Avatar n tn Normal readings are different for everyone. I fell into the normal range and NORMAL wasnt working for me. My body needs to be slightly hyper, SLIGHTLY to make me feel good. I have a Dr that listens to my symptoms and not my numbers!! I feel good at a 1!
1327431 tn?1327072104 They should give you the range for FT4 when you call for test results. You need to know the position in the range, not just the result. If possible, always get a copy of the lab report and write on there how you were feeling and your med dosage at the time. These become very valuable for future reference. Also, I would lean on them hard to do the FT3 test. Explain that you are aware of the possibility of inadequate conversion of T4 to T3 and want to make sure of your FT3 level.
Avatar f tn You didn't state your height and weight!! http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/body-mass-index-sub/?ordersrc=googlesearch65936How-Much-Should-I-Weigh_test&gclid=CMWn5_nco8QCFWkS7AodrFoAmg Although the BMI ranges are the same for men and women, at the same BMI, women usually have more body fat than men.
Avatar m tn Hello.I'm in the normal;healthy range?I'm 1_70 meters tall and my age is 16 years old.My weight is 64 kg.Should i start a diet?
Avatar m tn s hypoglycemia - it could be caused by diabetes or a range of other conditions. Being that this is combined with weight - he should absolutely see a doctor - perhaps a long time ago.
Avatar n tn Sorry for this recent update Dr. Lupo but I forgot to mention my sleep patterns are way off , have periods of increased pulse rate, periods of nausea with episodes, and also break out with periodic hives for no good reason. (All this with normal labs.) (Something is going on but can't find out what.) PLEASE HELP I"M DESPERATE FOR ANSWERS. THANK YOU SO MUCH DR!!
Avatar f tn The normal range for ALT is below 80, and the normal range for AST is below 40. Higher numbers indicate some active irritation or damage occurring in the liver. This forum is for people with Hepatitis C, so we are not especially knowledgeable about medication-caused liver inflammation. I hope your son will follow up carefully with his doctor and try to eliminate the offending medication if possible. At the very least, this needs to be very carefully monitored. Good luck!
Avatar m tn Many members report that symptom relief for them required that FT3 was adjusted into the upper part of its range and FT4 adjusted to at least midpoint of its range. If your doctor is unwilling to treat you clinically then you will have to find one that will do so. I think you will find this link to be very interesting. http://www.hormonerestoration.com/Thyroid.
Avatar m tn The root exhibited normal size. MITRAL VALVE: Valve structure was normal. There was normal leaflet separation. DOPPLER: The transmitral velocity was within the normal range. There was no evidence for stenosis. There was no regurgitation. LEFT ATRIUM: Size was normal. RIGHT VENTRICLE: The size was normal. Systolic function was normal. Wall thickness was normal. DOPPLER: Systolic pressure was within the normal range.
20909504 tn?1624166548 There any many men who ask this question: "What is the average penis size? Is mine within the normal range?" There is no one-size-fits-all for this; however, you can find some information here that might help you ease up on yourself. What we need to ask ourselves initially is "Why does it even matter?" Is it due to the fact that we acquire some sensation of masculinity and also prominence when we accumulate positively versus others?
Avatar f tn I believe that is a test for free T3 (FT3), not total T3. Since lab results will vary from lab-to-lab, they sometimes have their own slight variation in reference ranges. That said, the range for FT3 that I see on my lab report shows 2.3 - 4.2 Pg/ml. Your result is in the lower end of that range. If you have no hypo symptoms, that result is just fine.
Avatar f tn I believe the reason for this to be that the data bases for FT3 and FT4 testing have never been purged of suspect hypo patient data, as was done for TSH, when the ref. range for TSH was revised over 8 years ago. Accordingly, being in the lower end of these ranges just doesn't work for us. You can read more on this on this link. http://www.hormonerestoration.com/Thyroid.html Usually someone that is hypo will have more symptoms than just low metabolism. Do you have other symptoms?
Avatar n tn The thyroid levels appear normal but the TPO suggests an autoimmune thyroid problem. At this point no treatment is indicated based on what you posted. There is an increased risk for thyroid dysfunction (more likely hypo (hashi) but also hyper (graves)) and also an increased risk for goiter potentially. Would monitor only at perhaps 6 month intervals.
Avatar f tn You are normal if you are only 0.2-0.4 off from the normal range at any weight. No worries. The B12 and Vitamin D can easily be supplemented with "vitamins". B12 is water soluble so you can take one once a week under the tongue (sublingual) Methylcobalmin. You can up your dose of Vitamin D if your doctor recommends it. It can change depending on diet. So if you don't get much sun you can increase. I would ask the doctor if you need to.
Avatar m tn is my lab operating on a wrong range, because their normal ranges are more than double of those recommended by WHO? For example my last ALT level was 37U/L, which is well below the upper limit of normal according to my local lab; but according to the WHO, it is a bit higher than the upper level. So I'm confused what to believe. PS: on the WHO recommendations I have also read that local lab ranges should be applied as regards ALT.
Avatar n tn Those answers might help me to answer your question As far as the echo being read as borderline enlarged, my interpretation of that statement is that your atrium falls within the laboratories normal range for atrial aside. It is at the top end of the range. Men have organs that are larger than women's organs. Large men have large organs etc. So the lab range is relatively broad. And the heart is a muscle so there is some variation among well trained athletes as well.
Avatar f tn t exist to be on display for men. Add to that, painful shoulders from the bra straps, and painful muscles in the back, and it is a medical issue. Many women feel their bustline is out of proportion to the rest of their body when their breasts are that large, and they sure as heck have the right to feel that way.
487506 tn?1208855811 Hi, I just wanted to say I have had loads of thyroid symptoms including a premature menopause which has played havoc with my periods, but my results have remained in the normal range for a year. It is only now they have started to hit borderline abnormal so it can take ages for it to show up. Asked to be retested at frequent intervals.
Avatar m tn My question is now what? The doctor says my thyroid test was within normal range. But I know this has to be my thyroid. What test can i have him run on me that might tell us the bigger picture of what's going on with me. Thanks Tina H.
