Common Questions and Answers about How long do yaz side effects last

yaz

Avatar n tn This is by far the WORST side effect, but I am also experiencing nausea. I would just like to know how long will this depression/anxiety last? It's really starting to take a toll on my daily life. Thanks for any help!

Avatar f tn I was just wondering a) if anybody else has felt sick on Yaz; b) if going off it helped; and c) how long it took for the pill to get out of your system? Thanks for any help. (I'm 18).
Avatar f tn it would be a good idea to see a doctor so he or she can help ypu figure out what is causing all this. ive never heard it a side affect from the yaz. where did you read this? i am also on yaz.
Avatar f tn I am afraid to go off Yaz from all the side effects I hear about it and would like to get pregnant in the near future, instead of going off of it cold turkey and experience all the side effects any suggestions to how many pills I should miss in order to get pregnant?
Avatar f tn Manipulating hormones can cause those hormonal side effects like breast tenderness. How long did you have that with YAZ. Sometimes you have that for a while early on and it then goes away as your body gets used to the medication. You can always try the other one to see if it is better, but again, breast tenderness is sort of common when our hormones are fluctuating (why we get it before a period, when pregnant and when we have hormonal changes). Let us know what you decide.
Avatar f tn but overall, im pretty satisfied with Yaz..the benefits outweigh the risks...and pretty much all the side effects that I had in the beginning have gone away, it took about 3 months.
Avatar n tn I have done some research and have found nothing good about this drug. She has all side effects. She is on day 1 with NO geodon.
Avatar f tn Extensive, long as 3 weeks periods for the first few months '(to limit this I made sure I took it bet 8 and 9 am every morning 2: Heavy heavy bleeding with clots. Apparently the blood flow is not even supposed to clot since your body wants the memses to get out, but if the bleeding is too heavy your body reponds by clotting the blood in the uterus, so it comes out as GLOBS! I have never in my life had this kind of heavy flow before.
473222 tn?1214439873 Reading all of the posts on another part of this forum elated to yasmin and yaz is very scary. My life has been seriously affected by taking yasmin for four years. If I only knew back then what I know now. Please consider the long term effects of taking any birth control pill, not just yasmin or yaz. They primarily work by putting your ovaries to sleep. The pill shuts down your own natural production of hormones and replaces them with lab manufactured hormones.
Avatar m tn This is not like me at all and have even gone to the point of therapy. A major side effect of the pill is depression and I know this is what is causing this. Last week I had switched to the brand Loett to see if it makes a difference. I know this could take a few months to notice change but now I'm considering coming off it all together. My question is should I just stop taking it now or wait until the end of the packet for me to have my period first.
Avatar n tn I'm on YAZ, and so is my roommate, and we both have trouble with being dry. I actually had to buy lube because it was such an issue. I only switched from Seasonele because of the money, but I'm thinking of going back because of the Yaz side effects. I didnt have any on Seasonele, and I found out that its the same thing as Seasonique (except Seasonique has hormones in the "placebo" pills) and Seasonique is covered by a state program... hopefully everything will work out!
Avatar n tn You stated your girlfriend is using YAZ as a form of birth control. Are you aware that YAZ can have some serious side effects. The product YAZ has made some women very sick. Tell her to google YAZ and she can see for herself. As far as the odds she is pregnant, and you not using a condom and saying you may have come a little inside, and pulled out 97% of the climax, hopefully not. I wish you well.
Avatar n tn Although the pill does prevent pregnancy it still happens. However if you have been gradually becoming more irregular it could just be the pill itself. I read some posts on other forums about women getting pregnant while on yaz but I'm not sure how common it is. I was on yaz for a year and a few months (just stopped taking it recently) and had awful side effects while on the pill and from stopping it.
Avatar n tn I believe these are just side effects of the pill. I never experienced them myself but my sister experienced both increased hunger and tenderness of her breast on both the pill and the shot.
Avatar f tn I've always had good luck with Yaz and Yasmin. Yaz has fewer side effects and most people can tolerate it and it works. However- everyone's body is different, and until they get the hormone balance right, you could have spotting, etc. I can say, that most likely- there is a pill out there that you could tolerate. Good luck.
1927233 tn?1326670387 Hello, What you are having is fibrocystic disease of the breasts. Otherwise soreness of breasts can be caused by premenstrual syndrome, hormone therapy, pregnancy and breast feeding, fibrocystic disease, use of oral contraceptives and rarely a breast malignancy. Please consult a gynecologist and discuss these possibilities and change these birth control pills.
Avatar n tn I was on YAZ for about a year without any "side effects", until the last two months. I've had out of cycle bleeding (mostly spotting) before my period. The doctor switched me to Yasmin, which has a higher dose of estrogen. She said that'd stop the spotting. So far.. so good. But she said it's not uncommon w/ YAZ to have these issues. Hope that helps.
Avatar f tn With that said, he said Yaz may in fact be an adequate treatment without the nasty steroid side effects. I did some research and Yaz and Yasmin have been prescribed to treat LOCAH with success. Problem is it will take about 6 months versus 3 days on steroids to start seeing results. But I can live with that. I was just wondering if anyone out there had experience with taking Yaz to treat LOCAH.
