Hello all! I'm sure that this topic has come up before, but I can't find the post. I'm now 15w2d and have been coughing like crazy for the last week or so. It's so bad to the point where I'm occasionally gagging. I called the doctor today and she said all I can do is have tea with honey or some lozenges. Cough syrups have way too much alcohol in them. Has anyone else had success with anything "safe" for us?

I must say it worked great as his ears are really free from wax now. I shall only do it when I feel he needs it. Don't want to freak him out and chase him round the room. When I sprayed one ear, of course he made off at a great rate and I had to catch him to do other one. Poor Smudge, I hated upsetting him like that. We are friends again now!!

I have an 18 month old terrier mix (yorkie/schnauzer). He has stinky ears. I've gently put a swab in his ear to see if there is any discharge or black spots for mites. No discharge. No mites. His ears aren't red at all. He doesn't itch them or shake them more than often. I've been cleaning his ears daily for about a week with OTC dog ear cleaner. It's helping but they are still a little stinky. Any ideas on getting rid of the stink?

before i stopped smoking i was coughing alot through the day,now i breath eazier,cough a few times through the day,its a dry cough,when do your lung start cleaning the **** out,arent you ment to start coughing your lungs out when u stop smoking?

m under water. I know it is wax but my ears make more wax than it usually does (witch the Doc told me) so I was wondering how far down can I clean my ears with out touching the eardrum.. to be honest I forget what inside looks like that's why I'm asking.. + i dont clean my ears out with Q-tips anymore.. I have a white cat who gets sunburn, especially if something removes the hair on her ears. When she was pregnant and nursing, her ears lost a lot of hair, and after that she got sunburnt ears often because the skin was exposed. One never, never uses cotton tips to clean out one's ear. Go to Dr. Oz's blog or website...or Google...Cleaning ears with q-tips. The q-tip cotton could be the "culprit"...You need to see doctor and tell him that your cleaning your ears with q-tips. Cotton loosens.. gets clogged inside your ear.. Like I said...to to Dr. oz or google...Q-tips bad for cleaning ears... Good luck...

s not possible to remove excessive earwax or even know if its a problem by using a Q-tip. We generally advise not to use Q-tips for cleaning the inside of the ears, because this can actually push the wax farther into the ear rather than remove it. It is possible that there was some wax that became dislodged as you were cleaning.

When I put my fingers in my ears to itch them, the inside of my right ear feels different than my left. When I run the back of my finger nails across the inside of my ears (as if a q-tip would if they were cleaning them) I can feel a bony piece almost like a small grain of rice or a small circular piece that I go over in my right ear but not my left. You want it to get down into her ears. when you have it good and frothy, take your thumb and forefinger to massage under/behind her ears where it bulges a bit before meeting her head. Then rinse, rinse, rinse, inside and outside the ear. Rinse until you no longer see evidence of soap. Yes, her ears will have water in them. Thats okay, as she will just skake it out. Dry her ears as good as you can.
