I have to constantly be on a BC pill to keep from having cysts once a month. I was on Lo Lo Estren and it was perfect but insurance wanted a generic so I was given a generic for Yaz. Now I am losing my mind! I am super anxious all the time and suddenly jealous of every woman that my husband works with. I obsess over silly things that I would never worry about before. I am switching back ASAP but I was wondering if anyone else has been through this with Yaz as well.

I stopped the Depo shot 2 months ago, and immediately started Yaz, I got my period back at the end of my first pack of Yaz so about 1 1/2 months. How long does it take for Depo to completely leave your system, and if it's still in my system will it actually help protect me from pregnancy along with Yaz?

I was just wondering a) if anybody else has felt sick on Yaz; b) if going off it helped; and c) how long it took for the pill to get out of your system? Thanks for any help. (I'm 18).

it almost sounds like the anxiety is sticking around, possibly due to a fear reaction of how the intital Yaz-related anxiety made you feel. That can happen...there can be a medical or medication related anxiety that ends up morphing into chronic reactive anxiety. Have you ever had trouble with anxiety or depression BEFORE taking the Yaz? If so, what kinds of treatments, if any...did you try?

Is there any difference in the contraception effectiveness of Yaz in patients with polycystic ovarian syndrome? If so what are they?

Just today I am now feeling tenderness of my nipples, is that common too? Does anyone know how long it will take to get out of my system? Also my libido had depleted to nothing, how long should it take for that to come back? I worry that now that I've felt the feeling of anxiety and panic that even with the yaz out of my system I will now continue to experience it forever? Please help!

Hi, I have currently been off my birth control (Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo) for about 3 months and am expericencing the WORST acne of my life. It just recently started this past month, my skin was fine the first 2 months I got off. I was wondering if anyone here has experienced the same thing? And if so, did your acne ever clear up once the birth control got out of your system?

As a cure for my cyst i have been put on YAZ the birth control pill which is the first pill i have been on in a little over a year. once i stop taking YAZ how long till my system is back to normal and we should start trying for a baby again? Does anyone have any idea what may help us concieve....

What type of doctor is treating you - perhaps you need to see a different doctor - like a neuro-endo? If the med is not working, speak to the doc now and get another one now - no sense in messing around.

m not sure what kind of strain you have but your IMMUNE system is key in all of this. You need to strengthen your immune system. My understanding is that when your immune system is low you are more at risk for breakouts! Manipulating hormones can cause those hormonal side effects like breast tenderness. How long did you have that with YAZ. Sometimes you have that for a while early on and it then goes away as your body gets used to the medication. You can always try the other one to see if it is better, but again, breast tenderness is sort of common when our hormones are fluctuating (why we get it before a period, when pregnant and when we have hormonal changes). I was on yaz for a few years, and then I switched. The new pills made my period crazy, but yaz made it come the same time every month. However, yaz made my periods last longer, and I would bleed on and off for a week towards the end of using yaz.

How long have you been on Yaz? Are the cysts still present or is it still too soon to know if it worked? The breast reaction could be associated with the hormones. If I were you, I'd be mentioning this to my doctor. Maybe this BC is not right for you.
