Common Questions and Answers about Healthy recipes using ground turkey

21064 tn?1309312333 I came up with a very simple chicken burger, I use ground chicken(perdue) but ground turkey works fine. 1lb ground chicken 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning, (you can add more if you like it zesty! not more than 1 tsp) 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp ground black pepper 1/2 Tbs veggie oil mix all together, let marinate in the refrig. for about an hour. Shape into patties grill in a stove top grill pan, or sautee in a fry pan. Since its chicken it has to be well done.
203342 tn?1328740807 Can you guys help me out? Since I started back to work full time I'm struggling to find time to make healthy meals since most take awhile to cook. I've never been much of a cook to begin with, either! I find myself buying ready made foods that heat up fast or fast food on the nights I'm tired, have hungry people to feed, and no time to cook. I know that's not the healthiest or most cost efficient way to provide meals for my family.

Avatar f tn As for recipes and health eating just try adapting the foods you already eat by using healthier ingredients. (Ex. Ground turkey instead of ground beef, whole grain pasta instead of white pastas, high protein cereals over high sugar cereals) Small adjustments add up to big changes. I hope this helps.

506791 tn?1439846583 I am a firm believer that vices in moderation are what keep us mentally and emotionally healthy, and interfere little with physical health. I'll start with four simple side dishes, which can be used as the main dish. All of these are pasta based, simple, filling and three are pretty darn healthy. Avatar f tn Now at home, what I do is buy frozen veggies since they are more healthy than canned. (of course fresh is best, but frozen is easier because I don't have to worry about them going bad if I DON'T use them immediately) Organic is even better if you can find them. I cook up a portion that will last a couple days, then heat it up a little and grind it over the next two days.It even grinds chicken! Its dishwasher safe, but rinses easily if you wash it right after using. It is just the neatest thing.
405614 tn?1329147714 I got my stuff and got home, and now will rest before I go out and harvest some of my basil, thyme, and oregano for the meatballs and sauce. This is a great, healthy recipe made with ground turkey breast and I'll use whole wheat spaghetti. I get so tired, though, I may make the meatballs today and the sauce tomorrow. We'll see. Isn't it funny how sometimes the thought of chopping onions, bell pepper, celery, parsley and other herbs just seems like too big of a job?

Avatar n tn lean cuts of beef, like tenderloin with fat trimmed; sliced turkey or turkey burgers; pork tenderloin; ground chicken or turkey spiced different ways. There are some foods that are higher in sodium, like deli meats and turkey bacon and ham, these are fine once in a while. I wouldn't make a habit out of eating them, however. Stick with fresh meats, fowl, and fish.
