I have been on a small dose of Yaz since October. It was given to me to regulate my very irregular (and often absent) periods. At the end of May (on the 18th), I had surgery on my stomach and stopped taking the Yaz. I had been forgetting to take them all month, and had a very light period right before the surgery. Anyway, come June, I got my period in the middle of the month, like on the 14th, which was weird considering my periods usually come at the end of the month.
Last month I got my period but it was pretty light and ended soon, which I thought was normal for yaz. I had sex the night or day after I finished. Now I just finished my whole yaz pack, all the white pills, and no period! Last night i took the last pill, and since I had no period, i took a pregnancy test. It came out negative. But then this morning i had brown discharge.
I'm scared it came out negative because it is too early to take it?!
HI there, please can I get an opinion, I've just came of the YAZ pill 3 months now which I was taking for about 8 months, and period was on time for 2 months since of the pill, this is the 3rd month and I'm 3 days late. I did a test this morning but its negative and my breasts are sore for 1 week now, I have a little discharge this week n some cramps. In the past I was irregular but a doctor helped me balance before going on the pill... what could it be?
October 15 - Started YAZ, also my first day of period (4 days light period only)
November 10 - Period came
November 11 - Last day of YAZ (first pack)
November 12 - First pill of second pack of YAZ very heavy bleeding
November 13 VERY HEAVY BLEEDING
November 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 Regular bleeding
Nov19- 27 light bleeding
Nov 28 bleeding gone
I went to my OB November 24 and advised me to take my remaining YAZ 3x a day.
i had a little for the first time before my last period and then now i havent had my period for a week and a half and i got the the same thing but more now im on the generic version of yaz and it says there could be spotting is that blood with regular discharge or and infection? should i be worried?
I am on my second week of Yaz-put on it for really bad PMS and extremely heavy periods. (When my period came back after having my daughter and nursing her for a year, my PMS symptoms got progressively worse each month.) Now, on YAZ, I am having mood swings from extreme calm to extreme anxiety (close to full blown panic attack) and back again. I am easily irritated and have had heart palpatations since the second day on this medicine.
Have you been to a gynecologist or physician about this? There is something going on, and you need to figure out what it is. It's not healthy to have such long periods and is often a symptom of hormonal issues or other problems.
I have been having late periods following unprotected sex with an isolated partner (my fiancée). Last month, I was supposed to have regulated (says my physician) and I started on the Thursday in my pack. My next pill is on a Saturday. I am very concerned. It's Thursday night at 10:30, and I have taken some pills irregularly this month. I have no signs of a period whatsoever. I'm not moody (even on YAZ I'm moody), and I'm not having ANY cramps.
Although the pill does prevent pregnancy it still happens. However if you have been gradually becoming more irregular it could just be the pill itself. I read some posts on other forums about women getting pregnant while on yaz but I'm not sure how common it is. I was on yaz for a year and a few months (just stopped taking it recently) and had awful side effects while on the pill and from stopping it.
s nurse suggested I try Yaz. She said it was about the same thing and I get shorter periods. At first I felt good, but around the second pack I started getting horrible headaches, my periods would stretch out to a week instead of a few days, I would breakout, and I had terrible mood swings. Interestingly enough, my best friend started getting the same symptoms as me after taking Yaz and she hadn't even been on birth control before, so I had the feeling we probably weren't alone.

I am now 36 and was on Yaz for 1.5 years. I went off of it about 5 weeks ago because of 10 days of headaches culminating in a migraine. I went off Yaz immediately after the migraine (and my doctor agreed that was a good decision). Therefore, I went off Yaz mid-pack. In general, I do not react well to BCP. I had been on several when I was in my early 20s.
Previously I had constant break-though bleeding (more like a period- for even 2 and a half weeks) and cramps. I switched to Microgestin and that made me so sick I stopped, and then restarted Lo Loestrin Fe.
I have taken it everyday and have never missed a pill. The only thing that I have done probably incorrectly with pill use is only a couple of times I took it maybe an hour and a half/two hours late.
I’ve spotted quite often- not as badly as before.
I know while I am there to get my results he is going to try to get me to take YAZ, which he suggested when I got my PAP exam (I researched YAZ and found some horror stories!!) or some sort of IUD...I don't know how to feel about that either. Should I listen to my instincts and avoid birth control? It seems to me it's just a band-aid and not a real solution to a problem. If I do have PCOS, are there other alternatives besides taking birth control? Please give me some guidance.

She really needs to get into the doctor. Periods should not be that painful...I mean don't get me wrong, we all have those days where we feel like our ovaries are being twisted and pulled in every which way...but not all the time. Her periods probably returned because of the dieting and losing weight. If you guys aren't trying for a baby, I do suggest to get on birth control. I'm on Yasmin and love it. Never any problems with it and it made my periods less painful and less heavy.
m not sure what the first one was but I know she switched to Yaz) at the beginning of this month. And let me say that no matter what, we always use a condom, her birth control pill, and I also use the withdrawal method. Now, at the end of the month, she came down with a case of strep throat and had to go on an antibiotic.
11 days before i'm suppose to start my period, black blood starts coming out. I thought it was nothing at first and that it would go away, but its still coming out, and its been a couple days. I am sexually active, and i'm on the birth control Yaz. My periods have always been normal and light, with and without birth control. I am having a little of adominal pain. I'm not sure whats going on, my boyfriend has looked at the colour and even he is suspicious, because of how black is it.
i have been on Yaz for about 3 years, my periods are very light a spotty like, there has been time that i missed a period. I am concerened now since two or three weeks ago i had intercourse but i used a condom both times, i did not miss any pills this month. And now i am three days late on my period, i have had menstral crampy but no bleeding is there a chance that i am pregnant? How soon should i get a test?

How can you gain weight if you have lost your appetite? I know that everytime I have lost my appetite I have lost a tremendous amount of weight. In the book that comes with Yaz it says that spotting may occur. Some of these pills work for some and some don't work for others. I have used Yaz and like it the best and my friend used it and it made her sick. It's too bad they didn't have a way to plug in your information and out pops an answer of what pill you should use.
Three weeks ago I was sexually active for the first time since being off the pill. We used withdrawal and it was very quick and he was clean (to be blunt in, out, done..literally). But right now I am a little worried because these last few weeks I thought have been having what was my usual PMS/ovulation symptoms. Mostly just a little cramping, some bloating and heartburn, and this past week the feeling I might start my period that day, but so far nothing.
