2064671 tn?1335566453 I'm new here because I recently found out my vitamin D levels are low. The Dr. didn't tell me the number but I'm on 50,000 IU once a week. I'm only into my 3rd week on this but I have finally had a few nights where I can actually sleep more than 4 hours. My symptoms pretty much match most of what I have seen here. Is there anything else I can do as far as diet or other meds to cope with these miserable symptoms?
Avatar m tn So I took the vitamins for months and it eventually went away but I comple stopped the vitamin, but the pain, weakness and tingling did not. Anxiety brings on do much physical symptoms it's overwhelming and puzzling at times. I think you will get better. Just try not topanic.

Avatar n tn In the end, all the doctors more or less gave up. I read on Medhelp how some people were getting some relief with a special B12 supplement so I got some (Enzymatic Therapy B12 Infusion). I guess the major difference with this stuff is that it comes in methylcobalamin form. Anyway, my Dad did two things: first he started taking the 1mg B12 once a day, and second, based on a doctor's advice, he increased his 0.5 mg Lorazepam (for anxiety) from once a day (before bed) to 3 times a day.
Avatar n tn tyrosine is a great amino for this purpose/not to be taken with anxiety tho as u do feel the nrg at the dose recommended in the thomas recipe/check the health pages/great article on the receptor sites and dopamine we do build extra receptor sites when we bombard our brain with pills///the brain is not equiped to handle the overload ..so extra receptor sites are formed/again/again, the brain is a very finely tuned organ that will adjust when it senses the need to do so...
1244180 tn?1325902711 Tachycardia is often times caused by anxiety. What you describe sounds to me like a panic attack. Anxiety can be caused by hormones after birth. It can also be caused by a few health conditions such as thyroid problems. I would talk to your dr. You can always call and make a "yearly check up" and bring it up then. Or you could talk to your OB about it.

Avatar n tn Since then I have been in a world of anxiety. I'm a runner, but during times of anxiety it is tough for me to run. I recently noticed the last few times I ran, I felt the flutters and pauses during my cool down. Not so much while running, but during my cool down. Never before have I felt these during exercise only at rest. My first question is does this sound like anything serious or is it benign.
398624 tn?1266273049 Can symptoms of anxiety last 24/7? The only relief I get is taking 1 xanax a day, but as soon as the xanax starts to wear off, I feel the symptoms come right back. Can anxiety get that bad?
Avatar f tn The anxiety and panic thing including palpitations happens to me when my vitamin D dose is too high. I just played with the dose...I found I had to increase very gradually to therapeutic levels which, of course, slowed my recovery down.
Avatar f tn I started to get anxious and going into panic attacks because I couldn't feel a full relief of fresh air. This anxiety has led to mild depression. Doctor told me all my symptoms came from "anxiety" and "stress"!!!!!! I was not happy with my diagnosis. I was very happy, I still am despite of fighting what I'm feeling mentally and emotionally. I know I am so blessed and have a very blessed life with my husband and our daughters. Life and the people around me are amazing.
Avatar n tn My obbession with my face is ruining it, I try to strip the dry skin off and end up with skin tears that hurt and leave marks. I also drink lots of water, take omega 3 fish oil, vitamin A fish liver oil, and steam my face once a week. When I do not have these large inflammed acne, I have whiteheads trapped under my skin.
Avatar f tn I stayed up for 7 days straight and it was the worst. RLS, nausea, headache, joint pain, fatigue and anxiety are all going to be present. some OTC drugs witll help but do not take too much! You can OD on Acetominiphen if you take too much. Also some OTC mixing will make your headache or RLS worse. Hot baths and fruit smoothies are a godsend. You will not want to eat - your sense of taste will be hightened and will bother you. But you need vitamin replenishment.
Avatar f tn And whichever disease I would look on internet I had majority of associated symptoms. This was due to severe anxiety caused by low vitamin d. A vitamin d level that low contribute to calcium deficiency which can host range of other symptoms e.g tingling and numbness, bad breath, weak bones, difficulty getting up, osteomalacia, abnormal hearth rhythm etc. Doctors said it was all in my head. They don't know about what severe deficiency could do.
1225178 tn?1318984204 This test quantifies the sum of vitamin D3, 25-hydroxy, and vitamin D2, 25-hydroxy. The reference range given in this result was 30-80 ng/mL.
1216899 tn?1288573925 I seem to be having sever mood swings, especially towards anxiety.. I get random anxiety attacks and my Vitamin D level was 20, now it is around 30 but I still suffer from anxiety attacks.. However, I have noticed that the severity has reduced by 10-15% and have slightly more control over them.... So just wanted to know how long did it take for anxiety symptoms to resolve?
Avatar n tn I have been taking 50,000 units of vitamin D for 7 weeks and there has been no relief what so ever. I was referred to a pain specialist by my PMD and he asked me Thursday if I was just depresed and if I thought I should "see some one for it" I was very upset because he wouldn't listen to me (for the second appointment that I have had with him) and started to cry (I NEVER cry, let alone in front of anyone).
Avatar m tn these have really taken ahold of me. I find I am always fidgeting or moving my body. I am just so uncomfortable I need to be constantly moving.  -pain in hip and butt when sitting or laying down for too long. Like there is no more muscular padding on either side.  Sleep disorders:  -I have extremely bad insomnia. I wake up every 2-3 hours. I was prescribed ambien and have taken it with no success. I also take melatonin, other sleep aids and none help.
Avatar f tn I went back to the psychiatrist and showed him the results and asked me to stop all anti-anxiety and anti-depressants and start having Vitamin D supplement (10,000 UI D3 per day for a month, followed by 5,000 UI D3 FOREVER). The first week I felt 20% better, but I feel the fatigue and pain in my muscles, and sometime I feel down for no reason.
Avatar m tn Sometime mid July I started to take 10,000 IU of D3, 500mg of vitamin c, vitamin b6 (forgot the dose), 400mg of magnesium as magnesium oxide, and an omega 3 pill. I take all these daily. I have noticed a very slight change, but I still feel terrible. I am foggy all the time, I get lightheaded, tired, I have higher blood pressure, sometimes my joints ache, my memory has gotten sort of bad, and in general I just feel like I am out of touch with reality.
Avatar n tn Oxycotin is supposed to be used in cases where the patient needs to take it for long term use, it is not recommended for post-op pain relief, despite this many doctors still do perscribe it for pos-op pain relief. If your brother tells the doctor that the percocet is not lasting the full four hours maybe he will either switch him over or tell him to take the percocet every 3 hours instead, after my first surgery i was taking percocet 2 tabs every 3 hours for months.

Avatar m tn Hi everyone.....what is best herbal medicine for anxiety....please only advise if you have used it....
Avatar m tn It is not as if I can't breath and am gasping and panting, just the sensation that I need to breath deep to relax or something, but I'm not getting the relief. Is it anxiety due to a new "fear of sleep", effect of being off the temazepam/the meds in general, or something more possibly?
