Avatar n tn I'd avoid them all. They all have things in them that are unhealthy. You don't say if you're male or female -- if you're male, yeah, you could use more weight, if you're female, you're not that far off at that height. If you want to add size, there are two ways to do it in a healthy fashion -- eat more, but keep eating healthy food -- just eat more of it. The second thing to do is resistance training, which builds muscle.
Avatar f tn Well, there is something called BMI which you can look up. You plug in your height and current weight and it gives you your BMI. There is a healthy range to shoot for if your BMI is too high or too short and it will tell you that weight range that is best for you.
Avatar f tn you should not worry to much though, you are 15 which means your growing, and your a girl so your hormones will be doing crazy things. when i was 15 my weight was 76 and 'im only 158 cm. once i turned 18 i dropped so much weight and by 19 i was 58kg without diet or working out.
Avatar f tn Hello! Yes you are at a healthy wieght and dont worry. I am the same, have lots of muscle, except i am overweight. which i need to work on. Who cares what others think or how others look like. Everyone is unique so ya dont need to worry bout a thing.
Avatar n tn How can I have a healthy diet and gain weight? I've tried to gain weight eating more than usual but haven't been able to, what food can I eat? Or is there a diet I could follow?

1522322 tn?1291215029 I have heard that people who are a little overweight have a longer life expectancy than people at an average or "healthy" weight. Is this true? What is considered a healthy weight range for a 5'4" woman?
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm just wondering what the average weight should be for a 13 year old female around the height of 4 11"? If anybody could please help me out that would be great! Thanks!
Avatar f tn That depends on your frame size, as well as your age. Your frame size is how large your bones are. Here's a bit of height weight chart, that pertains to your height, but only if you are an adult female. If you're not an adult, the figures would be different.
1838712 tn?1325731294 I have lost 15 lbs and i'm 12 wks. I also started out somewhat overweight, so i'm glad this is creating a buffer for my weight gain. As long as you're eating a healthy diet, I don't think 20 lbs is too much right now....
Avatar n tn Hi Mag. Don't even think about it! That's way below safety levels. Even if you were a small frame female, you would be well below the min. threshold for weight for your height, which should be 118 Lbs and if you're medium frame, the minimum should be 127 Lbs. Cut out or at least reduce the pasta and other carbs, but you need healthy proteins daily for repairs and maintenance of tissues (nothing else in the diet can replace 50-70 BILLIONS of dead cells daily!
Avatar n tn Your weight is approximately 11kg overweight which is not much. We all are different and some people may have a 'heavier' bone structure then others so in turn they may weight more. We call it 'big, medium, or small' boned. It is important to use weight ranges for height if the bone structure is unknown.
Avatar m tn Heavy exercising/weight lifting, coffee, and a couple other things have been speculated to stunt a person's growth, but there really isn't much evidence on it. You will typically grow to the height of your dad, so how ever tall he is, you will grow to a very similar height. You will also grow until about your early 20s, so you have a number of years before you reach that point. Try not to worry about it and enjoy your teens.
2095187 tn?1333091434 Your weight is actually low for your age and if you want to grow taller, please do not go on a diet to lose weight. The average weight for your age and height is 115 pounds. If you think you look fat, then I would exercise as it is a way to tone muscles instead of dieting to lose weight. I don't think you are fat. The pictures in magazine are air brushed digitally on the computer to make girls look thinner than they are in real life. http://www.chartsgraphsdiagrams.
Avatar f tn If you want to lose weight and may need help, then join a group such as Weight Watchers that has a healthy diet you can live with and get support. You can try to do it on your own with eating healthy choices such as the healthy heart diet.
Avatar n tn I am 19 years old, I'm obssessed about losing weight and I don't know if it's a problem doing that but my current weight is 55kg and I want to become 50kg. Note that I'm 170cm height, I walk daily an hour on the treadmill on a speed ranges between 6-6.7 mps. I eat a healthy diet and avoid as much as possible fried food, but everyday I have like a piece of chocolate or something sweet. I have a daily breakfast of a cup of cereals for example. a cup of coffee.
Avatar n tn Tell us your weight and height if you want. Anyway start a healthy diet and a healthy life style. Avoid sugar. Start walking or running. Or dance! Understand that you have to get rid of some pounds for your health.
Avatar n tn Weighing at 93 pounds at the height of 5'0 wil lead you to being underweight, I personally think that 96 is perfect because I'm 5'0 and I weigh 108 pounds :o but that's just my opinion...
Avatar f tn I m female and 18 years old ..my weight is 83 kg..i want to lose weight..my height is 4"9..I m really worried abt my weight and want to lose..how many calories should I daily consume in order to lose 13kg in 4 months...
Avatar f tn Is it possible? Most likely. Should you? Probably not. You seem to be a a very healthy weight for your age and height.
Avatar m tn There really is no "average" weight for a 14 yr old. There are recommended weights that depend on whether you are male or female, your height, etc. Someone who is taller should, typically, weigh more than someone who is shorter.
Avatar n tn But I think the idea of muscle mass was vaguely put out there so I am going to follow those intentions. Technically, nadanichuirrin, you are still in a normal healthy weight range for your height, but are you healthy? You may know that muscle weighs more than fat. If you are concerned about your weight, look at your exercise habits and see if there's anything you want to change. Do you balance your exercise with cardio and weight training? Do you balance your diet with all the food groups?
Avatar m tn I'm sorry about that -- I just looked at the profile and saw male. Please don't take offense. That said, let's start over. What is your height? It still doesn't sound like 132 is a lot for a 23 yr old female, but again that depends on your height. If you are very short, it could be too much. As far as your food -- do you eat any fruits and vegetables? Meats? Dairy? Do you mean "oats, as in oatmeal" - hot cereal? Rice -- white rice, brown rice?
Avatar f tn m a female and am currently 14 years old. My height is 5 ft and my weight is 134 pounds. My doctor told me that I'm overweight for my age and height. She told me I should start eating healthy and exercise more. and I have, for the past 3 weeks. I started eating less of what I usually eat. And I drink about 5-8 glasses of water everyday. I workout for about 45 mins-1 hour and I weigh myself every morning but I don't loose that much weight at all...I've only lost 1 pound so far.
Avatar f tn 95 pounds at a height of 4'11 is too low. Your goal is around 110-115. That said, a weight gain of 14 pounds in the first trimester is a bit high. In the first weeks there's not much to actually cause weight gain beyond bloating and such. Because you were underweight you would want to gain 35-45 pounds the entire pregnancy and the third trimester is where most of your gain will happen. Just make sure you're eating healthy and drinking lots of water and you should be fine.
