Avatar f tn Hi Jackie it can take a while for the bloating to go down after surgery, its the gas they put into us so they get a better view of our insides. I have had two large abdominial surgerys now and i know what it is like. We are all different it took absolutely weeks last time but this time i am 2 weeks post op and it has already returned to normal. I think it,s the wind build up and the fact that your insides have been through a trauma. How long post op are you? Give it time it will go down.
