I have had unexplained joint pain for 4 weeks in my hips, knees, ankles, wrists and elbows. I also have a spot on my spine that feels bruised. This pain occured sudden. I woke up one morning and was overcome with a severe pain in my hips. The pain is so debilitating. Before this, I was a very active, healthy person. Now, its hard to even get out of bed. i'm 36 years old. I was tested for lymes and the test came back negative.
About a month ago I contracted chlamydia with associated joint pain. I took a single 2g dose of azithromycin. Additionally, I have SIBO and constipation predominant IBS. The azithromycin helped with the chlamydia symptoms as well as the IBS symptoms, significantly alleviating my bloating. However, towards the end of the week I started having some urethral irritation again and fairly bad joint pain.
I also got joint pain in my hips . The first month I was on doxycycline it became worse and I was struggling to walk up and down stairs. It eventually got better and has never been that bad again, although I still have pain/stiffness occasionally.

About two days into the medication, I developed red itchy, burning skin patches all over my body, a pounding headache, terrible joint pain, itchy eyes, and a throat which feels swollen. He advised me to stop taking the medication as this may be an allergic/adverse reaction. In the last six months I have had joint pain in my hands, feet, ankles, knees, lower back, so bad that some days I can barely walk, or even grasp anything with my hands. My CBC was normal, tests for RA and lupus was normal, EBV was negative. She did a western blot as the only test for Lyme and my IgG p41 and IgM p23 were the only positive bands. What do you all think?
With joint pain. My doctor tested me for Lyme disease and it was positive. I took doxycycline For 12 Days till I developed a mild rash on my face. My doctor took me off and put me on amoxicillin for 2 more weeks.

Hello, so this is what happened. On December 29th, I received oral sex from a csw. The next day I had a discomfort feeling at the tip of the penis. I went a few days later to get tested for stds and everything came back negative. Then I was prescribed with Doxycyline. The pain at the tip of the penis has gotten better but I still have a discomfort feeling.
Some days I feel better than others. My main thing I have is the muscle and joint pain. I go back to my doc on the 14th. Will this ever go away? Will this just keep getting worse. I'm afraid that eventually I'll be in a wheelchair haha. Sometimes the joint pain gets pretty bad. Just would like to know what I'm in for.
