Are liquid vitamins more absorbable

Common Questions and Answers about Are liquid vitamins more absorbable

vitamin

Avatar f tn Some of the lesser-grade vitamins are very poorly absorbed. The best type of multivitamin is a LIQUID SOFTGEL. I use "Nature Made" Brand Multivitamin "for her" (Women) which is a liquid-filled softgel; this is one of the best vitamins you can take. Usually a liquid-softgel will be better absorbed by your body than a tablet. For NATURAL stress relief you will find both Calcium and Magnesium to be very beneficial.

There are also fillers and binders in tablets that bother many people; try capsules instead, and make sure you buy them in a good health food store, not a drug store, and not store brands or discount vitamins -- these tend to use the worst fillers and binders and the least absorbable forms of minerals.
20563103 tn?1500787105 The Myer's Cocktail is only one of a variety of these things people are selling out there. This particular one is a select number of common vitamins that help people who aren't digesting their food well enough. But you say you're already on an IV? Because this cocktail isn't self-administered, it's given in a clinic where they hopefully know how to do a slow-drip and how to put in an IV properly so you don't get an infection.
Avatar n tn The ones I take are six a day, but I take four, so you can tailor them to your needs, but the best vitamins are expensive no matter who makes them. Cheap vitamins are cheap for a reason, which is the use of preservatives and forms of nutrients that aren't very well absorbed.
1288945 tn?1271972452 I don't take liquid vitamins but I still use chewables. The BEST ones I have found for me are the "Children's GUMMY multivitamin". They're called up&up (I bought them at Target). 4-6 a day and it figures out to the daiy requirements for adults. I tolerate the sugar content in them (2 gms for 2 gummy bears) and I had my surgery 9 months ago. I've been taking them for the past 6 months at least.
Avatar f tn They are ranked very high with prenatals and have dha and omega-3.
1032715 tn?1315984234 I don't know what you're trying to accomplish, but I wouldn't recommend it. Panax ginseng, if there's any really in it -- most supplements claiming to have ginseng in them don't -- is generally used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for men. It's considered too yang for women. You would only want to take it if you were suffering from an overly yin condition.
1154561 tn?1275254669 Another product recently recommended by naturopath to me is Liquid Life. Check it out too, has lots of amino acids, vitamins, ect in it. I like it to use in place of a multivitamin. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I want to switch my prenatal vitamins and was wondering does it matter if they both have the same vitamins in them
Avatar n tn I feel like my vitamins and prenatals are making me nauseous and have headaches. All i wana do is sleep to forget. Dr gave me calcium 2 a day, ferrous sulfate for iron deficiency 3 a day, laxative pill, folic acid 3 a day, fish oil pills 3 a day... isnt too much iron bad for you? And i thought this was soo much. Iam 8 wks pregnant not knowing what to expect (my first child) iam 31yrs old. Omg my breasts are so tender and i have implants too. They feel so hard. Does anyone have this problem?
Avatar f tn Protein---while having an attack, I would juice up/purify tuna, eggs, chicken, beef (not fatty) with V8, milk, or any liquid I could tolerate so I could get it into my system as a liquid protein. This is if I couldn't eat solids. Omega-3 Fish oils---I take 2,000 a day. I know they are oily and you may not be able to take them during an attack, but try to experiment with them as they are SO beneficial to getting the nerves and muscles working.
Avatar f tn -) very gentle on tummy bc they are liquid gels and my pb was very happy and impressed with my choice on those she said they are a great brand :-)
Avatar f tn Which brand of vitamins do you buy and are your vitamins made in China ?? SHIJIAZHUANG, China -- If you pop a vitamin C tablet into your mouth, it's a good bet it came from China. Indeed, many of the world's vitamins are now made in China. "In less than a decade, China has captured 90 percent of the U.S. market for vitamin C, driving almost everyone else out of business." link to article: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2003732744_vitamins03.

Avatar f tn Ive found through research and my dr. That they are more or less all very similar! The no name generic brand is just fine! (in Canada anyways!
Avatar f tn What other supplements/vitamins are you ladies taking or suggest to take besides prenatals? !
Avatar m tn I take a multi-vitamin with minerals - I prefer liquid gels or a full liquid vitamin. Heat processed vitamins are not absorbed into the body correctly. I found a multi-vitamin at Walmart that are liquid gels and they work so much better. I also take a B-12 super complex which helps with energy. I also take every morning a Chromium Picolinate which also helps me with energy. It has made a huge difference in how I feel.
Avatar n tn Well, I should say, unless you use liquid vitamins, but they are seldom all that complete and once in liquid form they are much more prone to rapid oxidation and deterioration, so I personally don't use them.
Avatar f tn Or try nature made liquid gels they are great I love them. I a day no chewing they are liquid gels so much easier on tummy and easier to digest.
599170 tn?1300973893 Not all vitamins are created equal. Some of them are no good... Make sure to see if they are pharmacy grade if you want to get the most out of them. I saw a video once, but I don't remember the url. They tested them by putting a pill in a cup of vineagar for about 15-30min. If the pill didn't disolve in that time frame, then it was no good because the body can't absorb the pill. That said, I haven't been taking vitamins. It seems I feel no different either way.
Avatar f tn They come in a powder and you mix it with water, so they are easy to take, if you are feeling nauseous. Those are my favorite, but I've only tried those and the gummies.
Avatar f tn Hey ladies just a small question! So the prenatal vitamins I am currently taken prescribed by my doctor are absolutely awful! I cannot take them without gaging and throwing up. I feel sick about an hour later and it lasts throughout the whole day. I've been doing research about different vitamins I could take and I found the most best one seems to be belly bar which is a chewable prenatal vitamin. But I was wondering if anyone takes other vitamins that isn't a huge horse pill?
Avatar f tn s a liquid vitamin that has everything you need and more. The most important thing, is that your body will absorb 99% to 100% of it, where your body can only absorb roughly 35% of any pill. This way baby gets ALL the goods! Most doctors now highly recommend fish oil for baby's brain development. Kyäni Sunset! I took both of those products with my one year old and am still taking them. And I'm expecting my third!
4274823 tn?1388529098 Has anyone read or been told to avoid consuming dairy because of the calcium while on a liquid iron supplement? Or is this more crucial if one is taking another form of iron? There is no statement on the bottle or box, yet I have seen sources online that recommend this.
