October 15 - Started YAZ, also my first day of period (4 days light period only) November 10 - Period came November 11 - Last day of YAZ (first pack) November 12 - First pill of second pack of YAZ very heavy bleeding November 13 VERY HEAVY BLEEDING November 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 Regular bleeding Nov19- 27 light bleeding Nov 28 bleeding gone I went to my OB November 24 and advised me to take my remaining YAZ 3x a day.

Manipulating hormones can cause those hormonal side effects like breast tenderness. How long did you have that with YAZ. Sometimes you have that for a while early on and it then goes away as your body gets used to the medication. You can always try the other one to see if it is better, but again, breast tenderness is sort of common when our hormones are fluctuating (why we get it before a period, when pregnant and when we have hormonal changes). I stopped the Depo shot 2 months ago, and immediately started Yaz, I got my period back at the end of my first pack of Yaz so about 1 1/2 months. How long does it take for Depo to completely leave your system, and if it's still in my system will it actually help protect me from pregnancy along with Yaz?

You could also talk to you doctor about switching to Yaz.. When I took Yaz I never had a period.. my doctor said this was fine.. that in ppl yaz will either shorten your period to a day/two.. or take it away completely. .. .. your doctor would know best!

I had been taking yaz for about two years up until recently. I am a freshman in college, and as soon as I came to college I started having these exact same symptoms that you have described. I am absolutely miserable. I have no idea what it could be. I didn't even think that it could be Yaz since I have been on it for so long...However, I stopped taking it about a week and a half ago and I am just waiting and praying that I will see results... The migraine and headaches were what led me to go off of Yaz. I had a period 3 days after going off Yaz, but nothing since (and that was over a month ago). Since going off Yaz, I have had nipple soreness and a return of libido. I have not noticed any weight gain. I also returned to 0-1 times getting up to urinate each night. When I went for my gyno yearly on Tuesday I asked for birth control pills. She put me on Yaz. She said that I had some blood in my urine and was my period close, I told her yes, it was supposed to be in a few days. Well she said that since I was already spotting some to go ahead and take the Yaz that night. I was happy to find a birth control pill that would help with depression during my period. However, I notice after talking yaz that I felt more depressed and had more anxiety then before. I had extreme mood swings and crying spells while taking yaz. I stopped yaz for a month then started it again. I also had the same symptom after starting yaz again. My doctor change my birth control bill back to Ortho Tri- Cycle Lo this month.

Ok so I have been on yaz for 4 or 5 months. Last month I got my period but it was pretty light and ended soon, which I thought was normal for yaz. I had sex the night or day after I finished. Now I just finished my whole yaz pack, all the white pills, and no period! Last night i took the last pill, and since I had no period, i took a pregnancy test. It came out negative. I have had one period in that 6 weeks but it was only two days long, when usually they are 4-5 days long. I am on Yaz and have not missed a pill. Have you seen the write up on the YAZ pill and issues people have experienced as Bayer "maker" of YAZ has not kept to their promises in terms of how good this pill is compared to other contraceptives. In a forum on this website there were quite of bit of ladies who told thier stories relating to this pill, headaches, bad acne, heavy mood swings, lot of others. Is Yaz treating u well?

I stopped taking YAZ about two months ago. I have had unprotected sex right after stopping the pill and a few more times after that. I am now almost two weeks late on my period. I have taken 6 home pregnancy tests and all were negative. I followed the directions to the T. I have also taken a blood pregnancy test, but am still waiting for the call back from the doctor. What I was wondering is whether or not YAZ can cause pregnancy symptoms after stopping them two months ago?
