Can someone tell me what STDs can be treated with Doxycycline? Can you list all of them please? Thank you.
I took an std test for chlamydia and gonnorea and they both came back negative but the doctor gave diflucan thinking it might be a yeast infection. It worked for about a week and then the burning came back. The doctor then gave me doxycycline( 10 days 2 pills easch day) and said that this should work. It works a little but he said it might take a week and its been six days. I have a couple of questions.

t mention in the herpes forum. You might have an oral yeast infection triggered by the doxycycline. Stop taking it immediately and see the doc who prescribed it.
A week ago my doctor gave me doxycycline hydrate to fight off an infection that is causing me to have a itchy urethra. My doctor did not do a swap test or anything but thought i had a bacterial infection. Present day ( a week of the medication) I still feel the itchiness and am thinking that I have a yeast infection. I've heard eating yogurt can help fight it, but what about dairy free yogurt? Would eating one container of dairy free yogurt help?
I've been taking doxycycline for a week now (for prostatitis). Yesterday I noticed that the head of my penis was really red and is peeling a little bit. Nothing hurts or itches and there is no discharge, it's just really red, like a wide red strip down the head of my penis.
I was treated with ceftriaxone and Doxycycline but my wife was only treated with 100mg of Doxycycline twice a day for 7 days. She was not diagnosed. Is it possible that Doxycycline will cure Gonorrhea on its own. She felt some burning in her urethra but only after treatment. Her Dr. thought it may be just a yeast infection from strong antibiotics. What are the chances her complete uranylisis will show that she is negative for Gonorrhea?
if you have symptoms, you need to be seen. the sooner the better so you can get an accurate diagnosis and testing done.
My regular doctor did give me a 3 day prescription for a yeast infection and told me to stop taking the doxycycline if the doxycycline was not helping within a week, wait a few days and then take the diflucan once a day for three days. Although he said I would have a rash if I have a yeast infection (which I don't) so he concluded I didn't have a yeast infection.
I am going to see the urologist in about 2 weeks and I hope he does either the swab test or the cystocopy (if need).
Raging yeast infection! Well i took the doxycycline for 5 days before my ex fiance wanted to come back. We were together sexually on the 19th. No oral. (The gonorrhea and chlamydia test came back negative....vaginally) im scared to death it could still be in my throat. I gave him oral on the 20th. I have some symptoms but that also is the same symptoms of ovulation and yeast infection....HELP!?!?!?!?
is it possible that the rash is the result of taking the Ofloxacin, and more specifically, perhaps the result of a build up of bacteria (yeast)? If so, will taking the Doxycycline clear up the rash, or will it just increase the amount of yeast bacteria build up, and thus worsen a rash that could be the result of excess candida in the body?
It is not a yeast infection. And the doxycycline is not going to do anything for you at taking it that way. We do not advise on self-medicating. You should wait for planned parenthood or get to a doctor. Treating what you have with the wrong antibiotics can cause it to be resistant and then you may have a more difficult time curing it.
I also had an infection on the tip of my penis, I was born with the size of a dime skin missing from the tip of my penis but it started like peeling back and hurting so I mentioned that to the Doc and he looked at it and said it looks like it was infected and could possibly be an STD. He have me Doxycycline for the infection on my penis. He also gave me another antibiotic too for my intestinal infection.
I was diagnosed with chlamydia about a month ago and was given doxycycline. At the end of that treatment I got tested again and was given Azithromycin. Now it’s been three weeks since that dose and I still have symptoms?
He said that while I probably did have a Non-gonococcal urethritis the antibiotic doxycycline hyclate made conditions favorable for a yeast infection. hi since may of this year, i have been on the following, keflex twice(70 pills total), cipro twice (40 pills total), azthromycin twice (8 pills total), doxycycline (40 pills total), bactrim(30 pills) and 3 rocephin shots). would that be why for the past few months i have had yeast/fungal issues, they come and go in my groin and under stomach and arm area, and little yeast bumps on body?

I noticed painless and non-ithcy red spots on penis head, after 2 weeks of doxycycline that recovers me from Gonorrhea. Should I be worried? They are not raised and are quite scattered around in small numbers.

I read up that both partners should be treated so I got her to get treated as well and we both were put on Doxycycline Hyclate me for 10 days her for 7 100mg. After the amox clav I got this shiny spot on my penis head that would turn into a slight bump when I was erect. I then got two more spots which I think are friction burn because during the antibiotics we grinded really hard since we couldn’t have sex.

A little backstory, I tested positive for chlamydia on Feb 14 and took antibiotics, which failed. The azrythromicin failed twice but my chlamydia was eventually treated with doxycycline. It’s May 4 now and I am experiencing constant itching, excessive discharge, and burning when I urinate. I don’t have a yeast infection, uti and I tested negative for all the stis that they test for on a standard screening. I have been itching for about 2-3 weeks now like this.
I have had no pain while urinating and no discharge. The only symptoms I have seem to be related to the yeast infection and look like yeast infection pictures I've seen on the internet. The symptoms are mild irritation and a little redness along with the raised area around my urethra. No blisters or sore spots. I'm sure I'm getting to be pretty annoying by now but my question is: When I finish the doxycycline can I be sure I am clean?
I realize the you took the azithromycin but she took the doxycycline, as I read your post. This common leads to yeast infections.
