on high daily doses of prednisone. I also suffer from terrible insomnia...granted I had insomnia before I was ever diagnosed with the CSS. I know that prednisone can cause sleep issues, and I really need to get some sleep. I also have ADHD. I've tried trazadone with mixed results. I currently take Prednisone, Qvar, Foradil, Zantac and Adderall. I would prefer not to add another pill to the mix if I can help it, the less med interactions I chance the better....any suggestions?

I have to drink milk only at night and my doctor insisted that Tylenol Pm is OK for me because my insomnia is off the charts!

Has anyone taken zantac during pregnancy for heartburn? I'm 22+5 and have heartburn almost every other day. Sometimes it's so bad that I just want to sleep so i don't feel it.

I ran out of the 75 mg of zantac but I have equate 150 mg its the same thing as zantac but just the.generic brand. Is it ok to take that?

I've just started taking zantac, and I don't know if I'll have any side effects, or if my regular symptoms (stomach pain, upset stomach) will become apparent or come back. My question is this; if I get nauseous, stomach pain, upset stomach etc. as a side effect or other, can I take tums to calm my stomach down? Or will it just make things worse? I can't talk to my doctor because (a) don't have an appointment and (b) am too young to drive there or get an appointment myself.

After month upon month of frustration, the wife goes and buys hubby some extra strength Zantac and within three hours he was wanting a cheeseburger. When the doctors came in that afternoon I asked them to give it a try. After a bit of condescending attitude on the doctor's part, he said, well, it can't hurt her so if that's what you want we will give it a try. It has now been a week since she was released from the hospital and so far, so good.

Can you please tell me if you can take Nexium 40mg. and Zantac 75mg. together or on the same day. My GI doctor has me on Nexium 40mg. and my PCP wants me to take Zantac 75mg. at night before I go to bed. Is it safe, and can I take it with Xanax 1mg. I have GERDS and Barrett's Esophagus. And they both think it mjght be causing these little pinpoint pimples in my mouth, tongue, and throat.

t zantac but it is the same ingredient you drop it in a half cup water and it foams up and you quickly drink it. It is OTC. If zantac is safe this should be too. Thanks so much. Also i read that taking any antacid like tums and rolaids can have a reaction with the prozac. Is this true i was too scared to try Tums.

Go pick up zantac 150 or 75 mg. If 75 mg take 1 pill twice daily and then take tums as needed. Zantac should prevent the heartburn but if it doesnt work on occasion take tums (i normally take 4 extra strength tums or 2 ultra strength at a time) I was prescribed zantac 75 mg twice a day with my first baby and told to take tums if for some reason zantac doesnt help so its perfectly safe!

Zantac Ranitidine (150mg), antacid zellox-II, Zecuf, antibiotic (cephalexin), paracetamol, and cough syrup. This is when problem occurred. I started to experience soft light yellow stool (very little as i didn't eat much), diarrhea (>3 times, little too) , indigestion, nausea, and bloat. My RE and my OB both said I could take Zantac 150 - - didn't want me to take Pepto Bismol (b/c it has aspirin in it) or Prilosec OTC (it's a category C).

By taking a medication off prescription and making it OTC the NHS saves money and the pharmaceutical company make more money because presumably more people will by it when they don't need a prescription. The reason you think Rannitidine is less effective is because the placebo effect has been removed.In fact both drugs are equally effective. Otherwise the generic version would not have been licenced.

The cause is not known and could be seen in association with pregnancy, obesity, smoking, iron deficiency anemia, polyneuropathy associated with hypothyroidism, hormonal disorders like diabetes, kidney failure, drugs like caffeine, zantac and anti depressants like elavil. Treatment involves iron deficiency lookout and its treatment. Stop using caffeine and alcohol, and exercise to get adequate sleep may help. Drugs used are oral magnesium, carbamazepine, diazepam, baclofen, bromocriptine, etc.

Only thing I can say is Benadryl its the only thing that has helped me throughout this whole pregnancy.( I'm 27 weeks) When I first got pregnant I had real bad insomnia and my doctor recommended benadryl or Tylenol Pm which is Benadryl with Tylenol. The heart burn I really dont know what to take, ask your doctor for a safe list of meds I downloaded mine.

I thought I was done with this feeling nauseous stuff its so uncomfortable now and I had a severe sharpness in my back all over it hurt so bad but after a hour it went away has anyone else experienced this

for heartburn you can try drinking milk, or medication wise tums and zantac 75mg or 150 up to twice a day is ok to take during pregnancy, personally zantac is what has worked best for me

I am the same way. I take Zantac twice a day and I still have problems with it. I have to sleep sitting up or I gag in my sleep. I can totally deal with the other pains but throwing up stomach acid is the worst!

Hi, have you ever tried Zantac? Take the Zantac 150 (or two 75's) in the morning and before dinner at night, or before bed, whichever you prefer. I have had heartburn forever and I tried the prescription meds, but I feel the Zantac works the best. But 75 is not enough, make sure you take 150 mg. twice a day. Also, you can supplement it with Mylanta or Maalox liquid if it's really bad. I'm not saying this will be a miracle cure, but it's worth a try.

My OB told me Zantac is safe and it works like a dream.

So I'm 38 weeks and thru out my pregnancy I have been having heartburn but recently I've had oatmeal for breakfast and I seem to get a bad heartburn afterwards....what can I do or take?

pepto is not safe. it has bismuth in it and that's not good for the baby.
