Since I had been taking the Yaz for almost two months straight (I skipped my period by not taking the placebo pills) do you think this changes the possibility of me being unprotected?
However, yaz made my periods last longer, and I would bleed on and off for a week towards the end of using yaz.
October 15 - Started YAZ, also my first day of period (4 days light period only)
November 10 - Period came
November 11 - Last day of YAZ (first pack)
November 12 - First pill of second pack of YAZ very heavy bleeding
November 13 VERY HEAVY BLEEDING
November 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 Regular bleeding
Nov19- 27 light bleeding
Nov 28 bleeding gone
I went to my OB November 24 and advised me to take my remaining YAZ 3x a day.
i would for sure get another test. and your period may be going back to the end of the month. i'm no doctor so i have no idea about how your PCO effects anything. but i've had those scares before too, and i would suggest buying a test with a better reputation and get a box with more than one incase you ever need any more. and i know this may be a myth but take the test first thing in the morning with your first urination of the day.
That sounds weird to me... I've been on Yasmin for just under two years now, and I've only ever missed two periods. Since my body got used to the pill, my periods are four days at the longest. I'd say keep taking it until your next period and if anything weird happens between now and then, go see your doctor.

I have been on Yaz for over a year and haven't had a period and hope to not have another one! :) It is very healthy not to have a period due to contraceptives such as these. I was on the Depo shot for 16 years and never had a period during that entire time! I had to stop that because it was causing a little bone-loss, however, with many calcium supplements that is now back to normal. I am a super healthy 35 year old. I have a child.
Hi! I am on YAZ birth control, but haven't had sex for 7 weeks since me and my ex broke up. So I missed three days in a row of my pill on the third week, and I read you are supposed to restart a whole new pack if you miss that many on that week. But between that time I got my period, so I started taking a new pack like the instructions said. The weird thing is, is that I'm still on my period and today is day 9. My periods are usually short, probably 4 days.
That's only if you're a Sunday starter. They have two methods for starting your pack, and one of them is to start the first day of your period. That's what I did, and I'm having a super-heavy-long period right now, too.
I was on Yaz for a while, then off it for a few months, and I just went back on. I remember the long period happening last time, too. It'll even out after a while.
When I went for my gyno yearly on Tuesday I asked for birth control pills. She put me on Yaz. She said that I had some blood in my urine and was my period close, I told her yes, it was supposed to be in a few days. Well she said that since I was already spotting some to go ahead and take the Yaz that night. I think now that the bleeding was from the Plan B and realized my period wasn't supposed to start until the following week. But I took the Yaz that night and called my dr.
This is my 3rd month of taking Provera and in the previous months I started my period on days 8 and days 11 while taking the provera. I take 1 pill for 10days. I noticed brown discharge like I'm about to start yesterday but that has currently stopped. I am having lower back pain, cramping and a mild headache. I'm even fatigued like I should be on my cycle. I have taken a total of 5 home preg test and all were negative. I have an appointment with my OBGYN scheduled, in two weeks.
I had sex the night or day after I finished. Now I just finished my whole yaz pack, all the white pills, and no period! Last night i took the last pill, and since I had no period, i took a pregnancy test. It came out negative. But then this morning i had brown discharge.
I'm scared it came out negative because it is too early to take it?! I'm scared the brown discharge is implantation bleeding!? Please make me feel better.
ve been taking yaz for about a month now (almost done with the white pills) and my period started monday.. since then i have had serious cramps!!! i also have PCOS and i'm taking Metformin, which is causing alot of diareah and cramping and nausia.. so right now this period is sheer hellish... from nausia,indegestion,lack of appitite,diareah, and a period from hell.. this week has been the worst yet :'( hope life is going better for you sister!!!
m not sure what the first one was but I know she switched to Yaz) at the beginning of this month. And let me say that no matter what, we always use a condom, her birth control pill, and I also use the withdrawal method. Now, at the end of the month, she came down with a case of strep throat and had to go on an antibiotic.
For the past two months, a week after my period, I have been getting brown spotting. The night before the spotting occurs I get headaches and feel sick. I take my birth control (YAZ) as directed and I have been on it for about a year and a half. The spooting only last about a day or two, but I have never had it do this before. Is this normal? Previously I had constant break-though bleeding (more like a period- for even 2 and a half weeks) and cramps. I switched to Microgestin and that made me so sick I stopped, and then restarted Lo Loestrin Fe.
I have taken it everyday and have never missed a pill. The only thing that I have done probably incorrectly with pill use is only a couple of times I took it maybe an hour and a half/two hours late.

Hey all! I'm still alive, through the grace of God! I am on week three of Yaz and things have gotten better! I have back pain and some fatigue, but overall, I'm well! I know how to calm my anxiousness and I feel like my old self again! To God be the glory for the things He has done!
Hey guys! It's Danielle and I stopped taking Yaz about two months ago, and I feel fantastic. The weight is going away slowly but surely, and my periods, although slightly irregular, have been better. I'm a bit more moody than before, Yaz always made me feel PMS when I shouldn't have though. Getting off the Yaz was the best thing I could have done!
Have you seen the write up on the YAZ pill and issues people have experienced as Bayer "maker" of YAZ has not kept to their promises in terms of how good this pill is compared to other contraceptives. In a forum on this website there were quite of bit of ladies who told thier stories relating to this pill, headaches, bad acne, heavy mood swings, lot of others. Is Yaz treating u well?
How can you gain weight if you have lost your appetite? I know that everytime I have lost my appetite I have lost a tremendous amount of weight. In the book that comes with Yaz it says that spotting may occur. Some of these pills work for some and some don't work for others. I have used Yaz and like it the best and my friend used it and it made her sick. It's too bad they didn't have a way to plug in your information and out pops an answer of what pill you should use.
Please don't judge me. I am 15 years old, and I am currently taking Yaz. My boyfriend and I have been together for a long time, and we wanted to have sex. Well, we tried, but it hurt me really bad, so all he did for about one or two minutes was just push his penis against my vagina for a little while. His penis never entered my vagina. I am worried that I could be pregnant from pre-ejaculation, if he had any.
