So, tums wasn't working well for me and my doc said it was OK for me to take pepto. Now, I'm reading from some others that its not OK. I took it once yesterday. Has anyone else taken pepto ? I'm 27w and 4d.
Pepto is fine. I've heard pickle juice works too. You can also try zantac 150.
I've tried them both for my problems which are like yours. They didn't work at all and were a waste of money (for me). Try Swedish Bitters from the health store and take about a spoonful in bubbly soda water and see how you feel. It helps me and I take it before bed and a couple of times in the day. Also try Slippry Elm powder - a teaspoon dissolved in a little water. That's often soothing.
Am 36 weeks and 1 day I can't get sleep every night I go to bed at 11:00pm and am a wake until 4 am plus am having hurtburnt everyday and night can anyone please tell me what to about hurtburnt and sleep trouble thank you
ve never had it before but I was with my mom all day and she told me that what I was having sounded like heart burn.. Any of you guys have any luck with natural remedies?? If so what?
Have you tried alka seltzer, pepto bismol? Maybe one of the antacids like prevacid, prilosec. Another one is Omeprazole that you can buy over the counter. Two more, Pepcid and Zantac. Otherwise, go to the doc.
If you have no money to go to doc right now and need immediate relief, I would recommend you try pepto bismol which coats the lining of your stomach or Tagamet or Zantac. Those are a few over the counter meds you could try. Also your pharmacist can assist you in your selection if you tell them your symptoms. If your symptoms continue, I would strongly recommend you get to the doc as it you could be making a bad situation much worse! Don't risk your health! :o) Good luck!
It sounds crazy! Butttt I have the most painful heartburn since day one of being pregnant I'm 3 months too and someone suggested to eat a dill pickle to help heartburn. I don't even care for pickles but I tried it and HOLY COW!!! Within minutes the heartburn is totally gone!!! It's the best! Tums. Zantac.
I'm not sure about the gas, but for indigestion I take zantac. Its safe to take, and the only thing that helps me. Even water gives me heartburn its ridiculous. And for the constipation, you can try natural remedies like lots of water, 100% juice, preferably prune juice, and lots of fiber. As far a medicine, miralax, and colace are ok to take for the constipation.
I wouldn't take pepto. I heard on here vanilla milkshakes and it worked for me. 2-3 tums should work too. Good luck!
Yes Tums and if i remember pepto is what my ob said. Or the prescription nexium or the generic as i was prescribed the generic because my heartburn is so bad,i was actually sent to a Cardiologist because at first they thought it was my heart add the pain was so bad and constant. But do not take Tums all day everyday as too much can be dangerous.
