Avatar f tn ive been on yaz for almost 3 years and in the last year i have been sick every month for five months right before my period with gastroenteritis which is vomiting for 2 hours with diarrhea and being very dizzy . i also have very bad mood swings anger irritation very easily, cry for no reason and more, not really sure what to do because my doctor hasnt really suggested i go of of it?
Avatar f tn it would be a good idea to see a doctor so he or she can help ypu figure out what is causing all this. ive never heard it a side affect from the yaz. where did you read this? i am also on yaz.
737515 tn?1252552423 I have had severe anxiety problems before and they are terrible. I am sorry that you are having trouble with them & finding a birth control that works. I would NOT recommend YAZ...it's the only birth control that has had truly debilitating effects on my mood. I've experienced depression, anxiety, headaches, weird breathing/yawning side effects, you name it...
Avatar m tn ve heard from more than one source that the bc pill Yaz also sold as Yasmin, same stuff, is dangerous. If Yaz is causing you to be depressed, with panic attacks and anxiety, I would suggest getting of Yaz altogether, with the help of your family doctor. Wouldn't even finish the end of the package of Yaz. I've heard it can cause blood clots. Seeing as you had unprotected sex with your boyfriend, this would be a good time for a doctor's visit. Good luck.
Avatar f tn There are some good antidepressants, one of which is Wellbutrin XL which has the least amount of side effects. As for the Yaz, , it would be in your best interest to get off this type of birth control pills. Let your doctor start you on antidepressants, get that stabilized and then deal with the birth control issue. Personally, I would avoid all kinds of birth control pills because many of them have side effects like stroke, heart attack and many other really dangerous side effects.
Avatar f tn Well I took Yaz for 3 months and at the end my fiancee kindly asked me to switch, because I was so depressed and crying over everything. My body hurt so much also, headaches, stomach, then I started asking my girlfriends about it - all of them that tried it, got off it very quickly. But it might effect you differently..
Avatar f tn it almost sounds like the anxiety is sticking around, possibly due to a fear reaction of how the intital Yaz-related anxiety made you feel. That can happen...there can be a medical or medication related anxiety that ends up morphing into chronic reactive anxiety. Have you ever had trouble with anxiety or depression BEFORE taking the Yaz? If so, what kinds of treatments, if any...did you try?
Avatar n tn I believe these are just side effects of the pill. I never experienced them myself but my sister experienced both increased hunger and tenderness of her breast on both the pill and the shot.
Avatar m tn I was wondering if switching birth control pills could have helped maximize the anxiety. I switched from yaz to ocella and have only been on ocella for a few months and the anxiety started like a month ago.
Avatar n tn I'm on YAZ, and so is my roommate, and we both have trouble with being dry. I actually had to buy lube because it was such an issue. I only switched from Seasonele because of the money, but I'm thinking of going back because of the Yaz side effects. I didnt have any on Seasonele, and I found out that its the same thing as Seasonique (except Seasonique has hormones in the "placebo" pills) and Seasonique is covered by a state program... hopefully everything will work out!
Avatar f tn Hi Jem Why not just google Yaz side effects and see if they match up to your symptems.
Avatar n tn You stated your girlfriend is using YAZ as a form of birth control. Are you aware that YAZ can have some serious side effects. The product YAZ has made some women very sick. Tell her to google YAZ and she can see for herself. As far as the odds she is pregnant, and you not using a condom and saying you may have come a little inside, and pulled out 97% of the climax, hopefully not. I wish you well.
Avatar n tn hey my sister took yaz for 3 months and she had bad side effects, unable to get out of the bed due to having very bad stomach pains that pepto bismo would only ease the pain for a few minutes. she had to get several tests done because of all the pain she was in, she is currently going through a lawsuit with yaz because of what it has done to her.
Avatar f tn Doc, which is better and with less side effects, Yaz or Althea? I had breast tenderness issues with Yaz, but the doc said this could also happen with Althea. I have irregular menstruation.
Avatar f tn I am afraid to go off Yaz from all the side effects I hear about it and would like to get pregnant in the near future, instead of going off of it cold turkey and experience all the side effects any suggestions to how many pills I should miss in order to get pregnant?
Avatar n tn A year a ago I was on a pill and I thought that my anxiety and weight was an issue so I changed to the Yaz combined pill. My anxiety and weight haven't changed. I have never had trouble with weight until this past 2 years and although I am watching what I eat and exercise 3 times a week nothings is working. I also get extremely lethargic the week before my period and this has been since my last child 10 years ago. Is there any pill out there that will help?
Avatar f tn I've been using Yaz for about 3 months now and I haven't had any major side effects. I bled for the first two weeks and after that, I've been regular. After reading some of the posts here though, I'm scared. Many people are saying they are getting bad side effects like mood swings and depression. I'm very nervous that I'll start getting them now. Any advice?... Thank you so much.
Avatar f tn I've always had good luck with Yaz and Yasmin. Yaz has fewer side effects and most people can tolerate it and it works. However- everyone's body is different, and until they get the hormone balance right, you could have spotting, etc. I can say, that most likely- there is a pill out there that you could tolerate. Good luck.
Avatar n tn I was on yaz for a year and a few months (just stopped taking it recently) and had awful side effects while on the pill and from stopping it. I was regular at first but then became irregular after a while, one of the more minor side effects. The first thing you need to do right now is see your doctor, which you are doing. If you are not pregnant you should look into the side effects of yasmin and possibly switch to a lower dose pill.
Avatar n tn I was on YAZ for about a year without any "side effects", until the last two months. I've had out of cycle bleeding (mostly spotting) before my period. The doctor switched me to Yasmin, which has a higher dose of estrogen. She said that'd stop the spotting. So far.. so good. But she said it's not uncommon w/ YAZ to have these issues. Hope that helps.
Avatar f tn What all side effects should I expect on Yaz birth control pills, I have been taking it for 1 month and so far I have been having extremely sore breasts, is this very common?
Avatar f tn Your symptoms are worse than what you started. Yaz, like many other birth control pills will cause side effects, but since they are so popular and have put their name so far out to the public, the company is seen as doing the opposite and worse than other companies.
Avatar n tn You should talk to your doctor about switching the pills because Yaz and Yasmine have a reputation of having even worse side effects. They go such extent that they can endanger lives. Here is a site with some information on that if you are curious http://www.onlinelawyersource.
Avatar n tn (When my period came back after having my daughter and nursing her for a year, my PMS symptoms got progressively worse each month.) Now, on YAZ, I am having mood swings from extreme calm to extreme anxiety (close to full blown panic attack) and back again. I am easily irritated and have had heart palpatations since the second day on this medicine. I feel like I am going to black out if I stand up even normally--have to stand VERY slowely to avoid the feeling and am tired a lot.
