zantac for itching

Itching on arms and legs only, no rash. Occurs about every 6-7 days for the past month. Take Benedryl, Zertec, and Zantac at one time. Takes 6-24 hours for itch to stop. I assume it is something that I eat. Suppose I need to get Dr. to run test?

but im thinking of trying zantac for her the least doisage possible just to cjeck if it will reduce the spitting and the crankiness after feeds, but i also don't want her tummy to get used to it since my self i have been on omeprazole for years and can't live without it.. it's only during my pregnancy that I have changed to zantac and in severe cases pariet or lanzor.

Has anyone taken zantac during pregnancy for heartburn? I'm 22+5 and have heartburn almost every other day. Sometimes it's so bad that I just want to sleep so i don't feel it.

I have had a problem with hives since august of '07. i get them from head to toe and i have them just about 24/7. i have been on many combinations of med's like Doxepin, Allegra, Zantac, Hydroxyz and a few others i cant think of. the hives start out as little red marks but then get larger and turn to welts. Also sometimes my face will start to get the welts then my face will swell like someone with seafood allergies. sometimes they get so pig they cover my whole leg or arm.

Has anyone ever taken Zantac? My doctor told me to take that everyday instead of taking tums b/c they are pointless, but I kinda don't wanna take medicine.

My doctor is telling me to give my 7 year old Zantac for a kidney infection, but I can't find any information on whether or not this is a proper treatment- I just want to be sure??

I ran out of the 75 mg of zantac but I have equate 150 mg its the same thing as zantac but just the.generic brand. Is it ok to take that?

I have had itching issues for years and just mentioned it to my PCP a few weeks ago. For me the worst part of the itching is on my arms and I will end up scratching until there is blood. My PCP suggested using some lotion on my arms. I don't yet know if this will work or not as the itching has subsided for the time being. But it does kind of make sense since it will change the sensations on my arms.

I dont just have itching on my stomach or boobs. No. Its from my boobs, to my feet, any seggestions.?!

started taking zyrtec, seemed to help a little but starts up again so i also started taking zantac along with the zyrtec. i am still getting some hives and itching but now for about the past 3-4 wks now i'm also getting nausea, please help!

I am on 5mg Reglan 2-3 times daily for gastroparesis. Also, Nexium 40mg and zantac 150 mg. Is there any concern of being on any of these drugs long term?

I'm doing better I did revisit my doctor he gave me Zantac which has helped alot. I'm having alot less itching and breakouts and we both think stress has been the cause. Thank for responding to my concern it is always nice to get some helpful information.

As for anxiety there isn't much to take, maybe Atarax 25 mg. it's for itching but also used for anxiety. Benadryl is good too, makes you sleepy.

Hi guinessthepitbull, I too am on Methimazole. I had Itching for years and all the things that go along with thyroid disease. I found that certain foods trigger the itching for me or at least make it worse. How much Methimezole are you on ? I drastically changed my diet and stopped eating all fast food, no processed foods, no carbonated drinks and most importantly I cut way back on caffeine. If I drink a lot of caffeine, like 2 energy drinks within 2 hours or lots of coffee.

My daughter kept aspirating so they had to thickenher milk by adding rice cereal to her formula and also giving her zantac. Zantac works well for acid reflux she's able to eat without spitting up. Everything will be fine .

I have one question abt Zantac. Before going to bed...if can i take zantac,is it helpful to get hours sleep. Please help me....Now i am 9 weeks...next week i want to fly around 7 hrs...i am so worried abt that also....

Yeah its not pleasant at all when you first take it but I'm 39 weeks and having my baby in a couple days so I'm not going to buy any more meds for that! I used to take zantac 150mg and it works wonders if you'd like to try that!

I HAVE TO TAKE ALLEGRA IN AM ZYRTREC IN AFTERNOON AND AN ITCHING RX ALONG WITH STEROIDS, IF I MISS A DOSE ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY APPEAR, CHECK WITH AN ALLERGY SPECIALIST

I've had itching from the chest up including neck, shoulders, face, scalp for 10 years now. I've had biopsies that show urticaria and have tried every medication known to man. I've also had ANA and thyroid tests which were all negative. Has anyone ever been completely cured from this horrible itching??? I'm at my wit's end here!

I'm currently taking zantac 150 twice a day and I'm still miserable from acid reflux. So much it causes me to throw up. I have a drs appt coming up what are some medications other moms are on that prescribed to you by your Dr. I need something stronger so I would like to have some ideas before my appt so I can talk to my Dr with. I have unexplained itching all over my body when the temperature outside drops below 60-55 degrees. I have had this since the fall of 2012. It is exhausting. The itching usually starts in my legs and progresses towards my head. My head and hands are usually unaffected. It is worsened by showing. I breakout in a red splotchy rash (not hives) from my feet to my face when I shower during the fall/winter. It again, usually starts in my legs.
