Avatar m tn Tomorrow I think I will call her to see if anti-anxiety meds could help. Is it normal for anxiety attacks to continue on this long? It's been a week now and each day seems to get only worse!
675347 tn?1365464245 The vet recommended Paracetamol, as it doesn't interfere with blood clotting, as other pain relief for dogs can. He gave me some tablets. They are big and have "square" edges. Normally Misty is easy to give a tablet to. I wrap it in a piece of brown bread, potato or cheese, throw it at her and it goes right down without touching the sides! Right now she is eating ok again, but delicately, chewing her food (for once!
369472 tn?1198749292 There is nothing you could have done to treat the problem. Kidneys just don't heal once they've been damaged. I know dialysis is possible for dogs, but it's such a hardship on them. Same with transplants. I doubt it helps, but I absolutely agree with your decision to do your dog the great favor of easing her out of her misery. Since she was so young, I wonder if there was an underlying genetic issue that resulted in bad kidneys.
Avatar m tn But I'm sure others will tell you they do. Driving around, or doing anything for that matter gives me relief for the most part. When I was younger I use to take long drives to think and reflect, so it is only natural for that to be helpful to me now. (as long as it doesn't involve being stuck in traffic, cause thats a whole other story) And yes my anxiety in the beginning seemed to not be as bad at night. Now however, its just the opposite.

Avatar f tn Hello, I have this problem too and was puzzled about the anxiety reality, its not so much anxiety as it is a for of OCD. We have become aware of our breathing and thinking about it put it into all kinds of odd patterns. Harmless but miserable to say the least. It took six months for me to come to the grip that this is not medical but something in my " head" The good thing is, I can make it go away, and IT WILL GO AWAY.
Avatar f tn So, three weeks ago I did and they put me on Lexapro 10mg for anxiety and Protonix 40mg for stomach problems that go with my anxiety. So, now I feel better but I wonder if I could avoid all this by stopping the birth control pill. What other options are there for a 20 that doesn't want to have kids for at least 5-8 years?
748543 tn?1463449675 For the past few weeks I have been throwing around ideas as to the best way to respond to this matter. You see a recent article ( Feb.3 , 2009 NY times) titled "Best treatment for TMJ May be Nothing" nearly made me clench my jaw to pieces. While well written, I found that the author, Ms. Brody, relied heavily on out dated and narrow perspective supplied to her by a small group of dentists.
Avatar n tn Estrace, Tri-Est, Bi-Est) has the negative effect of increasing blood clots because it is not natural for estrogen to enter the bloodstream through the stomach. Pill estrogen, even if it is bio-identical, goes from the stomach to the liver and stimulates it to make clotting factors" I will check Uzzi's book tonight. I have been falling asleep after reading only one page...not that this is not interesting stuff, just that I am going to bed way toooo late:) Things will get better.

But they drink and smoke weed a lot too. They do have the side effect, like vomiting, and nautious, etc.. like the side effect says for Xanax. But does this happen for all people? I have bought Zanax Illegally before just to try them, and I had 10 blue .
Avatar f tn After a second colonoscopy under anesthesia I was told I had IBS and sent home with pills that didn't work! It wasn't until I asked for a copy of the procedure report that I saw the term "redundant colon." I have been able to find little information about this diagnosis. What treatment options are there? Is surgery an option and, if so, what is the longterm outcome?

Avatar m tn One person in particular, not in this group, advised people to use Frontline-Plus (That's a tick and flea product for dogs) on themselves to cure Lyme. He and his mother drank it and other 'naive' people were asking how much to drink or to rub on their own bodies!' He presented all the half-truths available from toxicology sites, pubmed etc about using it. Fipronil was the compound he talked about the most.

585414 tn?1288944902 Today the TTY arrived and I'm hooking it up. That's a relief. Now I will be able to communicate with everyone I know. I am back in touch with the world. But when you have a psychiatric disability you aren't always in touch with yourself. And you may not know what's going on. Writing is a good tool to understand that. Poetry is one form.

1462810 tn?1327364049 I'm looking at having to find homes for my dogs because I'm not sure it's in their best interests to remain with me. Well, I just had a good dose of stress and came away from it trembling, with my heart in my throat, and ready to throw up. The stomach is no doubt influenced by this stomach bug I'm still fighting. But the trembling and constricted throat make no particular sense. The problem did not come as a surprise (someone pitched a fit over an issue that's been brewing).
544292 tn?1268886268 I have such respect for anyone who has come off Tramadol and .... I don't know ... maintained a life? Mud mud mud everywhere. Walking thru mud. I just took vitamins and a big cup of Lecithin granules which are supposed to decrease anxiety. I feel frightened and alone. These are DRUG THOUGHTS. But they get scary. It's like randomly losing your mind, and then suddenly; "POP" you are back to "normal.
563594 tn?1309586732 and they use echinacea as a natural remedy for colds and flu , it's called a natural antibiotic but they works different. echinacea instead of "killing" builds up the natural autoinmune system so in the long term is much better, but it's a remedy for the colds when you have them not for avoiding them and to take for months, ok?. but once the cold is out, echinacea still works for the next time cause it leaves you stronger and not weaker like the traditional chemical remdies...
