It's probably the pills you're on. I was on yaz for a few years, and then I switched. The new pills made my period crazy, but yaz made it come the same time every month. However, yaz made my periods last longer, and I would bleed on and off for a week towards the end of using yaz.
Ok so I have been on yaz for 4 or 5 months. Last month I got my period but it was pretty light and ended soon, which I thought was normal for yaz. I had sex the night or day after I finished. Now I just finished my whole yaz pack, all the white pills, and no period! Last night i took the last pill, and since I had no period, i took a pregnancy test. It came out negative. But then this morning i had brown discharge.
I'm scared it came out negative because it is too early to take it?!
That sounds weird to me... I've been on Yasmin for just under two years now, and I've only ever missed two periods. Since my body got used to the pill, my periods are four days at the longest. I'd say keep taking it until your next period and if anything weird happens between now and then, go see your doctor.

There is always a possibility as Sasha said. But I was on Yaz at one time and didn't have a period for 6 months with it all the while continuing to BD. I wasn't pregnant.
Hi, I'm new to the community, see you posted last month. I was on Yasmin, I think its related to Yaz but not the same for about two years. I had some really odd symptoms with Yasmin and begged my dr to take me off of it, since then I was on Apri, which is just generic desogen.

I just had a baby 8 wks ago and am waiting for the first period to come along before starting it. however, I may have to just break down and take it because the first period is taking it's sweet time showing up. She said bleeding will stop after I finish YAZ, then switch to ALTHEA when I get my first period. She said that Althea is a little bit high on dosage compared to YAZ. My remaining YAZ pill will be finished on November 29 (two white pills for that day).

Hi! I am on YAZ birth control, but haven't had sex for 7 weeks since me and my ex broke up. So I missed three days in a row of my pill on the third week, and I read you are supposed to restart a whole new pack if you miss that many on that week. But between that time I got my period, so I started taking a new pack like the instructions said. The weird thing is, is that I'm still on my period and today is day 9. My periods are usually short, probably 4 days.

This time around my period is not starting. I have been on my white pills for 3 days now and am starting to be a little concerned. I take my pills everyday and have not missed once, but i am guilty at taking it at a different time. I am suppose to at 8pm, and the latest i have taken it would have to be 12am. But anyway my boyfriend and i are sexually active and we use a condom everytime along with my pill. As far as i know it has never broken but has slipped off inside of me.

I just started taking Yaz birthcontrol in the beginning of Novermber. I had a regular period on Dec 3rd. My period seemed to go away by wednesday the 10th, but now on Dec. 16th, i still have what seems to be a brownish colored supstance coming out. I know its not my period because i am not bloaded, and i dont have cramps or have pms. what could this be?????
Completely agree with you! i've been on YAZ for about 3 years and just went off it in June. I didn't experience any real side effects for the first 2 months (my period came right on time), but I recently started loosing a lot of hair. Did anyone here experience this before?
I hope this stops soon, perhaps my hormone levels are stil off...no idea, planning to see my doc for answers.
I ended up spotting from March 3-6th, and then was supposed to start my period on the 7th (placebo pills) and it wasn't there. I took a test (First Response) on the 7th and it was negative. Accurate?

I ever used IUD for 1 month, 5 years ago, and I change to hormone injection after I got bleeding, and I'm not suitable with BC pills. I'm in BC pills and forgot to take it for couple days and got pregnant until I got my MC.
I have been on Yaz for 4 months now and my period got lighter and lighter until this month it didn't arrive. I DO NOT think that it is healthy to not get your period for months at a time. A period is part of being a woman and being fertile as burdensome as it is. I can imagine that it could damage your body later in life and prevent you from having kids.
I have also been experiencing a large increase in hair loss...It just keeps coming out! Who wants to go bald??
I had unprotected sex on a Saturday and took Plan B on Monday. When I went for my gyno yearly on Tuesday I asked for birth control pills. She put me on Yaz. She said that I had some blood in my urine and was my period close, I told her yes, it was supposed to be in a few days. Well she said that since I was already spotting some to go ahead and take the Yaz that night.
How long did you have that with YAZ. Sometimes you have that for a while early on and it then goes away as your body gets used to the medication. You can always try the other one to see if it is better, but again, breast tenderness is sort of common when our hormones are fluctuating (why we get it before a period, when pregnant and when we have hormonal changes). Let us know what you decide.
I have had unprotected sex right after stopping the pill and a few more times after that. I am now almost two weeks late on my period. I have taken 6 home pregnancy tests and all were negative. I followed the directions to the T. I have also taken a blood pregnancy test, but am still waiting for the call back from the doctor. At the end of May (on the 18th), I had surgery on my stomach and stopped taking the Yaz. I had been forgetting to take them all month, and had a very light period right before the surgery. Anyway, come June, I got my period in the middle of the month, like on the 14th, which was weird considering my periods usually come at the end of the month. Then, on the 24th, I lost my virginity. We used a condom and were careful, etc.
I had sex for the first time 2 days ago. The condom failed. however I am on birth control (yaz). I would like to take a pregnancy test to make sure that Im not pregnant. the instructions say you can take it the first day after your missed period but since im on birthcontrol I am only having 1 every 3 months and I wouldnt really know if I was missing a period or not. When should I take it? can I find out early enough that I could take the morning after pill?
Shes been on BC for like 3 years and when she switched to Yaz, we read the leaflet which said that when you start a new pack, it takes 7 days for the pills to become effective (it also said that if you were switching to Yaz from another BC, then you needed to start yaz like you would the other bc as normal; however, I assumed that it still took a week to become effective). However, this could be wrong, I really am not sure. But thank you for the advice!
