I hope that you continue to try the no-medication route. Being placed on prescription stimulants for ADHD at 6 years old and being on them for years has left me with disabling, treatment-resistant depression. I believe from my years of posting on the ADHD forum, that the single most important thing that you can do is to become an expert in ADHD because you are going to probably become the single most important change agent in his life (outside of meds). You will become his advocate in school.
Frankly, if she has anxiety, I would try and deal with the cause which is probably ADHD. The best way to deal with ADHD is to really understand it. One book I have been recommending to do so is the, "ADD / ADHD Answer Book by Susan Ashley.
Not sure where you are getting your information for meds, but if you haven't done so, I would look into a pediatric psychiatrist who specializes in ADHD.
I want to switch my prenatal vitamins and was wondering does it matter if they both have the same vitamins in them
I feel like my vitamins and prenatals are making me nauseous and have headaches. All i wana do is sleep to forget. Dr gave me calcium 2 a day, ferrous sulfate for iron deficiency 3 a day,laxative pill, folic acid 3 a day, fish oil pills 3 a day... isnt too much iron bad for you? And i thought this was soo much. Iam 8 wks pregnant not knowing what to expect (my first child) iam 31yrs old. Omg my breasts are so tender and i have implants too. They feel so hard. Does anyone have this problem?

I tried to get him tested when he first started acting out at the age of 5 or 6 but I was told to young then when he turned 7 I git him tested again for add/ADHD few months ago and he has ADHD he was prescribed medication and to see a behavioral counselor but that didn't go anywhere and he doesn't take the med. I tried pushing talking I don't believe in beating but I've tried it.

Vitamins like Omega 3, I take the chewable ones from Costco. Or liquid vitamins that you can mix with juice? Look into the gluten/wheat/yeast free diets as well. Even if your child has no allergic reactions when tested, I have found such a huge relief from brain fog and constant chattering when on a this type of diet.
I have not gained back the weight after going off of Adderall, or Ritalin, but then again, I get to eat more when I eat healthy. So I'm never "hungry".

But no those vitamins will not supply u and your growing baby with the nutrients an vitamins it needs kids vitamins have the vitamin potency for a child's body not a woman an a developing baby ...folic acid ,iron ,an vitamin d are just a few of the vitamins your going to need while pregnant ...look for a chewable pre natal they aren't too expensive an u get 90 days worth also ...have u tried taking a prenatal at night ??
m of the opinion (based on the literature about how health care providers make errors) that diagnosing a person with a neurological disorder like ADHD should be done with both a thorough diagnostic interview and some objective data collection. The symptoms of ADHD can occur for many reasons, and ADHD in adults is highly likely to co-occur with anxiety and depression.
