2028721 tn?1356682003 Regarding the fat content frozen yogurt has only four percent fat when made from whole milk and no fat at all when it is made from skim milk. It is very rich in probiotics which help in digestion. It contains good amount of carbohydrates and an 8 ounce serving usually offers more carbs compared to a large banana or small box of raisins. It definitely is more lighter and healthier compared to a high calorie dessert like ice cream. Do write to us again. Best wishes!
Avatar f tn Ugh (covers face) Today I was craving some raisins and yogurt and did the same and poured yogurt and raisins together. The raisins were half done and I noticed lots of tiny white worms and little black bugs flying. I also saw the worms and bugs in my yogurt, I guess these worms and bugs were at the bottom hiding under the raisins. Now that I think about it.
Avatar f tn Whole grain cereal Fruit and yogurt Whole grain toast with peanut butter, fruit Hard boiled egg As long as you stay with complex carbs, which are those in whole grains, veggies, fruits, such as apples pears, etc.you should be okay. The complex carbs are the ones that provide fiber to keep you feeling fuller longer. Also be sure to get plenty of protein with every meal. Eggs and whole grains are excellent sources of protein, as is dairy.
Avatar f tn I was trying to cut the carbs, because I doctor told me to give it a try and see if it helps (I suffer from multiple chronic conditions and a decent number of autoimmune and SIBO protocols are low carb). I added the carbs back in as soon as I realized the low carb diet was making me feel bad. I eat lots of rice, pasta, potatoes and lean meat. I also eat a moderate amount of fruit and veggies. I eat a healthy breakfast every single day (a large bowl of cereal and yogurt or eggs).
Avatar f tn m also having muscle aches in my thighs and arms at times. Could this be from the diet? Does potassium and magnesium help?

Avatar f tn Carrots/celery dipped sparingly in light sour cream (spiked with hot sauce), clementines, grapes, handful of almonds and/or raisins, baked corn chips served with copious amounts of salsa. Why does salsa come in little jars??? I need to start tinkering with making my own. (Tostitos baked "Scoops" chips are my fav because they hold lots of salsa!) What is your emotional go-to food? If I write them, I'll start craving them!
Avatar n tn Carbs raise BG so restricting carbs will help BG. when you say 6 units I assume you mean 6 exchanges which is 90 gr of carbs. If you take 250 mg at each meal that is 750 mg a day, the limit is 2400mg a day so you have room to go up on the Met. It can take 6 to 8 weeks for met to become fully effective.
Avatar f tn I was eating a box of yogurt covered raisins and I happened to look at one that had a maggot or white worm inside of it

Avatar n tn Nancy Muesli with plain yogurt, nuts, raisins, and fresh fruit in season. (I lived in Switzerland many years ago and muesli has been a favorite ever since.) Karen Organic quinoa made with coconut milk, honey, raisins, almonds, pecans, cinnamon, vanilla extract, dash of coconut oil and flakes. And a strawberry and blueberry smoothie.
Avatar m tn as such by themselves , grains should ideally be mainly oatmeal, little to no wheat and always in moderation. Veggies and salads themselves have slow carbs right in them. What matters is the slow offering of the enterically absorbed "nutrients" to the liver, that has to work them up as they come and therefore can be easily overwhelmed=damaged. if the offerings exceed the available capacity for "nonstressful processing".

Avatar m tn raisins, yogurt, cola, berries and others. One article even claimed that raisins were good because they naturally RAISE your stomach acid. That can't be right can it? Anyway, I have found many websites with brief lists of good and bad foods, but if anyone knows of a site with a comprehensive list that I can rely on I'd appreciate the tip. Thanks!
Avatar f tn I got some raisin bran, extra raisins, activia yogurt & prunes. After 5 prunes yesterday, a 1/3 bag of raisins, 2 activia yogurts, 2 large glasses of water & my fiancé rubbing the arches of my feet for 5 mins each (I read that it's connected to your Intestines & 5 mins each foot can make you poo) I finally was able to go without much effort and pain. Maybe try these things as well?
Avatar f tn Just had this issue. Load up on raisins. Any kind: chocolate covered, yogurt covered, plain, doesn't matter. They will really help! It's incredible the difference they make!
Avatar m tn Muscle is protein and protein molecules which travel solo in the body are subject to degradation by glucose molecules (from carbs/sugars) in a process called glycation-which later on down the road leads to inflammation. So less simple carbs/sugars and more quality proteins. The fruit smoothie is OK, but also adding a high quality protein drink later after workouts, will help. The peanut butter sandwich with oatmeal ( do you add milk to it?
Avatar f tn I agree w what jrluker said... You have to get moving. Walking is great!!!!! I walk when I can if it's warm enough (I can bundle up but I have a 18 month old baby, so I don't like taking her outside if it's cold). Or I workout w a home prenatal DVD. (I have 2 small children & the only way I can workout is getting up at 6am, before making breakfast, lunch for school, change the baby, get the kids to school, etc.
Avatar n tn I do cheese sticks.
Avatar f tn if you can stick to it for 3-7 days, you will feel a noticeable change in your body. If you have to have carbs, do the healthy kind, but really give it a try, just for a couple of weeks. It is a great jump start for any diet and you will feel your belly seem instantly less bloated and feel less hungry and munchy all of the time. Eat lots of fiber to stay full. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I've heard of them saying lose weight before trying to get pregnant or after but never during. Wow. New doctor! A healthy active lifestyle should keep you in the right parameters. Im overweight to start and have gained a bit more than recommended but nothing crazy. Super good, healthy snack... celery with peanut butter and raisins. You work off more calories eating celery than it contains.
Avatar f tn m 5 weeks 2 days and the gas pains and constipation are driving me crazy. At least one apple a day and some yogurt raisins help me. Maybe the cramps you're feeling are gas? Do you have a doctor appointment soon?
Avatar f tn Drink lots of water, not having enough can make it hard to go, try eating raisins, spicy foods, (sonic jalepeno cheeseburger always works for me lol) prunes(if you can stand them) prune juice or plum smart juice(I like that better), activia yogurt, you can buy flavorless fiber packages that u add to you drink because fiber helps you go, fiber cereals, peaches(works everytime for my 1 year old lol) and as a last resort you can take a laxative but it must be a non stimulant like milk of magnesia.
