if this was back in 1990 surely todays tests would be more accurate than back then.
so if you catch hiv/hep at the same time would this delay the production of antibodies by long then ? and how long do you think it would take to turn positive ? i didnt think it would make much of a difference .......

Ok so I got an HIV test done and I got the Screening ELISA Positive but then they did a western blot with the same sample and it came back negative. I was freaked out so I went for an over the counter saliva test that came back negative but then google worried me again and I went for a DNA PCR test a week later with a new blood sample and they ran another ELISA both of which came back negative.

Recently my child became ill with some calf pain and elevated Liver enzymes decreased wbc (1.7) and fever for 7 days over 101. degrees was hospitalized and tested for EBV , Hep, and bone marrow came showed something had suppressed his immune system but he was now recovering and his WBC and Neutophils were going back to normal.Thank God!!

And at Japan, the window period always be though around 2 months, I've checked HIV-anti at 5 weeks, but they tell me it's too early so there's no meaning of this test.

You would have to ask them as to why they can't. I can speculate but that is all it would be.
My speculation is that people fear for the worst and expect the worst and then hear or read something about testing positive after 3 months so they convince themselves that they are going to test positive like someone did in 1990 or whenever. It's all about anxiety and what the mind wants to believe and does believe. This is not just for HIV but for many things in life.
