Avatar n tn Hi there, Hope you are doing well. A good dietary regime and exercises all will be helpful in losing weight. Losing weight in a healthy way is important for maintaining the glow of your skin. Eat lots of fruits, dark green leafy vegetables, fruits and consume less of potato, sweetened and processed foods. Start your day by drinking lemon juice in warm water. Have fruits with lots of vitamin C in breakfast that will help you cut fats as vitamin C is a fat burner.

Avatar f tn I found out that was eating less than before just by paying attention. In a nutshell I now eat way less, lost weight (slowly but steadily) and feel way better....without any diet. (Oh - I cut back alcohol as well...). My only recipe was Consumed Calories > Calory Intake...

29837 tn?1414534648 I saw the primary a week ago regarding this problem. His take, as well as mine, is the result of stopping the dreadful pain medication Oxycodone abruptly, which was prescribed for me after my spinal surgery. As my ideal weight is 185, I now am 173. However, that's one pound more than a week ago. What this means, is that I'm not losing anymore weight, but have gained one pound. This tell me it's a gradual recovery from the withdrawal I'm going through. I know losing 15 lbs.
Avatar f tn t used to it, start slow - like walking for 10 minutes at a time a couple of times/day and work up to walking for 30-60 minutes daily. The rest of the advice here is good... try keeping a food diary so you know exactly how many calories you're eating. We often don't realize how many calories we're nibbling away.
Avatar n tn t underlying medical problems that might cause weight gain or prevent you from losing weight (hypothyroid, etc). By all means get his/her blessing before embarking on this journey. Once you've got your doctor's blessing, start a healthy eating program (right kinds of foods with the right portions). There are various websites where you can get info regarding calories and/or portion sizes and of course, everyone here is willing to help out with advice and encouragement.
Avatar n tn Most experts recommend 30-60 minutes of aerobic exercise three or four days a week, along with two or three days of weight-bearing, resistance exercise (such as weight lifting). This is sufficient to achieve satisfying results. You can exercise daily or on alternate days, depending on the availability of time. Walking is one of the simplest aerobic exercises. You can vary the intensity to match your fitness level.
Avatar f tn Other than walking 2 miles a day can anyone tell me how to go from 170lbs to 150lbs by march?
Avatar f tn Im 26 weeks and have gained 35 pounds. Its my first pregnancy. Im also trying to maintain that weight by eating healthier and walking every day for an hour. Its working so far. I wouldnt want to deprive my baby of nutrients she needs to continue her development. Its just temporary anyway...and since u have a good attitude about staying fit, im sure you'll loose all the baby weight after your baby is here and its safe for u to do so.
Avatar f tn But this week I started walking 45mins a day and Im well below my points for weight watcher and I have gained 2 whole pounds this week. Im doing everything right so why am i gaining if im taking the meds doing weight watchers drinking plenty of water and walking? its just so frusturating.
699217 tn?1323438700 I walk/jog about 4-5 miles per day (Ive incorporated it into my commute to work each day). Just walking though is GREAT exercise. And if you find a nice place to walk, it can be fun too... and very therapeutic.. its the only time in my whole day that is MY time. I walk/jog early in the morning, right around sunrise. Listen to my music and just absorb the peace of the early day. Eventually I started jogging cause the walking became less effective as the years went on.
Avatar f tn If you are walking 3 to 6 miles per day solely for the purpose of losing weight, consider cutting back to about 2 to 3 miles per day. That will be enough to maintain health without making your body think that it needs to operate at maximum energy efficiency. If you need to walk that much for other reasons, then do what you need to do, but change the kind of food you eat. No sugar, no junk food, no soda pop, and cook your own meals from groceries.
Avatar f tn And I know from personal experience that walking every day may not burn the weight off, but it makes mea lot less likely to eat one of the donuts that someone brings in to work!
Avatar n tn walking in small incriments would help say instead of walking for 30min you walk for 5 min 5 or 6 times a day you wont even know your working out and it will help with your metablism. have you ever heard of a colonic? it sounds gross but *** cleans your colon and you can lose up to 25pounds your body cant get rid of all the waste and ths helps alot so yu may want to try it.
1046985 tn?1305117048 This alone is very depressing, without all the pain and everything else that comes with this condition. My job requires me to be walking all day, around a 2000 metre furniture store, where I can easily rack up 7000 steps on my pedometer. Unfortunately, with all the pain etc, I can't physically get myself motivated to do any exercise outside of work, as working is taking all my strength at the moment.
Avatar f tn -running or even fast walking (NO WALKING) for about 30min each day is really helpful (fast walking actually burns alot more calories than running and works you out more) With running or fast walking, make sure you move your arms alot. -50-100squats each day will definitely tone your legs and hips -Horizontal bicycle or situps workout your stomach (I personally find that horizontal bicycles work me out more than situps) Sooo yuup!!
Avatar f tn Sweetie, don't pay it no mind... Ive never personally went thru an eating disorder but my weight has always gone up and down my whole life... I think it's a great thing that your gaining some weight for that baby of yours...
