Avatar f tn Its good you've set a goal and are looking to find out how to achieve it! However losing 15 pounds in a month is unrealistic and unhealthy. Did you know it takes about a year for your body to adjust to losing 10 pounds? It's important to remember weight loss is a marathon and not a sprint. In order to lose weight and keep it off, you shouldn't look at it as weight loss but a way to become healthier!
Avatar f tn I weight 250 pounds an I'm 5 feet ,6 inches what the fastest way for me to lose weight?
Avatar n tn A good dietary regime and exercises all will be helpful in losing weight. Losing weight in a healthy way is important for maintaining the glow of your skin. Eat lots of fruits, dark green leafy vegetables, fruits and consume less of potato, sweetened and processed foods. Start your day by drinking lemon juice in warm water. Have fruits with lots of vitamin C in breakfast that will help you cut fats as vitamin C is a fat burner. Exercise daily for 30-40 minutes like walking or aerobic exercise.
Avatar n tn s keeping you from losing weight. By eating regular meals, you can better incorporate a mix of vegetables, protein, whole grains and healthy fats into your diet. Snacking, typically, ends up being fruit, candy bars, crackers, sandwiches, chips and all the things that aren't so good for you and tend to make you, either, gain or hold onto weight.

Avatar f tn Hi luvencasa, I suspect you are asking for a healthy way to gain weight since according to your profile you stay pretty active and eat healthy foods (which is great!). I've never been in your position.
Avatar f tn I understand the morning sickness is no joke. My first pregnancy my morning sickness was so bad I had it for 4 months straight.l'm small as well n honestly every women carry pregnancy different. I didn't gain a lot of weight in my first trimester but eat what u can just to put something in your stomach and drink water stay hydrated as much as u can. Until the morning sickness passes. I didn't really start picking up weight until my second trimester...
Avatar f tn Hello there, It would be really dangerous to you to lose that much weight, ie 15 lbs in 2 weeks. A good amount of weight is about 2 lbs per week. The middle of August is about 4 weeks away. Even in 4 weeks, unless you go on what I would call a drastic diet or a starvation diet which would probably put your body in shock, you can't lose 15 lbs in a healthy way. Some people might think that if you drastically reduce your calorie intake, the weight will just fall off you. This is not true.
579258 tn?1250649343 That is, afterall, one of my priorities for losing weight. Every single time I feel like giving up or ending a workout early I actually yell at myself (sometimes in my head since I don't want to wake up the kids). "Do you want this? Do you want another baby?!" is basically what I scream at myself to keep myself going. I do have other focuses for weight loss, the main one being my health of course. But picturing that baby is so much easier and gives me great focus.
Avatar f tn Breastfed and I tried to eat healthy but yea that was hard especially since thanksgiving was just a few days away lol but honestly it depends on your body some girls can eat healthy and exercise but it takes them a while to lose weight but some girls can excerise one time and lose 40 pounds hahaha
Avatar f tn So my dr told me that I am losing weight today at my appointment. I know its natural in the first trimester but my dr is concerned and says I need to start gaining. Problem is I am never hungry. I eat a small meal at lunch time and feel completely stuffed the rest of the day/night. Anyone have any suggestions?? I'm already high risk, I don't want anything else to happen too!
Avatar f tn Healthy eating and moderate exercise are the best way to lose/keep weight off. You can't "spot lose", such as the belly, but you can tone the muscles, so it won't look as large. You might try yoga; it's excellent for toning muscles.
Avatar n tn t really need to gain if you were over weight when the pregnancy started. Eat healthy meals, normal portions, exercise moderately. You may lose weight naturally as baby takes up some of the excess calories you were consuming. I'd consider yourself weight neutral right now and just eat healthy with proper portion control and not worry about the end result of your weight.
Avatar n tn Why do you want to be underweight? If you love sports you most likely have a lot of muscle mas making up your current underweight BMI. Get a fat percentage measurement done and you may find that you should actually worry more about properly nourishing and taking care of your body's needs than losing weight. Don't hurt yourself, and your body will continue to play sports. Underweight is not good. http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/guidelines/obesity/BMI/bmicalc.
Avatar f tn A healthy nutrition plan is the very first thing you should start with. Stay away from sugars and starches, eat plenty of veggies especially the greens, get plenty of lean protein in your diet like chicken breasts, most fish, lean pork tender loin, and very lean red meat. Exercise daily if possible. Even if only 10-15 minutes a day, don't think that because you can't spend a ton of time exercising that it's a waste of time. Any exercise at all is better than none.
Avatar f tn I think it's too much sitting compressing your nerves. Can you try to walk more? That's really good for your circulation and muscles and back. And change your diet to mostly vegetarian with small quantities of protein, like the size of a deck of cards, once a day. Avoid carbs except in small amounts, and make them healthy. A potato or sweet potato has some nutrition and fiber, but cookies don't.
Avatar f tn They should be able to set and appropriate goal weight for you, and give you some tips on losing some weight. Never try starving yourself or making yourself throw up. You are wonderfully made. Keep going. You can do it.

Avatar f tn It also helps to plan your meals ahead of time so that you know before hand how many calories your going to eat that day. You dont have to eat much of some foods to keep from losing weight. You can purchase the calorie counter book in a paper back at most any book store... Id also suggest that you try eating 1,500to 1,600 calories daily. Most males usually use or burn about 2400 calories daily.
Avatar n tn You must first realize how much food you are eating. Once you have a good idea of how much you normally eat, begin to cut down on that amount, but only by a little bit. Gradually increase the amount of food that you are cutting down. Once you are accustomed to eating a smaller amount, try to begin eating a little healthier. While you are getting healthy, it is important to exercise as well. Always check the ingredients, calories, fat, carbohydrates, and vitamins of the food you buy.
