Avatar f tn Having a full time job (desk job) I get up at 6 am and get off work at 530pm. By the time I get home its 6 and I make dinner. Leaving me enough time to help my daughter with her homework in which I go to bed at 9. What does this mean for my baby? I am active on weekends and of course on some nights when I get free. I walk and make sure I get enough water in. Please be nice.
Avatar f tn do any of you have trouble with this? i need to sit at my desk to get school work done, but I can't last more than 30 min without my shoulders and neck burning and sore. i've tried using an icepack and it helps, but i don't think you're supposed to have those on for more than 15 minutes. after i take it off it starts hurting again. i'm still sore from writing a paper on tuesday. what should i do? sitting on my bed makes me lumbar area hurt.
Avatar m tn I work out at an exercise gym and go on the treadmill 3 days a week for 30 minutes in a cardiac workout at level 8 or 9. My father had an angioplasty at age 67. Over the past few weeks I have noted that I get some mild tightness in the left corner of my chest near my shoulder, which can sometimes radiate to my neck. It generally comes on after light exercise or while I am on the treadmill, but it can also occur while working at my desk.
715004 tn?1309077280 I'm on a beta blocker, bystolic 5 mg., for spiking bp and hr. BP on meds avgs 100ish/6ish, HR 66ish. Real good, supposedly. I've only been on it for about a week. Today, while sitting at my desk, I suddenly started falling over as if passing out. I never hit the desk (that's where I was heading). No prior dizziness, pain or anything, I just realized I was on my way down and "came to" although I don't recall ever losing consciousness. If I did it was just seconds.
Avatar n tn I am 18 and havent finished high school. and i need a desk job or sitting job for my pregnancy. my man works but he os close to losing his job because o his.diabetes. please help with any ideas.
Avatar f tn There are 4 other people that could be covering this lunch hour besides me am I wrong to ask that I not be put at the front desk and for the reason of hand tremors? I love my job and the people I work with but this has completely stressed me out, which makes everything worse Is there anybody that knows what employees rights are? When I was at my neuro last year I had mentioned the tremors and work and told him I was changing positions which he thought was a very good idea.
11886352 tn?1439436334 You go girl! That's really all I can say because I'm 34 weeks as well but I work at a desk, which also takes a toll on me.
Avatar m tn I had no head injuries, around 2 years back I noticed more or less sudden loss of memory and general loosing track of almost everything in my life -short term memory was decreased - for a healthy person it feels the same as just being introduced to 5 new people and forgetting their names minute after -recalling things take longer time than it used to be -drop of sex drive a little bit, I can still perform couple of times a day just I can much easier forget about it for a week or month, almost n
9095217 tn?1408287670 m in school full time and work two part time jobs (substitute and tech at a hospital) the 12 hrs at the hospital kill me but I'm going to work until I go into labor lol
973741 tn?1342342773 s not near enough to even balance out all that time sitting at your desk. The only way to do that is to not sit at that desk but walk around at work all day and do your thinking on your feet or while moving and then sit down when you're ready to put thought to paper. I'm not say anyone is going to do that at work, only that it's a way to balance out things. Another way is to bike or walk everywhere you go.
Avatar f tn I know you can continue to work out but I would ask the Dr which workouts are ok just to be safe. Maybe it's because I'm almost 36wks but I couldn't picture myself jumping rope lol. But I'm pretty sure keeping up with a workout routine will help you have an easier delivery.
Avatar n tn I just turned 44 and am very active - swim competitively, hike, workout at gym, etc. - almost daily. Over the past week, I've experienced tight, swollen calves (both of them) for no apparent reason. Usually happens while sitting at work desk. I try to get up hourly and walk around. I've tried different chairs, but it doesn't seem to matter. When they start to hurt, I stretch them out and even try to massage them, but to no avail.
Avatar n tn Well with my first i worked all the way up to my schedule day to be induced, but with that being said i did work in an office at a desk so im sure the circumstances are much different i was told i should go on maternity leave at 37 weeks...
5650943 tn?1374112808 I sit at desk all day too. Not strenuous at all but it KILLS my back!
621711 tn?1223570604 i cannot make myself work, literally. i'm afraid of getting fired. i have paperwork weeks old, when customers walk up it seriously just ticks me off...i dunno what to do.
Avatar f tn So i'm posting this from my desk as I type. i'm so ready for maternity leave that I don't know what to do with myself lo. I work in a call center so some of you may know how that goes. I have zero patience for these members. Blahhhhh!
492921 tn?1321289896 Today I went back to work at the hotel. Originally I was only going to be working a 4 hour shift 2 Saturdays a month and if any other 4 hour shift needed covered and I was available I would. So tonight I was needed and agreed to come in. Kaelynn has been screaming and wont take the bottle. My heart is breaking knowing that my little girl is at home with her dad and he can't get her to settle down.
Avatar m tn Ian, What types of activities are you involved in? Do you play any sports, work out at a gym, bike ride, etc.. Also, if you have a career or part-time job, what type of work do you do? Fill me in... There may be a correlation. Adam Tanase, D.C. www.drtanase.
13864745 tn?1443685231 What are some things that I need in order to be comfortable at my desk while I am at work? I am currently a call center agent, I do have frequent breaks to get up & walk. I just want to know is there anything I can buy to take to work so I am more comfortable as I sit & to help make sure my blood is circulating good.
Avatar m tn And while at work (i have a desk job) sometimes my feet will get the tingly feelings as well. Also i have started to feel like i have pressure in my head and get a dull pain a the top of my head. Of course I googled the symptoms and everything comes back even HIV and diabetes which made my mind go crazy. I have been with the same girl for about 7 months and dont beleive it is that but I wnated to get an outside opinion of if I should see a doctor or could it just be my anxiety.
Avatar f tn If it is physical, where you have to be on your feet for long periods of time, you might need to take a different approach than if you work at a desk job in cubicle with lots of irritating coworkers and nagging bosses. Stress is not always such a bad thing for our MS - our immune system needs a bit of stress to thrive, but too much stress can be a bad thing - finding the right balance is key.
Avatar f tn I mostly sat at my desk and did paper work and watched over my employees. All big stuff that needed to be done I'd book my strong guys in for or my bf would show up and help.
Avatar f tn Im so scared to do any hard cardio or alot of jumping and anything else I think would harm the baby or increase the chances of miscarriage. Are there any expecting mom who work out 30mins everyday and what are your routines.
Avatar f tn I teach middle school and also went back last week. I live in flip flops as I am 32 weeks and can't tie my shoes/struggle with socks. I also have a few 'teacher'chairs that I rotate between sitting in as I teach and work at the board and my desk. Having an ottoman) or even a sturdy cardboard box) under your desk to prop up your feet when you can helps too. I feel your pain though. By the end of the day I am exhausted.
Avatar n tn Hello all! I'm 15 weeks pregnant with my second. This pregnancy is draining all of my energy, and I'm feeling useless at work. I work in retail 8-9 hours a day for 5 days a week. I work all over the store, so I'm expected to do everything. The hours take a lot out of me, and I feel like I can't keep working because I'm so slow at doing my tasks for the day. I feel like my managers expect me to be able to do as much (or more) as I was able to do before I became pregnant.
Avatar f tn In some ways I feel better, in some ways not. Like kitty face says, work did make time go faster, mostly because at work I was less self-obsessed (don't get me wrong, you must be self obsessed to do the treatment) and more distracted from how crazy treatment can get. I also am sleeping less well because I'm spending more time in bed and have less activity to tire me out. I think it's a toss-up and depends on the nature of your work.
