shoulder pain breast lump

I go back to the dr the 31st to meet with a breast surgeon to talk about a needle biopsy. I was just wondering if shooting pain is usually associated with breast cancer? Since I have found the lump I have been getting shooting, stinging pains from where my lump is over to my shoulder and sometimes down my arm. I am scared to death that's it's something serious.

I recently found a lump in my left breast. I had ultrsound that showed nothing, and went to see a surgeon that didn't want ot do a biopsy. THe surgeon just said it was fibrocystic breasts. I have a tenderness in the breast frequently ( surges of pain through out the day), as well as tightness in my shoulder and a burning feeling in my ribcage. Has the doctor taken the proper steps to ensure that this is fibrocystic breasts? If so, is the pain in the shoulder and ribcage normal?

Back in May 2012 I had an odd bout of pain, it was as if someone had beaten my upper back, I had pain that seemed to wrap around to the front causing what I would consider tightening in chest or sternum area, it lasted for 3 days,I did not go to Doctor or hospital, its a long story of husband out of town and daughter busy with two babies at home. Did not want to bother anyone. I did think I was having a heart attack, as I do have high cholesterol.

I went to the gyno for my yearly and asked her about it (casually, thinking it was nothing) and she said I have a very obvious lump in my left breast. She said it was a tumor, but might not be cancerous. She told me to get an ultrasound on it very soon to determine if it is just a fiberocous tumor or breast cancer. It could also be a cyst, and would need to get drained. Good luck hun!

Would breast cancer cause pain in the shoulder, armpit, ribs, back, arms, neck, jaw and sometimes the pain runs down the leg.

I had a benign breast lump removed when I was 19 , I am now 44.. I have always had a niggling pain where the scar tissue is , now the pain is intense and goes in my arm. I had a mammogram in 2006 , they said scar tissue . I went to the Dr last night who has referred me to a breast clinic. I just wonder if they will do a mammogram again, with the pain I have.. Or a scan. Could it be scar tissue ? The pain starts in the Scar in the morning, then spreads! ohh Lots of questions .. any ideas?

I found a breast lump (semi squishy, size of grape, movable) in my right breast about a month ago. I have implants that have been in for 17 years (half silicone half saline) and I am 40. I also breastfeed my son who is 18 mths. I went to my doctor and he said it did not feel like any cancerous mass he has felt before, but made me appt for Mammogram (1st), U/S, CA125. The lump when pushed can be moved slightly. I also have slight pain in breast and underarm.

several months ago I rolled over in the night and seemed to pull a muscle in my right back shoulder area,pain seemed similar to a crink in the neck. it was uncomfortable for some time. the discomfort seemed to travel and armpit area seemed to have a bulging area when I raised it, to touch was little to no tenderness. that has seemed to subside but I now can fell a lump in my breast and it has an odd sensitive feel. it is scary what do you think??

Normally its my stomach that plays up the most which also causes me shoulder pain but these lumps in breast and under my armpit are growing and causing me pain too i dont know if there all connected but in the last two weeks they have all come together and i am now suffering with a high temp and and a constant headache. Can anyone help?

Hi Lisa, From what you describe about the pain and with not feeling a lump in your breast,I don't think that this is a sign of breast cancer.The only thing that I can think of, is that maybe you might have pulled a muscle.Prior to this pain have you done some sort of exercise involving your arms?.Have you pulled,pushed or lifted something heavy?.If you haven't done any of these things,then you should consult with your family doctor to find out what's causing this pain.

I recently found a lump about 2 months ago Ive been thru 2 periods with it. I did end up going to a breast surgeon he suggested waiting 3 more months to see if it will go away bc he believes it to be a clogged lobe/duct in the gland tissue(?), otherwise he will do a breast MRI. Can milk really linger that long in a lobe if I stopped awhile back? What can I do to make it go away?

Hi I've had a constant dull pain in my shoulder blade and rib cage since last night and what has prompted me to post this question is that I had the pain a few days ago when the breast on the same side swelled up, developed lumps and was painful. Current situation: * I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis in January this year but hypothyroid in May last year. I take levothyroxine at 100mcg but I have read that Hashimoto's is associated with B cell lymphoma.

I will have a mamo done asap to determine my breast pain and under armpit pain, shoulder and arm pain after aspiration 3 months back.My rib cage under my left arm near my breast is painful. Its very scary.

Please could someone help me. A month ago I woke up feeling sore in my left side through from my jaw down to my chest just above the top of my breast. By the end of the day I was in huge amounts of pain and couldn't move. The pain then moved into the front of my left shoulder going over the chest area and under the armpit. It started to get better but then I got the same pain in the right shoulder which travelled down my arm.

One day in October however, not sure what triggered it, but I started getting a pain in that left shoulder, not severe, but it hurt if I lift my arm a little too high. So I started researching and researching, I came across symptoms of breast cancer (lump in armpit, painful joint if it has spread...etc. ).

Since she started pressing on it and moving it now my right breast is in pain. And the pain goes right to my shoulder. And it is like an achey burning pain. Almost like you pulled a muscle pain. Then Friday night when I took my bath I notice that breast is larger then the other. I am scared to death. The doctor said Wednesday it's almost like a cyct but would like to get a mammogram to make sure there is nothing behind it. I don't know but it hurts now.

First of all there is no blood test that will show the existance of cancer. Peeling isn't really a sign of breast cancer unless it were IBC which doesn't have the symptoms you describe (no lump). The nipple peeling may well be due to some of the breast feeding problems you had. A lump associated with breast cancer wouldn't come and go either. Keep that appointment but relax a little, OK ?? Please visit your GP to examine the area between your shoulder and elbow. He/she might refer you to a Breast Specialist who may be able to confirm if you have Mondor’s disease or not. If the Specialist confirms it, you won’t usually need treatment since the disease will get better by itself. You may need to take pain relief medication though and resting the arm to relieve the discomfort.

You seem to have quite a lot of information ..... I read your comment on another post recently. Dimpling can occur anywhere and as you stated above when fatty tissue is involved as it seems to be in your situation. Dimpling of the breast is usually caused by something deep in the tissue pulling inward and thus changing the look of the skin surface. You might consider seeing a different Breast Specialist if you don't have 100% confidence in you current Physicians. Regards .....

hi, I've noticed a lump on the clavicle bone near the shoulder. Back in 2004 I had a breast mass taken out the was dx with Florid intraductal hyperplasia, focal atypical ductal hyperplasia, proliferative apocrine metaplasia with cyst formation and focal microcalcifications. I am now 50, and do go for yearly checkups. I recently had a pap smear come back abnormal and was said to have HPV. I had to have some cells removed and now I have a pap smear every six month's.

t know I was pregnant...the pain was horrible but it only lasted a few days and I still have a lump on the end of my collar bone from it...still don't know if its pregnancy related...

It is true that breast cancer is not often associated with actual breast pain. 'Since the lump was determined to be benign it must have been either a cyst or a Fibroadenoma. Both of these are benign findings and do cause pain. Lymph nodes become enlarged for several reasons ... one is because of an infection somewhere in the body. If you are experiencing pain at other locations in your body I would suggest that you see your Dr. for an evaluation of this problem.

Hi, I am very worried about my chest, breast, and shoulder pain on the right side. I have a dull pain with heat from my breast chest and back of my shoulder straight across from my breast to back. It gets worst and then it gets better. Above my collarbone is very sensitive. When I massage it the dull uncomfortable pain gets better. I also have a lump on my neck that connects to the spot above the collarbone. I have gone to the Dr.s but she said I have fibrosis. Something about muscles.

I started to feel pain at my left breast 2 months ago,and a month later,the pain radiated to my underarm,shoulder and arm. Sometimes,i felt my underarm swelling but no lump or any mass palpable. My left breast felt heavy but also i can't palpate any mass or lump,no skin changed or any nipple discharge other then a breastmilk.
