Avatar n tn Hi there, Hope you are doing well. A good dietary regime and exercises all will be helpful in losing weight. Losing weight in a healthy way is important for maintaining the glow of your skin. Eat lots of fruits, dark green leafy vegetables, fruits and consume less of potato, sweetened and processed foods. Start your day by drinking lemon juice in warm water. Have fruits with lots of vitamin C in breakfast that will help you cut fats as vitamin C is a fat burner.
Avatar f tn Eat healthy and start setting an exercise routine.. Even walking with your parents can help.. When I was in my teens, I lost 20lbs in three months just by walking a mile a night with my dad and of I would have ate healthier I would've lost more.. Best of luck!
Avatar f tn I do feel losing 15 kg in 3 months is unrealistic if you plan to do this healthily. I've lost 15 kg but it has taken me 12 months. However, it hasn't been an onerous task, whereas diets I've done in the past have been. This time, I changed my life style as well as my eating habits. I haven't cut out chocolate altogether, and I cut it down gradually (which is why it's taken 12 months). I found that the craving for it dissolved over time, and now I rarely eat it.
Avatar n tn t underlying medical problems that might cause weight gain or prevent you from losing weight (hypothyroid, etc). By all means get his/her blessing before embarking on this journey. Once you've got your doctor's blessing, start a healthy eating program (right kinds of foods with the right portions). There are various websites where you can get info regarding calories and/or portion sizes and of course, everyone here is willing to help out with advice and encouragement.
Avatar n tn Most experts recommend 30-60 minutes of aerobic exercise three or four days a week, along with two or three days of weight-bearing, resistance exercise (such as weight lifting). This is sufficient to achieve satisfying results. You can exercise daily or on alternate days, depending on the availability of time. Walking is one of the simplest aerobic exercises. You can vary the intensity to match your fitness level.
Avatar f tn t keep it off do so only by virtue of daily exercise - and for most that daily exercise is walking - about 45-60 minutes daily. And I know from personal experience that walking every day may not burn the weight off, but it makes mea lot less likely to eat one of the donuts that someone brings in to work!
1293887 tn?1332702847 Maybe we could encourage each other to exercise, share meal recipes and our weight loss. I have lost about 6 kilos in the last few months but am struggling with the last 7 or 8. I would love to get down to maybe 60-62 kilos. I don't know what that is in pounds.
Avatar f tn I found out that was eating less than before just by paying attention. In a nutshell I now eat way less, lost weight (slowly but steadily) and feel way better....without any diet. (Oh - I cut back alcohol as well...). My only recipe was Consumed Calories > Calory Intake...
Avatar f tn If your A1C is high you are likely pre-diabetic. That combined with PCOS will make it tough getting pregnant. Ask your doctor about taking metformin. This will help regulate your insulin levels which will help your diabetes and will work with your ovaries to hopefully get them to ovulate. Metformin has also been known to help women lose weight combined with diet and exercise. Watch your portion size. When you eat a carb make sure you've got a protein. Cut out sugars.
Avatar f tn Many people find that they cannot lose weight by means of exercise alone. Exercise has many benefits, but weight loss may not be among them. In fact, strenuous exercise can even make it harder to lose weight, for many people. (I keep saying "many people," because it's highly individualized.) Diet, for many people, is much more important for weight loss than exercise is.
Avatar f tn such as soda, french frieds etc. Your going to want to add more fruit and vegetables to your diet. But most important exercise walking every day and taking baby steps walking for 5 minutes each day the first week and then buidling up. anything that you can do that will increase your heart rate and doing it every day over time you will start to loss the weight.you want to track your food intake and not go over a certain number of calories. there are apps out there that can help you as well.
1519805 tn?1291058650 As you mature, it will be more and more difficult to lose weight. However, large amounts of weight gain--with no change in diet or activity--usually hints at a medical condition. So make sure you rule those out first. First of all, there's nothing easy or quick about losing weight. I'm so frustrated with commercials and billboards that promise fast results. A fat camp means you'll lose weight while at camp, but then what happens when you get home?
Avatar f tn I didn't have any weight to lose after my hysterectomy; however, it's not any different losing after a hysterectomy than it is any other time. You have to make sure you're eating a healthy diet and getting plenty of exercise (do not exercise until your doctor says it's okay); however, walking is always good.
Avatar f tn Even though I just make it up the steps at home without losing my breath,is this a realistic expectation? Would exercise make it better? My weight gain is in normal range but I still have a bad conscience, feeling I should be exercising more.....
Avatar f tn But this week I started walking 45mins a day and Im well below my points for weight watcher and I have gained 2 whole pounds this week. Im doing everything right so why am i gaining if im taking the meds doing weight watchers drinking plenty of water and walking? its just so frusturating.
Avatar f tn I also think that if you can add exercise in to your day that does not seem like exercise your more likly to loose weight and you'll also be creating good habbits to keep weight off after. For example walk faster, take the longer route, park further from the shops, walk short distance leave the car behind, if you have a dog walk the dog more play with the dog more, if you have kids do more active things with them.
Avatar f tn t have hypothyroidism, insulin resistance, etc, as these can all make losing weight more difficult, as well as causing aches/pains by themselves. I totally agree that you need to opt for low impact exercise, such as swimming, water aerobics, yoga, etc. Once you start losing some weight, you should see some of the pains diminish.
Avatar n tn What you need to do is eliminate the common causes of increase in weight such as overeating, lack of exercise, diabetes, and hypothyroidism. Anemia, low proteins, adrenal gland problems, kidney and liver problems and Cushing Syndrome has to be eliminated. Late night snacking and poor sleep patterns too cause weight gain. Certain medications like antidepressants cause weight gain. Polycystic ovary too causes weight gain, hence has to be ruled out by an ultrasound of abdomen.
Avatar n tn Since I am so underactive, can exercise benefit in any way? Is my body capable of losing weight when so very underactive? On days that I do exercise, I am extremely fatigued. I am concerned that the exercise is causing more harm than good. I am losing hair by the handfuls so am wondering if my body is already in 'crisis' mode and the exercise is just too much. Was curious if stopping exercise would help with the hair loss. Thank you so much for your help.
Avatar n tn You can't really "spot reduce", but general exercise and losing weight from the entire body will definitely help. Walking is good for both the abs and the legs, actually the entire body!! I've always had rather thick thighs also and I believe that walking does about as good as anything.
Avatar f tn im a 20 year old female.. and i weigh over 150 pounds.. i need to reduce some weight by December. could you recommend some diet plans please? thankyou. P.S. i am not an exercise person. i dont like to walk or jog.
Avatar f tn Im 26 weeks and have gained 35 pounds. Its my first pregnancy. Im also trying to maintain that weight by eating healthier and walking every day for an hour. Its working so far. I wouldnt want to deprive my baby of nutrients she needs to continue her development. Its just temporary anyway...and since u have a good attitude about staying fit, im sure you'll loose all the baby weight after your baby is here and its safe for u to do so.
Avatar f tn Other than walking 2 miles a day can anyone tell me how to go from 170lbs to 150lbs by march?
