Anyone have idwas?
Avatar n tn Anxiety is the worst! Especially when you're pregnant.. I watch anxiety relaxation videos on youtube and they seem to help alot! Relaxation is the key to helping you feel better.. I know at times its so hard to, but the videos help.. I try to listen everytime my anxiety kicks in.. Hope they can get you some relief as well..
Avatar m tn Hi, I have been feeling a surge of anxiety/panic for the last few days. It is so bad that I shake almost constantly, can't sleep, and feel extremely cold. I virtually have no appetite. Also, I constantly feel like throwing up, I gag, but so far have not actually vomited. This type of episode happened about a month ago, but I thought it might have been a reaction to anti-biotics I was taking at the time.

Whenever I heard music while trying to sleep it was usually a hyper arousal reaction because I have had sleep based anxiety for years and usually require something such as klonopin to help me sleep.

RLS, nausea, headache, joint pain, fatigue and anxiety are all going to be present. some OTC drugs witll help but do not take too much! You can OD on Acetominiphen if you take too much. Also some OTC mixing will make your headache or RLS worse. Hot baths and fruit smoothies are a godsend. You will not want to eat - your sense of taste will be hightened and will bother you. But you need vitamin replenishment.
Avatar f tn My obsessions have stopped me from being able to listen to their music a lot of the time, or when I am with headphones especially it can get very hard, as I have to complete my ritual in my head before I can turn the music off, so all the while this music is playing I'm having a nervous breakdown with such a tense, anxious mind, just waiting for the relief when it feels right in my ritual so I can close down the song... half way through.

The same night I had a flash of light in my vision when all the lights in my room were off.  Sweating: 5 months ago I began to develop a profuse sweating problem seemingly out of the blue. I would drip sweat from under my arms. I remeb changing shirts 4-5 time a day.
Avatar f tn The good news is, there are a lot of treatments out there for anxiety...relief comes, it just takes time, work and patience on our part. There really isn't a "magical cure" per se, but learning how to cope is possible with therapy, and there are a lot of different meds that have helped countless people control their symptoms. You're stuck in the anxiety cycle, where your anxiety triggers scary thoughts and fears, which of course then triggers more anxious feelings.
Avatar m tn I think that when I first started taking it, it may have been 3 weeks to a month before it started working. It's a relief, and if I ever get out of the habit of taking the inositol, the repeated music/words come back (and the OCD behavior as well). I'm NOT a doctor. Honestly, I can deal with anxiety, lack if sleep and straight up pain but those other feelings make me absolutely miserable! I take clonidine but it doesn't help much. Any suggestions much appreciated...although i have a sneaking suspicion I just have to ride it out.

I took zoloft,serzone even tried prozac [talk about a kick in the head] took zanax for anxiety, stopped taking all of it 3 years ago mainly because I decided I wanted to be a big girl & face life without "buffers" The HepC diag [found out last month] was a definite "downer" and I would think make even a "happy" folk depressed, worried and scared to frickin death.

Feels like a dull, empty feeling. I always feel the need to cross my arms or put a pillow in my lap and lean on it while sitting down. It won't take the anxiety completely away, but a decent dose should keep most of it at bay. I would have a talk with your doc and see if it's an option for you. Sometimes just knowing you have them "on you" is relief enough a lot of times. Certainly telling the flight attendant would be fine if you feel it would be helpful. For ME personally...
Avatar m tn If the gas pill does not bring relief then I assume it is anxiety and take a very low dose Xanax. By the way, my anxiety has a physical cause (as do many cases of anxiety). For me it is high cortisol.
477959 tn?1208207605 I was in and out of the hospital, they couldnt find anything wrong so said it was most likely anxiety. So I have been on lexapro and xanax 0.5 mg for about 5 months now. It helped a little when the symptoms came, but now they dont help at all. I just was switched to Zoloft 50 mgs and am taking more xanax than prescribed because I am feeling worse and worse. Sometimes they help, sometimes they dont. I need help. I cant get in with a pysciatrist till june, and I am suffering everyday.
Avatar m tn anyway, all of my STI testing (HIV, Syphilis, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Hep, etc.) came back negative at 8 weeks (*sigh of relief*) i've not had any bumps/sores/lesions in the 3.5 months since then that would really indicate a genital herpes infection (i have battled HSV1/cold sores all my life), and tested Positive for HSV1 and Negative for HSV2 on Herpeselect IgG at 12 weeks.

The reason this works is because you're triggering your vagas nerve to reset your body functions such as heart rate and breathing telling your brain that the fight or flight mechanism is not needed. If you want to prevent these attacks and have been experiencing them for more than a month I would suggest you see a doctor or psychiatrist if you haven't already.
