Avatar f tn i like having fresh foods around. we just made butter and i used the buttermilk to make low fat bran muffins. you can find recipes that substitute oil out for apple sauce. i like the chewy factor the apple sauce brings to the muffins. and they're bran so they are very good for you and your potty habits.
4628530 tn?1369109086 Hi! So I've done a lot of juicing and have changed my diet somewhat, and have been reading about anti-inflammatory foods. I learned that the paleo diet excludes many of these foods, but am not sure because of all the red meat. I'm all out of ideas, hungry, and breastfeeding. For those of you that have found some relief by changing your diet, what do your typical meals look like ( breakfast, lunch, dinner)? Any good recipes?
Avatar m tn i am just wondering if any one has any healthy ideas for dinners. i am making a list of healthy ideas and any help would be nice. i will be putting the list on here so every one can use it.
Avatar f tn Add the zucchini and garlic, and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the zucchini is softened, about 7 minutes. Add the corn and thyme and cook for another 3 minutes. Place mixture in baking dish. Whisk together the eggs, cream and Gruyere, and sprinkle with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper. Pour over zucchini mixture, and bake for about 35 minutes, until set. this can be served warm or at room temperature.

Avatar f tn Also there are a lot of great healthy casserole recipes that require cooked chicken. I will put the chicken in the crockpot with my preferred seasonings before work, and by the time I get home, all I have to do is assemble the casserole and put it in the oven! That chicken also tastes good on a homemade salad if you start to feel too lazy for a casserole :) I hope th is helps!

Avatar f tn I was hungry all the time too...still am. Just make sure you have healthy things to snack on. I made some whole wheat banana bread muffins. The whole grain helped to fill me for a little while. Check out the king Arthur flour website for awesome recipes! I also have an Apple kick. Can't get enough of them.
172023 tn?1334672284 Lately I've been boring people by putting recipes in my Journal. I get a lot of feedback on it, so people seem to be interested. If we had a Healthy Cooking Forum, I could resume using my journal to record my controversial thoughts and opinions. Anyway, since this is a health oriented site, it would seem fitting to do this. Plus, you'll get a lot of hits with people searching the internet for recipes. Win/Win.
356518 tn?1322263642 we should start a whole recipe thread and share! I have tons of recipes I would gladly share. I love getting new ones to try from others as well. LEt me know if you guys want to do this.
804966 tn?1261895278 Oatmeal is another great food to eat to keep you full - try putting it in muffins, pancakes or on its own. Eggs are a healthy alternative if cooked in a dab of olive oil or else with PAM or just boiled or poached. Outside of breakfast try to reduce your white carbs (potatoes, white rice, white pasta, white breads) and eat more complex and healthy carbs (sweet potatoes, brown rice, brown rice pasta, and whole grain bread).

Avatar f tn Wraps! There is soo many different things you can do with them., My husbands favorite is wheat wrap, then spread cream cheese on it (you can do low fat), and sprinkle some garlic powder on the cream cheese, spinach leafs, then turkey, rolled up. Sooo good, sounds a little weird but it's really good!
Avatar f tn Sugar free peanut butter on brown/seeded bread toast; Wheetabix with milk with fruit if you wish Weetabix with natural yogurt and some soft fruit of your choice (blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, etc.) Shredded wheat with milk - add soft fruit if you wish Porridge cooked in the microwave for around 4 mins - cooked with milk, half milk and half water, or just water with soft fruit of your choice, or dried fruit, some cinnamon if you like it.
Avatar f tn Yes, rest if u can. Get out of the house, go for a walk. Wash baby clothes, bedding. I deep clean EVERYTHING, it's going to be a long time before U have time or energy to get what's in the coach cushions, dust, windows, clean fridge-I am a very clean person though, I can't stand seeing dust on shelves. Relax, get a pedicure. Pack hospital bag.
