Keep your eye out for recipes that are more about getting you the most complete nutrition you can get in one meal rather than juices that look familiar and sweet :) You would be surprised all the things you can juice that taste amazing but you just wouldn't find them at the grocery store. 1829282 tn?1325595258 It is a combination of training and nutrition (which is my biggest issue) and I will be focusing my energy on this. Since my weigh in on February 7 I've dropped to 152.5. Pretty cool. I am incorporating a cheat day too as I believe I have the binging problem where I am good about depriving myself junk.... and then I break and eat poorly and gain back the weight I've lost... and then I'm depressed about it and slack at the gym. AGHH!! It's a horrid cycle.
Avatar f tn Just a glass of vegetable juice once a day or every other day. Its been 2 weeks and I am still very tired but I seem to have more energy during the day. This week I had 3 straight days of completing my whole daily list. I have not been able to do this since my heart issues really kicked up 2 months ago. Anyway, last night I juiced with beet root, apple and celery sound gross I know. It actually tasted great and I didnt know the great things that come in beet root.

There are lots of healthy alternatives...there is pop sweetened with stevia (totally natural) tastes great, xylitol gum Little steps at a time work...a health food store has awesome alternatives to things you love. I know it is expensive, you just have to buy less of it. Good luck!

Don't be overly active for the hour after you eat, don't eat snacks late at night, don't eat so much fast-food or at restaurants. You should eat from the main food groups each time you have a meal: Protein and milk products, vegies and fruits, and grains. Also, get enough exercise and get enough rest. Keep in mind that some medications will cause constipation.

He's low-carb too, and these are better for him than hitting the snack machine. 1/2 to 3/4 cup egg whites Cinnamon to taste 1 packet Splenda Heat saute or frying pan over medium-high heat. Mix all ingredients together. Pour in 1/3 to 1/2 of mixture to make small pancakes, or pour in eggs and make one large crepe pancake.

May be I need to take them more often then just once a week. I have gone to that website you suggested and will order them from there as they are definitely cheaper. I paid for 4 ($100) until I could place an order from your favorite site.

Carbs are important for giving us energy, so I don't think it's healthy to cut them out completely as in the Atkins diet, but just being mindful of your carb intake can make a huge difference. Another factor is low blood sugars. The more hypoglycemic episodes a person has, the more excess calories and carbs one is taking into their body. It also means that the body is receiving more insulin then needed.

Lots of awareness, keeping a food journal (as I did and was amazed at the extra calories I didn't realise were in so called healthy low fat foods!), working on what makes you feel crud, or good. Every body is different. My body is not the same as your body which is not the same as my neighbours body. Not becoming complacent is another issue. I lapse every so often but pay the price. I am human after all!

Organic and natural are great, but remember that there are some pretty sugary natural foods. Treat those as possible enemies until you have "cleaned up" and cautiously tried them again. My dad was a severe hypoglycemic for years, lost his job, went on disability and was (mis)diagnosed as schizophrenic. He couldn't work, couldn't make decisions and was irritable.

I found out that I did have candida (mentioned above) and had to bite the bullet and finally become healthy. My sweet tooth and habit of eating starches and enjoying moderate alchohol with my friends had to go.

A lot of times when I walk a mile or two I can pay the price for it big time. I have very little adrenal function so I can't tolerate much. I also never know from day to day.
