doxycycline and ivf

I am about 5 weeks pregnant. I have just completed a 10 day course of doxycycline. I am very concerned about how high the risk is for my baby. Does anyone have any information on this?

My doc prescribed him and myself antibiotics to bring that down, doxycycline (sp?) and I am proceeding with ivf. We have to take it for 2 weeks.

Check with your job benefits and insurance, you never know and may be surprised. It seems a lot of people have IVF covered by insurance but that doesn't happen where I live.

I have started on my IVF meds. Only one more day on femara, and started the follistim at 225iu last night. It burns after injecting. I have had 5 pound weight gain since starting Femara. I think it is fluid retention. My stomach is bloated also. I am also on doxycycline and dexamethosone. Is the fluid retention normal, esp the abdominal bloating?

I took doxy that was prescribed by my dr for IVF. The last day of my medication was a day after my embryo transfer and I'm sure it was in my system longer than that since I took it for 5 days. What did your dr say about it? I would think it would be ok since my dr put me on it specifically for the ivf process.

GRADES, (which dont know what that means), i am going back and forth as to how many he should put in, one main reason besides infertility for me doing ivf and now fet is to be able to have a chance to have twin pregnancy. The first time he implanted 2 and i swear i felt that his protocal was not very good i never once for a min felt prgnant, i feel that the embies didnt have a chance fore some reason, it might be in my head.

I had 4 failed IUIs before switching to IVF. Thankfully we had success at first attempt. I took Lupron, Gonal F, and Menopur. I started progesterone injections the day of retrieval and switched to Crinone at 7 weeks. I also had acupuncture treatment 30 minutes prior to transfer and again immediately after followed by three days of strict bed rest. Retrieved 10 eggs, 9 fertilized with ICSI, 2 transferred on day 5. We froze 5.

I have searched the internet up and down and can not find anything that is very helpful and doctors are to busy!! I thought maybe someone who has had donor IVF could help me!!

Tomorrow my suppression phase (leuprolide acetate shots) for ICSI process is going to start. I have a history of very bad Gastritis. And I again have gastritis symptoms for past one month now and i am on medicines. So was little worried if it is going to be any harm to my ICSI process. Though doctor has assured me, but i m still so tensed. I already feel so bloated, are these injections going to worsen the condition. I dont want to delay the process as well. Please help.

Doxycycline 100 mgm by mouth twice/day for 6 weeks and then once/day for 3-6 months is a common treatment of blepharitis and meibomian gland disease. It is not so much antibacterial as antiinflammatory and gets into the oild gland. That's the reason its also used for acne. There is a new product that is specific for blepharitis but I don't have the details or brand name. None of these cause floaters.

instead, i juz told her my prob and she diagnosed me wif oesophagus reflux(side effect of doxycycline) meanin the acid in my stomach traveled up to my esophagus causing irritation and prescibe me wif anacid. i read somewhere that if i were to take doxycycline, i must not take anacid because it will lessen the effectiveness of doxycycline. so, now i'm at a lost again..

Has anyone had low dose doxycycline (50mg) used for rosacea or used any antibiotic and got severe vertigo 40 minutes after taking it? I'm not an MD and not medically trained, but to my knowledge, doxycycline would not treat a yeast infection. Doxy is an antibiotic that treats only bacteria (including Lyme), not yeast (which is in the fungus family). In addition, antibiotics wipe out not only 'bad' bacteria but also the 'good' bacteria that protect your body against fungal infections. It may be that the receptionist at the MD's office got things confused. I would check to be sure.

see your doctor. and realize that you canNOT treat all STDs and that MDs do NOT have good tests for all STDs. some STDS we just call em when we see them. so they can say "i don't think you have herpes" but then you could have it. unless they do a blood test and for men, then don't have a test for HPV...

I have been on doxycycline an antibiotic for about 5 days and i seem to be feeling very anxious and panic like. Does anyone know if this can cause these symptoms. I am also on 25mg of zoloft. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I took Doxycycline for 10 days to treat a sinus infection. A week after finishing the Doxy I developed a sore throat and sore tongue. I'm assuming it is a reaction to the drug. How long will this stay in my system and is there anything I can take to alleviate the reaction?
