Hi all. Few days ago I had something which didnt agree with me and ended up vomiting.. It was only a days ailment and went away but now since yesterday I notice after I wake up and drink water with my pills I get this sensation that there is something in my throat and like I have trapped gas and I need to burp so I drink water and indeed I burp. I am on Protonix 1 x 40mg and I suffer from gastritis/esophagitis since 2010 but every fall and spring I am.in a flair. Any advice?
Few hours later i was vomiting and had the worse stomach pain. I went to the hospital and they put me on IVs and anti-nauseous drugs (im not sure if the vomiting was related to the sore throat, like im not sure if its all the same disease doing this to me). I havent vomited in the past 4 days only did on the first day but i feel nauseous to the point i can barely eat anything. I can but i just feel so bad that i rather not have anything.
My doctor said I had acid reflux and a vitamin b12 deffecincy but the medication seemed to worsen my symptoms making me vomit a lot more ( a lot more bile and also foam even making it come up my throat without vomiting) and feel nauseus almost everyday so I took myself off of it. I don't believe that I have reflux because I can never feel the acid coming up my throat except when I was taking this medication. I also am always tired no matter how much sleep I have.
A week after the fatigue I developed a terrible neck stiffness and pain along with a sore throat. No fever. No rash. No ulcers that I could see. No vomiting or diarrhea. I am just now starting to feel better. The neck pain, sore throat, and fatigue were the worse. Tested for mono and strep both negative. I will test at 6 weeks and 12 but for now does that seem like ARS?
Last week it seems to be getting worst as i find myself coughing for no reason, pain in my throat, vomiting and shortness of breath some times with a bout of hot flash.. I now have to travel with a bottle of water. Everything does not subside until i clear my throat fully of mucus. During this time, i cannot speak until i clear my throat. Tonight while cooking, the smell of garlic mixed with curry overwhelmed me and i started coughing to the point of almost vomiting and shortness of breath.
If its bright red and isn't the only thing you are vomiting, then your throat is probably just irritated. If it is dark and looks like coffee grounds then go to the hospital asap.
My cat was coughing and breathing heavy. I took her to the Vet and after they took X-Ray I was told she has to be under medication for two weeks. I started her on Clavamox 15 ML but after couple of days I noticed she vomits after each intake. I was told by the Vet to give her Metochlopramide 5 MG first and wait 20 minutes before giving her Clavamox. She is not eating food and I am giving her Garbor baby food (chicken and rice) along with Clavamox. I noticed she still vomits after each intake.
Had another episode and was put on Zantac. The pain is right in the middle and usually after I eat. Doesn’t go in to my throat and coffee and wine don’t bother me. Sometimes the pain is so bad I vomit. Feels like a gnawing pain in to my back. Haven’t had an episode in a while. However I started having strange bowel movements with strings of tissue almost every day. When investigates it falls apart almost like it’s just fiber of some sort. Non moving and don’t hold structure like worms would.
I have been vomiting persistently for about 11 months now. Initially I had a depressive episode and thought the vomiting was due to anxiety and after being placed on SSRIs figured it was one of the side effects of those. After going off the meds and recovering quite well from the depression I have continued to vomit (about 3-10 times a day).
After vomiting I still feel nausea and burping. Both of them only after induced vomiting. This has taken a toll now. I usually sleep 8 hours a day. I don't drink or smoke. Yes I do eat alot of spicy food and citrus also adds in my diet. But I have stopped such food intakes for the past three weeks. But the problem has grown. What should I do now?
I was sitting up in bed and laid down on my side with my head propped up by my arm and all of a sudden I felt a burning sensation in my throat. I went to the bathroom and spat up what was oil residue from today. My throat burned even more when more came up and there was more oil residue. The bad thing is this is not the first time it happens. I usually don't get heartburn unless I'm pregnant. But I'm not and OTC Ranitidine is not helping.
How can I stop my cat from vomiting? She is taking Clavamox drops and was vomiting after each use. got some labs taken, and possibly even had an EGD done (esophagogastroduodenoscapy)-where they look down your throat with a little camera after numbing it to see if you did have ulcers...I was just really curious to find out what it was and if you got better.
My son who os 19 yrs old is having stomach pain with vomiting and complains that there is something in his throat for the last 2 wks. He has been to see 2 different Dr. He has been taking something for acid reflex and is on malox and musinex. He is getting no relieve. On 2 different occasions he has been vomiting blood. Any suggestions? He is not eating and is losing weight. Please HELP!!!
Sometimes I have throat pain. I have had this a lot of my life, it comes and goes, sometimes it will stay away as long as a year or so, but somehow it manages to come back. Do you think that this could be some type of cancer of the throat? I did have a lot of sore throats when I was younger. But I don't seem to have as many of them now, but I do have the tightness problem.
