Hiv negative dating hiv positive

Common Questions and Answers about Hiv negative dating hiv positive

Avatar f tn Hi recently I am dating with someone who is hiv positive. I am negative. I liked him but I also want to know how to really protect myself at the same time. We did not have oral sex. The only thing I did was rubbing his anal without a condom but there were no penetration involved. I was consern about the anal hole and my penis with precum contacting from my urethra tip and his anal hole will there be a risk?
6939574 tn?1390931449 They tested me and came back positive for Chlamydia. I got an hiv blood test and it came back negative. That was only 3 weeks after exposure. I have now been feeling very ill. I been nauseous, not hungry, sweaty and cold, and having loose stools. I been burping a lot too? 2 nights ago I woke up in the middle of the night thinking I was going to puke. I felt like I had a fever. This is 4 weeks after exposure.
Avatar m tn I asked him if he was HIV negative and he said he was negative. We went out a couple of more times and he subsequently told me that he was indeed HIV positive. He said that had recently been diagnosed and that his HIV specialist said that his “levels were where they needed to be at,” but was going to begin having him take the pill regimen to get his body use to it.
Avatar f tn It's a complicated story; I was dating this guy for 3 years and the past 6 months we have been on and off. Well last month around may 17th I was told by a friend he cheated on me with a herion addict. We live in a small town so rumors so happen. So I didn't know if it was true or not. I asked him and of course he denied it. But I went and got test the 22nd of May. Came back negative. So I continued to sleep with him but then we broke up again and decided to get checked june 20th.
936016 tn?1332769204 Diagnosis may be difficult and uncomfortable but in Western Industrialised countires knowing your HIV status - positive or negative is ALWAYS a good thing. Knowing you are HIV positive and engaging in medical care will preserve your life to a normal lifespan. It sounds obvious, but in order to acquire HIV there has to be a significant exposure. A significant sexual exposure means unprotected vaginal and or anal (or both) penetrative sex with a person who already has HIV infection.
Avatar f tn I recently started dating a female. We basically did everything but have intercourse. Before having intercourse we both decided to get full std screening. Hers came back hiv "positive"!!! They performed some testing and her viral load was sky high in the millions the Dr. Said. I now believe I need to test because I may have become infected. We made out heavily and one occasion we did so after getting her tongue pierced. My fear is that I remember tasting blood during the kissing.
Avatar m tn The guy seems to understand me and is taking pretty well, and he was texting all morning, telling me that he doesn't see me any different. Yes, we spoke about all other STD's. I am happy to say that I am negative for HIV and everything else, and so is he. The sad thing is that for some reason I feel like I am still not worth anyone's time or deserve to be loved because of this virus.
Avatar f tn This and I just found out the second mono test is negative, so something to explain a false positive monospot and my symptoms right after ver rare sexual contact.... Well back to nervous now....
Avatar f tn Ive been dating this guy which I really like for a while and we had sex with a condom once, then he told me he is HIV positive and is taking truvada, I like him n we r dating but me being HIV negative I can't help but worry if I got it already. What is the probability that I got HIV if he is on truvada and we used a condom? He mentioned he is not rcontagious n has the least aggressive form of HIV. He's been on treatment for 29 years and is undetectable.
Avatar m tn Thankfully you are right I did go back to the doctor yesterday and the results for the WB tests were negative for HIV-1. It is a huge relief. It is just unfortunate that a false positive HIV with pregnancy is something you normally wouldn't know about until you are in the situation, and it is a really rough week. Thank you for your feed back.
Avatar m tn During that time i stupidly let my partner insert his penis inside me on several occasions, Although he never ejaculated inside me, He assured me he is hiv negative and has recently been tested, I tested hiv negative three months ago( when we started dating), and since ending the relationship ive tested negative 11 days after last sexual contact with him. Now were no longer together im a bit stressed and feeling guilty I put my health at risk.
Avatar f tn This is the first time ive had unprotected sex with anyone i wasbt dating for 4 plus years. What is my risk of having hiv?
Avatar f tn I was dating a guy who confessed to me he was HIV positive after the first time we had sex. I freaked out and I am feeling anxious. We did use a condom and the ocd in me made me check it after and it didn't break, he also said he has been on treatment for 9 years and his viral load is very low and he is undetectable. He takes truvada he said. I got a test after 2 weeks after exposure and it was negative thank God.
Avatar m tn Probably 70-80% of infected people would have positive oral fluids tests by 3 weeks, so that negative result is reassuring but not definitive. Probably teh 3 months result will also be negative. Or have a lab-based DUO test at a clinic at 4 weeks, which also will be conclusive without having to wait another 2 months.
Avatar n tn My girlfriend went for her pap smear and had everything checked and even had them check HIV and that came back negative. So is it safe to say that IF she is negative I'm negative as well? I haven't taken a test yet. Since we are in a menogamous relationship and have unprotected sex. As shadow and others have stated before that I was negative and never at a risk. Thank you.
Avatar m tn Hi, at 5 months past exposure I have tested negative for HIV antibodies through a rapid oral swab test. I have tested negative also at 6 weeks, 3 months, and 4 months too. I have not felt 100% back to normal though after getting flu-like symptoms within a month after exposure, and the clinic's paper I received my results on at 5 months stated that results aren't conclusive until SIX months. 1. Do I need to retest?? 2.
Avatar n tn 9 Days after the initial encounter I went to my regular health care provider because I wanted to get check for HIV. The test came back negative, and the HIV test was only 9 days after possible exposure. I did contract gentile warts from this woman also. 32 days after possible exposure I started to develop very sore armpits, a neck, and clavicle area. The pain was moderate to mild and I am to be considered a generally healthy person.
Avatar n tn It was just his semen on the little wound, about 1 cm long...
Avatar f tn 1. Suppose that the other man was HIV positive. What are the chances that I am now also infected, given the extremely brief exposure so early in intercourse? 2. Is it worth going to another clinic now (at 10 weeks) and getting a test? Would the results of that slightly-early screening mean anything at all? Obviously, if I test negative, I would probably need to do it again after 13 weeks, but I'm dieing for even a little peace of mind here. 3.

Avatar f tn My partner was tested yesterday for HIV rna and it shows negative. However I had unprotected sex with her around 2.5 weeks ago. However she is on PrEP. She is also a sex worker and had previous sexual contact with others few hours before having sex with me. Could HIV from semen of other men be left in her vagina that could have exposed to me to HIV? Thank you.
Avatar n tn Finally, you have a negative HIV test at 8 weeks when 98-99% of all persons who are going to have infection will have positive tests. Bottom line, you do not have HIV. I personally see no reason for further testing as a repeat test at 12 weeks would change things very little in turns of the probability that you are infected. Hope this helps.
Avatar n tn I got the shot earlier that month so they wanted to let me know that it worked, I was immune to it. The HIV test turned out to be negative. I was happy with this news.. well for a while that is. A few weeks after that I noticed a swollen lymph node in my groin area, a few days after that I was diagnosed with a urinary track infection. Took medication for it, then got a yeast infection due to the medication I was on.
Avatar f tn I know the only way to know for sure is to get tested and I have made an appointment to do so but the appointment isn't for another month yet and I'm terrified to be tested ( though I realize that I HAVE to ) because of the negative stigma associated with HIV, my fear of losing my current partner if I tested positive etc. I'm affter spending countless hours looking up hiv statistics and information, I'm distracted by the fear at school, work, and even when I'm out with my friends.
Avatar n tn I am dating a new woman now and I cannot sleep with the thought that I could give HIV to her. At one point can I move on? Perhaps wait until August? Thank you so much for your time.
