Common Questions and Answers about Healthy recipes energy bars

Avatar f tn Cereal and cereal bars are a good source of fiber, grain and energy for breakfast. Some cereals provide fruit and nuts in the mixture, which adds servings of other food group. Take care not to choose high-sugar, refined cereals; these tend to have higher calories and cause a sugar crash, resulting in mid-day fatigue. Cereal bars that contain oatmeal, bran and fruit offer sensible options on the go. Grab a piece of fruit such as an apple, orange or banana to pair with the cereal.

Avatar f tn Also there are a lot of great healthy casserole recipes that require cooked chicken. I will put the chicken in the crockpot with my preferred seasonings before work, and by the time I get home, all I have to do is assemble the casserole and put it in the oven! That chicken also tastes good on a homemade salad if you start to feel too lazy for a casserole :) I hope th is helps!

172023 tn?1334672284 Lately I've been boring people by putting recipes in my Journal. I get a lot of feedback on it, so people seem to be interested. If we had a Healthy Cooking Forum, I could resume using my journal to record my controversial thoughts and opinions. Anyway, since this is a health oriented site, it would seem fitting to do this. Plus, you'll get a lot of hits with people searching the internet for recipes. Win/Win.
Avatar f tn However, sometimes I feel low in energy, especially as I often stand/am constantly on my feet for long hours at work. What's the best way to give myself the energy I need for those 10-14 hour work days? I find it hard to get motivated in the morning so need something to energize me for breakfast and then continually throughout the day. I love cooking and smoothies and would rather eat real food over taking supplements. I do eat eggs and dairy, just not meat and fish.
