I am in Western Michigan and there is really nothing here. I do have University of Michigan in Ann Arbor or Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Does anyone have any suggestions in Michigan or should I go to Mayo? I read that someone in Michigan went to someone in Grand Rapids and the doctor required the patient to commit to treatment with him before he would do a liver biospy....thats not acceptable to me...what if you do not like this doctor or the staff?

It sounds like you have been through alot and that you are taking alot of medications. Hormones are a huge part in anxiety. I would get the worst of my anxiety the week before my period was due. 2 months ago I have been dignosed with policystic ovary syndrome. I was prescribed contraceptive pill as a treatment method but I am still experiencing a lot of discomfort and pain. All you can do is to mention they are doing a trial treatment at Henry Ford Hospital ( the one on Grand Blvd ) and the treatment is free--no cost to him at all. If he wants to enter, he must do it quickly for they will be starting in a few weeks. He can call the number I gave in the first post. Has he had a biopsy? Do you know what stage and grade he is? Some people choose to put off treatment depending upon the biopsy results.

I have received injections from the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. ve been diagnosed with small intestinal bacteria overgrowth after 8 years of chronic diarrhea and multiple tests. I went to University of Michigan Hospital where the doctors performed a Hydrogen Breath Test. It was positive. I just finished the Cipro and probiotic. My question is this, since small intestinal bacteria overgrowth can be caused by taking acid blocking medicine like Nexium or Prilosec, will the bacteria come back since I continue to take Prilosec for GERD?

Michigan has passed a law allowing MJ for medicinal use. My question is this: Nolos Guide to SSDI says not to admit smoking MJ for pain or they will deny you benefits. In Michigan you have to get a certificate from the state that says you need MJ for pain. So......will the feds take away your benefits? I think it is still a federal law that MJ is illegal in every aspect??? Including medicinal???
