Hi, my situation is that I had my period on 1th May 2016. I am usually on Yaz birth control pills. On 7th and 8th of May I forgot to take Yaz and decided to stop the pack. On 10th May had unprotected intercourse and on 11th took norlevo. After that day I started spotting brown and on 15 May it was red and heavy like my period normally is. It lasted 3 days. I was expecting my period on 28 May but nothing. Have done two pregnancy tests both negative.

I have had unprotected sex right after stopping the pill and a few more times after that. I am now almost two weeks late on my period. I have taken 6 home pregnancy tests and all were negative. I followed the directions to the T. I have also taken a blood pregnancy test, but am still waiting for the call back from the doctor. What I was wondering is whether or not YAZ can cause pregnancy symptoms after stopping them two months ago?

There is always a possibility. The only way you will know is if you take a home pregnancy test. First Response is a good brand. Have you been stressed lately??? This could delay your period as well. Birth control is not 100% effective. Doubling up with a condom is also a good idea if you are not wanting to get pregnant at this time. Good luck and let us know!

I doubt she's pregnant. Sounds to me like you covered every detail (literally!). The stress and sickness COULD cause her to start her period late, but if anything does, it could be that she started new pills. I don't think it will cause a problem though, because pills usually keep you on a very predictable schedule as far as when your period starts. If anything, she may start on a different day than she normally does, but still during the inactive pill week. Make sense?

I started yaz a month ago and was pretty consisitant! Now no period... As of now 3 days late- at one day late I tested just to make sure so I could stop BC but now still no period! I've had cramps for over a week now! I'm getting so irratated.

i had a little for the first time before my last period and then now i havent had my period for a week and a half and i got the the same thing but more now im on the generic version of yaz and it says there could be spotting is that blood with regular discharge or and infection? should i be worried?

I've been on birth control (Yaz) since late September, so my period follows a strict schedule, showing up every fourth Monday. Often times I've missed pills, but it's never resulted in an early or late period; it dutifully shows up on the day it's supposed to. Except for my last period. My period was due July 26th. I missed pills on the 17th and 18th, the same days I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend.

making ovulation later or absent,when this happens,you either wont have a period due to not ovulating,or it will be late due to ovulating late.wait another week and test again.

Okay, forgive me if this gets lengthy. I have been on a small dose of Yaz since October. It was given to me to regulate my very irregular (and often absent) periods. At the end of May (on the 18th), I had surgery on my stomach and stopped taking the Yaz. I had been forgetting to take them all month, and had a very light period right before the surgery.

Hey lady's so here's my dilemma I am 28 days late from when I was suppose to have my next period. I've takin 3 pregnancy tests and all have been definite negatives. We've been using protection because I stop taking my birth control a month before that and so I'm sure my hormones are messed up (I've been taking it for almost 5 years) So I'm not sure. Hi... I was on Yaz for 3 motnhs Jan- feb. On march I got my MP normatl cycle. Isupposed to get MP on Monday 04/28/08 but nothing yet. I tested but neg. (3 tests) Can this be a cause of pills... not sure what to do and how long to wait before I call the doctor???

I have been on birth control for 2 months now. I haven't missed any pills, but I usually take them within 2 hrs. Its always between 825 and 10. But 4 days ago I had un protected sex then took my pil 4 hours late. Then the next day I started on my white pills. I'm on yaz so I only have 4 white pills and I'm on the day where I should be starting my new pack and still no period. Is it possible to be late while on birth control? Or do I have a big chance of being pregnant?

October 15 - Started YAZ, also my first day of period (4 days light period only) November 10 - Period came November 11 - Last day of YAZ (first pack) November 12 - First pill of second pack of YAZ very heavy bleeding November 13 VERY HEAVY BLEEDING November 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 Regular bleeding Nov19- 27 light bleeding Nov 28 bleeding gone I went to my OB November 24 and advised me to take my remaining YAZ 3x a day.

I was on yaz for a few years, and then I switched. The new pills made my period crazy, but yaz made it come the same time every month. However, yaz made my periods last longer, and I would bleed on and off for a week towards the end of using yaz.

The migraine and headaches were what led me to go off of Yaz. I had a period 3 days after going off Yaz, but nothing since (and that was over a month ago). Since going off Yaz, I have had nipple soreness and a return of libido. I have not noticed any weight gain. I also returned to 0-1 times getting up to urinate each night. I've also had a return to my normal face and chest acne (although, again, not a major problem).

I was on Yaz started taking it in late 07 after i had my daughter and 3 months on the pills i had got pregnant with my son also i had just talked to my dr about getting on somedifferent pills because i had a massive hair loss when i had started taking them and it didnt stop month after month...and a total of 5 month on the pills.

Your period could come late simply due to switching. However, it may be wise to take a pregnancy test if your late simply because it can take up to a month for the new birth control to become effective. I'm surprised your Dr. didn't tell you to have safe sex for the first 30 days after starting the pill.

Hi! I am on YAZ birth control, but haven't had sex for 7 weeks since me and my ex broke up. So I missed three days in a row of my pill on the third week, and I read you are supposed to restart a whole new pack if you miss that many on that week. But between that time I got my period, so I started taking a new pack like the instructions said. The weird thing is, is that I'm still on my period and today is day 9. My periods are usually short, probably 4 days.

Question for anyone out there using the birth control pill Yaz. Has ya'lls period stopped completely? Need to know if that is normal.

This is enough to drive most women crazy I think! I am 26, married, never been pregnant... It is July 13th and I haven't had a period since April 21st. I've always had regular and normal periods. I stopped taking YAZ back in November. I've taken several pregnancy tests and they have all been negative. I also went and got a blood test today and it was negative. I am scheduled to have an ultrasound tomorrow. So it will be 3 months since I have had a period in 8 days.

I've just recently switched from Ortho Tricyilin to Yaz. I'm supposed to take my last placebo pill tonight but I still haven't gotten my period. I was a bit late taking one pill but it was only 90mins. I don't use any back-up methods and I have never missed a pill. Could I be pregnant just from switching pills?
