Shoulder pain breast lump

Common Questions and Answers about Shoulder pain breast lump

on your shoulder would have anything to do with the lumps that you say have been found in your breast. I too believe it would be wise to see your Dr. about the pain and "blue spot" as well as for a Mammogram and/or Ultrasound to ck. on the breast lumps IF the latter has not already been done. It is always wise to inform your Dr. of any and all medications or suppliments that you are taking as this can be a factor in diagnosing a current problem. Regards ...
I recently found a lump about 2 months ago Ive been thru 2 periods with it. I did end up going to a breast surgeon he suggested waiting 3 more months to see if it will go away bc he believes it to be a clogged lobe/duct in the gland tissue(?), otherwise he will do a breast MRI. Can milk really linger that long in a lobe if I stopped awhile back? What can I do to make it go away?
I am 37 years old.I noticed a lump above my right breast just above the nipple. I rubbed it a bit hard and now my right side hurts when I move a certain way or try to lift something with the right arm. Also when I pull my head downward to the left I feel a pull and some pain near my right shoulder blade. Is this serious?
I have a lump in my left breast that is painful and is deep in my breast tissue, but the pain from the lump extends into my armpit, and sometimes into my left shoulder blade. I heard that if you find a lump that is painful it is not usually breast this truth or just a myth?
Tired of Docs looking at me like Im a nut case. Left shoulder pain, shoulder blade pian, down into left arm and elbow now too, and up into left side of neck and ear. Add to the mix, heart probs and when I say my left side hurts, they check my heart and say..nothing wrong there, and ignore the shoulder stuff.. MRI shows nothing, x-ray shows pain reliver helps somtimes...hurts every single day...som days so bad I dont want to move...any suggestions?
Shoulder pain and back pain is caused by multiple causes, and could be related to pain in the breast or chest radiating to the shoulder and back. Other conditions that cause shoulder and back pain is neck pain coming from the muscles, ligaments, or nerve compression. This is unlikely the cause in your wife's pain.
I had a benign breast lump removed when I was 19 , I am now 44.. I have always had a niggling pain where the scar tissue is , now the pain is intense and goes in my arm. I had a mammogram in 2006 , they said scar tissue . I went to the Dr last night who has referred me to a breast clinic. I just wonder if they will do a mammogram again, with the pain I have.. Or a scan. Could it be scar tissue ? The pain starts in the Scar in the morning, then spreads! ohh Lots of questions .. any ideas?
breast pain can have many causes. Fibrocystic Breast condition certainly is one of those. This condition is very common among women of any age. Caffeine can be a factor and it's not only in what you drink ... chocolate contains caffeine also. you might ck. on the internet for foods that contain caffeine. Since the films were all negative I'm not sure what the Surgeon can do but perhaps he may have some additional advice.
Hi. I'm 27 years old. I found a breast lump in early July and biopsy revealed a benign mass in early September. My mom died of breast cancer at 44. Since finding the lump, I've been suffering from some intermittent sharp pain in my right shoulder area. It started off dull and not very frequent. Now it's more frequent although I don't know that I can classify it as "severe". The painful areas hurt to touch.
Now, another small lump is felt next to it and the whole breast is painful including the nipple. The pain sometimes is like stabbing pain or burning pain. Each mass is about 1 cm and both are in the inner lower quadrant. My armpit and underarm fold is tender and there is pain above the collarbone, and left shoulder. There is also a swollen lymph node under my chin on the left side and I complain from shortness of breath lately.
So, they informed me that my breast is normal and it could be from drinking a lot of caffeine. Now, another small lump is felt next to it and the whole breast is painful. Each mass is about 1 cm. My underarm and underarm fold is tender and there is pain above the collarbone and left shoulder. There is also a swollen lymph node under my chin on the left side and I complain from shortness of breath lately.
I was never free of pain and after the surgery the pain started going down my right arm into my hand with numbness and tingling in all the fingers. Approx. one year later I developed a lump on the top of my shoulder, which to me looked as if it was in the center the clavical. An MRI was done which showed osteophyte formation at the acromioclavicular joint with degeneration. My doctor referred me to another orthopedic surgeon.

Two years ago, I had breast cancer and had my right breast removed and reconstructive surgery. I received no chemo or radiation. One year ago a discovered another lump on the side of my breast under my arm. I have had it looked at and they said, it was nothing. They did an ulta-sound but could not find it. Since then I have had pain in that area, the area where the lump is is tender to touch, and most recently the pain has increase and wrapped around to my back under my shoulder blade.
Hi i have the very same problem and also suffer with anxiety so i wonder if the two are linked as i have only had both problems a year and am generally much better but it seems if i have a bad day (not too many now) then the shoulder and breast pain come back, i get the pain in my breast first this really worries me and i get sore the next day under my arm and then the shoulder pain follow's, i think the key is try not to worry about it too much and see it as another anxiety symtom if all test's
didn't know I was pregnant...the pain was horrible but it only lasted a few days and I still have a lump on the end of my collar bone from it...still don't know if its pregnancy related...
June Of '06 I was diagnosed with Invasive Lobular Carcanoma (left breast), treated with radiation & lumpectomy. Tried taking Tamoxifen x3, unable to function w/side effects. I have since had right breast biopsy (benign) and also a pappaloma removed right side. I am now experiencing breast pain & swelling on the left side same area as lumpectomy, some shoulder and arm pain, nothing eliminates the discomfort (Tylenol / asprin).
I have the exact same thing, a lump under my left breast and when i bend it gets caught. My doctor told me that it was a benign fatty tumor called a lipoma. He told me not to worry about unless it was growing or became painful. It seems to be painful. sometimes the pain goes through my breast and out through my back. It also seems to cause discomfort in my diaphram area where my rib attach. I have had now xrays though but am going to ask for one.
I found a breast lump (semi squishy, size of grape, movable) in my right breast about a month ago. I have implants that have been in for 17 years (half silicone half saline) and I am 40. I also breastfeed my son who is 18 mths. I went to my doctor and he said it did not feel like any cancerous mass he has felt before, but made me appt for Mammogram (1st), U/S, CA125. The lump when pushed can be moved slightly. I also have slight pain in breast and underarm.
When I hear people talking about "pain in the breast" I feel I have to chime in and let people know that pain can very often be a sign of breast cancer. That may not always be the case, but I urge women not to let their Drs shoo them away saying "breast cancer does not hurt" I was diagnosed with BC last September on my 25th birthday!!!
Its always uncomfortable but at night its unbearable, i honestly cant sleep and get so annoyed with the pain, sometimes i want to just bang it against something in hope that i will get a pain else where to take my mind of the shoulder pain. I've been to see a physio again even though i dont think it helps much. She did some manipulation and tonight is some of the worst pain i've had in my entire life. People hve recommended accupuncture so i'll give that a try. I would try anything now!
I have two rather large lumps between my left breast and armpit. I have also been having pain in what seems like under my left shoulder blade. Also have pruning of left areiola and it looks darker than the right one. Any thoughts?
Does any one have pain in cycles such as two weeks you can stand the pain and start to feel a little better and then wham your down with pain worse then before. Not that the pain or the lump or the shoulder pain goes away it just with pain killers you can live with it? My next step is to go see a pain specialist who when I gave my sypmtoms to said over the phone that they didnt agree with the GP or the surgeron. Ok so that is my next step on the 24 of Nov ,09 .
