I'm normally a healthy 22 year old woman with no long or short term illnesses or diseases. I maybe a little over weight, but nothing too significant.
But for the last 3-4 days I have had this constant cough where I can't stop and eventually end up vomiting. Earlier this week I had the flu and thought I was developing strep throat. Went to the doctors and did a test and it was negative and they told me it was a 'viral strep.

I have been coughing since September. I caught a bad flu and after that I can't stop coughing. I also went to Asia for the first time in October and with the recent typhoons there, could I have made it worse. I used Biaxin (anti-biotics), started with Symbicort (puffer), then on Alvesco and now I am on Nasacort, Advair and Aerius. Is this a post virus cough, asthma or something else...your thoughts?
Three years ago I was diagnosed with LPR after coughing for a year. I am coughing again now since before Christmas, so had another endoscopy. The biopsies showed that my esophagus is lined with eosinophils. The doctor didn't think it was eosinophilic esophagitis because my main symptom is coughing. I have had choking issues but it is not a constant thing. I have had eosinophilc pneumonia and also am hypothyroid and have interstitial cystitis.
So.. I've been dealing with some other health issues, cysts in my thyroid gland, myoclonic jerks and twitching (the latter might just be BFS).
But I've noticed over the past couple of months that I've been coughing a lot. I didn't feel sick at first. Then om holiday, I felt really bad, with vomitting and so on, and coughed frequently. I got better, didn't went away completely, then came back a few weeks ago. Got better, now beginning to worsen again.
It's been at least a month that I started coughing a few times per hour.
m suffering from HIV anxiety even though I had a protected exposure with little to no risk after reading symptoms I started feeling a tickle in my throat and was coughing.....seems now I am coughing for no reason throughout the day and ending up with a sore throat.
I wake up in the morning and my throat is fine....but soon after I think about coughing.....I do and continue to do so through the day and then AGAIN I have a sore throat at the end of the day.

I am suffering from a slight fever, but my coughing is worse than ever. How do I figure out if it is the cough which accompanies any other fever or whether something more on the lines of bronchitis? I ask because I smoke close to a pack a day (not sure if that is relevant though).
I have been getting sick many times with cold and flu, I have low energy and feel weak daily, I have a stuffy/runny nose daily and sore throat and coughing daily too and just overall not a 100%. I have seen many doctors and done many tests but nothing ... and here is what has changed in last 10 months:
I have lost 20 pounds although I was dieting and working out more. Doctors found out (after many blood tests) that I am very low in Vitamin D. I have never eaten vegetables in my life.
See if you can find a dr or dr's association that handles rare diseases, or infectious diseases. When you call to make you appointment tell them the problem. If they don't handlel it they can refer you to the right dr. RJ

I am having a very difficult time finding out if my breathing problems are asthma or something else. I was first diagnosed with asthma when I was around 3 years old and had on and off symptoms my whole life, sometimes disappearing for years. My grandma also had asthma.
Problems came back a few years ago when I was around 22. I get this feeling that I cant breathe all the way in and that I will suffocate. I yawn a lot to try to get air in and feel breathless.
Breathless and coughing symptoms can be due to your nodular problems or other airway diseases...
I have been gasping for air choking coughing clearing throat it gets worse when its cold out doctor gave me amoxocillian but taking it a week not helping I Googled it asthma but I don't know
If I'm coughing, then I can't feel my heart doing its thing. If I rock in a rocking chair, my heart will start dancing a bit. It just feels out of sync. If I'm sick, my heart will act up more. Maybe that's what's causing yours to misbehave.

i recently have found myself not able to really draw a full breath, even when sighing and yawning, some coughing fits as well. i had a pulminary function test done, and the results showed that my lung capacity is actually higher than normal for someone of my height / weight / age. but my oximetry test showed only 72% of the blood oxygen when it should be at least 90%? how is this possible and what does it mean?
Until then try to giving some rest to the neck (?!), and hold your head with both your hands while coughing or sneezing so that it doesn't 'shake-up' your neck.

I had weakness from vitamin D deficiency. My level was 30 nmol/L which is 12ng/mL in your lab measurement. But weakness was the least of my problems. My immune system was toast! I had a cold, flu, severe strep throat for a month then another two week bout of strep followed by 3 weeks of bronchitis and coughing up blood. Vitamin D isn't called the antibiotic vitamin for nothing!
I improved as vitamin D levels went up.
