coughing up junk

Ive asked the doctor about it & of course he said it was just a cold. But said put vasiline up your nose to mosturize! I just always try & get the junk outta my nose & throat as often as its there which is a temporary relief! Sometimes the positions i lay in or the ways i move can make the coughing worse. But try not to thinl about it & sometimes it will go away !

so I've been coughing up black coffee grounds for a few years, I've seen at least 5+different doctors that have not been any help, the only thing 1 doctor told me was to try to stop smoking,I've smoked cigs since I was 17,so I quit cigs for 6 months with no change and saw the doctor again and he wasn't able to tell me anything.I cough the stuff up at least 10 times every 18 mins, sometimes more. Does anyone else experience this?Also can anyone provide insight to this?

I've had a cough for going on five months now. It first appeared around the same time I was given an inhaler, as the doctor suspected I had allergic asthma. I have hayfever and am allergic to dust, animals, tree spores etc. When it started it was mainly immediately after I ate but now I get it more frequently and often randomly. It's non productive and I often find myself coughing so hard I taste blood. I often have uncontrollable coughing fits that leave me gasping for breath.

m still coughing a lot. Why oh why must the coughing trigger the gag reflex? I have a bad gag reflex anyway but the coughing is making it worse. Anyone else dealing with this?

I have something similar but I believe different at the same time. My throat closes up and I can't breathe. I have to try to pull air into my lungs and it takes several excruciatingly slow inhales (fighting all the way) until my throat opens up again. This is extremely nerve racking. I have had it happen to me twice while sleeping. I have also had it happen when I've had a tickle in my throat that wouldn't go away and my protracted coughing seized up my throat.

I have another questions I have been doing alot of coughing been coughing up alot of plehm but for the past half hour I have been coughing up blood not a smear of blood but a half dollar size amount of blood each time should I worry about this.

They did manage to bring her back and no sooner did they kick us out of there! The doctor sure had a scared look on his face too. Lately she has been coughing up blood and her hand gets to tingling from time to time. She also gets short of breath pretty often. Without any insurance, where do we turn from here? I wake up coughing my head off, stuffed up nose, and my ears are closed up. It is worse in the morning and night. I have read that the coughing won't hurt the baby. For more than 30 years, Doctors have commented on how much my sinus drains. My hubby and I were at a restaurant over 25 years ago and they were cleaning their A/C ducts. My eyes stung, my throat burned and I started a small "tickle cough". My husband (then didn't understand allergies) said I'd get used to it as we'd already ordered! Other's were coughing too. No one I ask will tell me what they USED to use for cleaning of air duct work in A/C ducts (commerical ).

Since about the second or third week post quitting I started coughing up this weird white/gray phlegm that has a terrible, bitter acrid taste that coats my mouth and back of my throat almost like an oil. Similar to bronchitis sputum but not green or yellow. There's no tar in it, no black bits, and it's always a small amount but it's once a day, every day. Usually after I eat. I hate it, it's disgusting and I'm not sure why it's still coming up! Anyone else?
