Yaz side effects depression

Common Questions and Answers about Yaz side effects depression

yaz

Avatar f tn There are some good antidepressants, one of which is Wellbutrin XL which has the least amount of side effects. As for the Yaz, , it would be in your best interest to get off this type of birth control pills. Let your doctor start you on antidepressants, get that stabilized and then deal with the birth control issue. Personally, I would avoid all kinds of birth control pills because many of them have side effects like stroke, heart attack and many other really dangerous side effects.
Avatar f tn ive been on yaz for almost 3 years and in the last year i have been sick every month for five months right before my period with gastroenteritis which is vomiting for 2 hours with diarrhea and being very dizzy . i also have very bad mood swings anger irritation very easily, cry for no reason and more, not really sure what to do because my doctor hasnt really suggested i go of of it?
Avatar f tn Hi Jem Why not just google Yaz side effects and see if they match up to your symptems.
Avatar m tn This is not like me at all and have even gone to the point of therapy. A major side effect of the pill is depression and I know this is what is causing this. Last week I had switched to the brand Loett to see if it makes a difference. I know this could take a few months to notice change but now I'm considering coming off it all together. My question is should I just stop taking it now or wait until the end of the packet for me to have my period first.
737515 tn?1252552423 I have had severe anxiety problems before and they are terrible. I am sorry that you are having trouble with them & finding a birth control that works. I would NOT recommend YAZ...it's the only birth control that has had truly debilitating effects on my mood. I've experienced depression, anxiety, headaches, weird breathing/yawning side effects, you name it...
Avatar f tn I've been using Yaz for about 3 months now and I haven't had any major side effects. I bled for the first two weeks and after that, I've been regular. After reading some of the posts here though, I'm scared. Many people are saying they are getting bad side effects like mood swings and depression. I'm very nervous that I'll start getting them now. Any advice?... Thank you so much.
Avatar f tn What all side effects should I expect on Yaz birth control pills, I have been taking it for 1 month and so far I have been having extremely sore breasts, is this very common?
Avatar f tn No, I did not suffer from depression or anxiety prior to taking yaz. I started Yaz on a Thursday and by Sunday I was super excited to see my boyfriend and then that night and the following day its like someone flipped a switch on me..I just felt weird all the time..even with him. Do you know why that is? I started taking Cypralex a month into taking Yaz. I did go off Yaz within 9 days because i thought something was weird...
178590 tn?1294176767 The answer is yes! Yaz can cause depression to worsen. I also suffer from major depression but find that I only felt bad the week before my period. I was happy to find a birth control pill that would help with depression during my period. However, I notice after talking yaz that I felt more depressed and had more anxiety then before. I had extreme mood swings and crying spells while taking yaz. I stopped yaz for a month then started it again. I also had the same symptom after starting yaz again.
Avatar n tn I believe these are just side effects of the pill. I never experienced them myself but my sister experienced both increased hunger and tenderness of her breast on both the pill and the shot.
405998 tn?1222396217 Here in California, on TV trial lawyers are running ads, if you are using Yaz and Yazmine and list of side effects, contact the some number. http://www.drugs.com/sfx/yaz-side-effects.
Avatar n tn I'm on YAZ, and so is my roommate, and we both have trouble with being dry. I actually had to buy lube because it was such an issue. I only switched from Seasonele because of the money, but I'm thinking of going back because of the Yaz side effects. I didnt have any on Seasonele, and I found out that its the same thing as Seasonique (except Seasonique has hormones in the "placebo" pills) and Seasonique is covered by a state program... hopefully everything will work out!
Avatar n tn You stated your girlfriend is using YAZ as a form of birth control. Are you aware that YAZ can have some serious side effects. The product YAZ has made some women very sick. Tell her to google YAZ and she can see for herself. As far as the odds she is pregnant, and you not using a condom and saying you may have come a little inside, and pulled out 97% of the climax, hopefully not. I wish you well.
Avatar n tn hey my sister took yaz for 3 months and she had bad side effects, unable to get out of the bed due to having very bad stomach pains that pepto bismo would only ease the pain for a few minutes. she had to get several tests done because of all the pain she was in, she is currently going through a lawsuit with yaz because of what it has done to her.
Avatar f tn it would be a good idea to see a doctor so he or she can help ypu figure out what is causing all this. ive never heard it a side affect from the yaz. where did you read this? i am also on yaz.
Avatar f tn Your symptoms are worse than what you started. Yaz, like many other birth control pills will cause side effects, but since they are so popular and have put their name so far out to the public, the company is seen as doing the opposite and worse than other companies.
Avatar f tn Doc, which is better and with less side effects, Yaz or Althea? I had breast tenderness issues with Yaz, but the doc said this could also happen with Althea. I have irregular menstruation.
Avatar f tn Good for you!! You took the productive steps to help yourself. The first anti-depressant that you take may not be the one that works or may have some side effects that you can't tolerate. Don't give up and try a different one if that occurs. Wishing you the best. And let me know how things work out for you.
Avatar f tn I am afraid to go off Yaz from all the side effects I hear about it and would like to get pregnant in the near future, instead of going off of it cold turkey and experience all the side effects any suggestions to how many pills I should miss in order to get pregnant?
Avatar f tn Your symptoms sound very much like what I went through on Yaz. Both Yasmin and Yaz have a different kind of progestin than other bcps. I was on Yaz for six months, and started having anxiety attacks about once a month. Then after I quit I felt better for a while, but it seems like at 3 months off and six months off things would get worse for a period of time. Like Ginger said above, you may need to try to take extra care of yourself: taking vitamins, eating healthy, exercise and rest.
Avatar f tn I've always had good luck with Yaz and Yasmin. Yaz has fewer side effects and most people can tolerate it and it works. However- everyone's body is different, and until they get the hormone balance right, you could have spotting, etc. I can say, that most likely- there is a pill out there that you could tolerate. Good luck.
Avatar n tn I was on yaz for a year and a few months (just stopped taking it recently) and had awful side effects while on the pill and from stopping it. I was regular at first but then became irregular after a while, one of the more minor side effects. The first thing you need to do right now is see your doctor, which you are doing. If you are not pregnant you should look into the side effects of yasmin and possibly switch to a lower dose pill.
Avatar f tn You might want to take a look at the Yaz birth control, as some of its side effects are the same as your symptoms, including hair loss.
