doxycycline and hip pain

I have a lot of hip pain but I don't actually think it is the hip bone itself. I think it's muscle and or nerve pain.

she claims to have hip pain in the groin area, up into the hip area connects to the upper thigh, around the lymph noid area, she doesnt seem to have swelling. it also hurts her on the outside top of her hip bone area. No other symptoms. I was worried because I have the same type of pain and I thought I could have caught an std. I was checked for chlmydia, Gonnarhea, syhlis, Hep C, and HIV, I was negative for all of these, so she would be as well. I nor her has had any herpes symptoms.

This time I was given a 1gram shot of antibiotics in the hip (can’t remember which one specifically ) 1gram of azythromycin and 1 week of doxycycline twice a week. Dull ache persists with fullness feeling in tip of penis and slight burning sensation.

I have been having a lot of pain down my rt leg for about the last 2 weeks. Had a hip MRI, it was fine....I DO have some bulging discs in my back with some nerve impingement.....but I have never had pain in my groin that goes down the front of my leg, into my knee. So, had a doppler this last week. No clots, but the lymph nodes in my groin are extremely large. I was put on Doxycycline, for 5 days now, 2 times daily. Still no change. Just very frustrated. This is NOT in my head.

X ray and ultrasound (except the visible nodes) are unremarkable, yet the discharge and change in activity would appear to be the only change factors, both indicating possible STD. Pain is still prevalent in upper pubic bone, front of hip.

my urologist now wants to put me on a round of amitriptyline since the inflammation has not totally receded and since there has a decent amount of pain. Urine test both before and after a prostate exam have been negative, and both ultrasounds I've done seem to be normal, with the exception of some small, bilateral hydroceles.

t know which pain started first but now my testicles are swollen and the right testicle is very tender and there is a sort of constant dull ache (only right), I have a pain in my penis which seems to be the urethra but its more so on the right side (of the inside) of my penis, in my stomach area, on the right side, the urthrea is sore when pressed down on all the way down to my right testicle. I have a pain in my lower back on the right side and pain in my right hip area.

Have gone to therapy, took round of Doxycycline (had lymes couple years ago) doc gave me that in case it was lyme symptoms rearing their ugly head, just had hip and lumbar MRI (shows nothing to cause hip pain), some bloodwork ANA (negative) C protein (negative) and am currently awaiting one more blood test result. I do have psoriasis on my elbows and doc is leaning toward psoriatic arthritis.... I have a rheumatologist appt at the end of the month.

So Im on day 5 of my meds and I still have the slight swollen lymph nodes and slight testicle and pelvic pain, ive also developed slight swollen nodes in my neck and a scratchy htroat this last week, mayby related maybe not. This had me worried about HIV. Ive had 3 HIV negative tests Antibodies, Antigens and RNA. MEanwhile my girlfriend, whom I believe hasnt cheated on me, has been complaining of hip pain. Almost in the exact spot of her glands and outer hip area.

my problem started after a covered exposure with a csw a few days after i began to experience severe nausea and severe sore throat then 2 weeks later buzzing electrical toe which then spread to my knees ankles then wrists and lower back my joint pain is now going on for 6 months with numbness and sensory problems i was tested for hiv 6 times over a 4 m0nth period i was also tested for hep gonnorhea chlamydia.

just pain in lower abdominal area. I took doxycycline and started peeing better but the pain is now permenent. any suggestions? tests? prostate maybe? who should i go see?

It seems though that about everyone of my brothers and sisters all have some hip pain. My older brother broke his hip 40 years ago and his pain was in his knee and recently (10 years ago) had a hip replacement. My older sister also had her hip replaced. My younger sister has had hip problems too. My question, who should I see about this first? My primary doctor, seek out an ortho?

the moment i started eating, drinking and even blurping, i had this really intense pain in my throat or rather esophagus between my chest area. my qn is, 1) is this the cause of the doxycycline or ngu or some std problem. 2) if it's the doxycycline, do i continue medication as indicated because my doc wanted me to complete my medication before my next appt which is soon to check to the ngu symptoms are still there or not and confirm recovery.

I am almost done with the antibiotics and my symptoms have improved and I will follow up with him to re test for Chlamydia 10 days after I am finished with the antibiotics. My concern is that I am having severe hip pain on my left and right side and have pain in my legs as well as some sparkling pain on my left and right abdominal side.

Just on my LT hip and it gets worse every week. I had a transplant in 08, but I started to notice the pain years before then. I was a helathcare worker and got stuck with an infected needle over 20 yrs ago. Now I am at the point where I need to use a cane occasionly and I am not yet 60. Any ideas out there? My hip pops when i walk and it hurts if i am laying down and try to move my legs.

Yesterday I had an x-ray to check for fracture of hip as I could put no weight on my left leg without agonising pain shooting from my hip, down the front and side of my thigh to my knee, and also into my groin. I have never felt pain like it. I also have numbness from knee to hip which is a weird sensation considering the pain. Although I was told there was no fracture I was given a walking frame and an offer of physiotherapy to be taken at home.

like does it fill up different, because with me I have a pain at my left hip going to my left testicle and thought maybe something to do with a clog with vas deferens?

I went from walking w/mild left hip pain to full on pain (as soon as I started using it) and it got so bad I literally had to get my hip replaced! Been using Levo for 7+ years. Tirosint was horrible.

Ok, so I had chlamydia once about 5 years ago, got treated and everything was good. I had an OOPS! about a month ago, (unprotected sex with a girl) and noticed some pain urinating, pain at the tip of my penis and now clear discharge. I went to the doctor and without testing, he gave my all three antiobiotics to treat chlamydia/ngu, gonorrhea and trich. In office they gave me one injection of Rocephin, and a prescription for Doxycycline and Flagyl.

I am only 13weeks but on and off since 2wks my left hip has been clicking and sometimes i get lower back pain. It is not really sore but is this normal?

I was over 300 lbs with lots of hip pain, thinking it all had to do with my weight...I dropped 100 lbs pain is worse. I have hip arthritis and a hip bursitis. I am 39 years young and my only option is PT and tylenol, then years from now a hip replacement that only average 15 years. My hip pops and clicks also, I have very limited range of motion in that hip, I can't walk for to long because it will make my whole leg start to hurt. Very depressing at times.

I am 19 weeks 3 days and for the past few days I have had the worst hip and back pain.everytime I walk my hips feel like they are going to pop out of socket and my back is just very sore...feels like I need to crack it. Is this normal because it hurts so bad and makes it hard to do much of anything.

My orthopedic surgeon told me the classic symptoms of a degenerated hip joint is pain in the groin. I couldn't cross my legs and the groin pain was quite constant.. As it turned out, after x-rays, I had a badly degenerated bone on bone hip joint, After a total hip replacement the pain went away. Unfortunately the trauma involved was what, in my case, apparently triggered my MS. Not all groin pains are related to the hip though.
