Avatar f tn Also there are a lot of great healthy casserole recipes that require cooked chicken. I will put the chicken in the crockpot with my preferred seasonings before work, and by the time I get home, all I have to do is assemble the casserole and put it in the oven! That chicken also tastes good on a homemade salad if you start to feel too lazy for a casserole :) I hope th is helps!
Avatar n tn We've been having chicken breast, Brussels sprouts, and sweet potatoes. I swap the sprouts with asparagus or broccoli, and the sweet potatoes for brown rice to change it up from week to week. I also use a variety of spices for the chicken such as garlic, lemon pepper, or Old Bay.
Avatar f tn yup get a crock pot or slow cooker , throw in veggies, and lean chicken , add chicken stock and seasoning ...slowly cook .
21064 tn?1309308733 I love burgers but I don't like beef. turkey or chicken burgers can be just alright. I came up with a very simple chicken burger, I use ground chicken(perdue) but ground turkey works fine. 1lb ground chicken 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning, (you can add more if you like it zesty! not more than 1 tsp) 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp ground black pepper 1/2 Tbs veggie oil mix all together, let marinate in the refrig. for about an hour.

973741 tn?1342342773 Hi! Well, I have 2 boys that are 6 and 5. My 6 year old has sensory issues and eating has always been a challenge. We've been working on it (for eons!) and he is getting better about trying things. I am a mom who loves to throw a casserole in the oven for dinner. I was wondering if anyone had any yummy yet healthy casserole recipes that they've tried with kids with success! My boys like rice or noodles by the way.

Avatar f tn Wraps! There is soo many different things you can do with them., My husbands favorite is wheat wrap, then spread cream cheese on it (you can do low fat), and sprinkle some garlic powder on the cream cheese, spinach leafs, then turkey, rolled up. Sooo good, sounds a little weird but it's really good!

Im not sure if healthy cooking means people wanting to lose weight or something like this. most of the mediterranean recipes are quite healthy but they are not meant to lose weight in a proper way of speaking..

1237365 tn?1278449630 I was hoping some one could give me info on some good Websites or Books that could give me some recipes for kids that are healthy and SIMPLE. By simple I mean pretty basic stuff that doesn't have a lot of spices or prep time and is inexpensive. I'm a single mom of 5 kids and (i'm disabled so we live off of my Social Security Disability) we get a lot of food boxes which has basic stuff like rice, beans, pasta's,lunchmeat, hamburger and canned foods.
Avatar f tn I usually cooked lean (no skin) chicken, lean (97% lean) hamburger, green beans, eggs, and some chicken and rice in low-sodium chicken broth for my (now passed on) diabetic dachshund.
Avatar f tn Grilled chicken is healthy and delicious (: maybe have it with a salad?

Avatar f tn I hate to admit it but I am a picky eater. I've been working on branching out but it's still a bit difficult to find healthy recipes and foods that taste great (I know sometimes you have to suck it up and eat the icky stuff but by golly I'm sure going to try and find the good stuff first) and don't conflict with my allergies (nuts, shellfish/seafood and lactose intolerance) anyone with advice, recipes, substitutes for nuts or fish, anything comment!
1277082 tn?1344057820 Well, I don't really have any actual recipes but I do have advice for you in which it should probably help you out. For us with PCOS, it makes our bodies harder to digest simple carbs (i.e. pasta, breads, rice). So because of this, this is why we gain weight and this is why it takes so long to come off. My suggestions are as follows: Bread: whole grain, high fiber. Anything high fiber (yes it is more calories) works to your advantage, because it will make your body feel more full...
