Avatar f tn Thanks guys for the comments I have one last sono on Jan 7th so see her final weight Dr still wants to induce me at 37-38 weeks because he says going full term with GD is dangerous I'm a little confused to how they get a weight by measurements but Dr is concerned which makes me worried I'm still hoping for a vaginal birth these stories give me hope even if she is 10lbs (hope she not)
Avatar f tn You didn't do anything wrong! some women can eat all they want and their baby will still come out small and some women could gain little weight and have a 9 pounder. don't stress out about it!
541150 tn?1306037443 Also, it's normal to slow in weight gain. Even if you didn't gain anymore weight the baby would take what he needs from you and still gain.
10636813 tn?1411699080 And most people can't even tell I'm pregnant. Before i was pregnant most of my weight was in my thigh's, my stomach was always kinda flat so i figured i would show more. Idk butIs that normal. Plz help. Is anyone else experiencing this?
299260 tn?1304219705 ) I didn't gain any weight this past week, but I've been pretty steady with gaining 1 pound per week the past month or so. My nutritionist today said it's ok I didn't gain this week because I gained adequately all along. Geez, I'm 172 pounds! I can hardly believe it! :) dnikki: Looking forward to seeing Peyton's pics! :) Stacey: Thanks :) Good to know! I guess it all depends on how my diabetes does after the babies are born. I can't have alcohol anyway if my glucose doesn't regulate.
299260 tn?1304219705 That's gonna be a long visit b/c I'll see my regular doctor, then go upstairs to the specialist for my u/s to do her measurements and check the cord, then have my 3-d u/s, then do my non-stress test and then go back downstairs to go over all the results with my docotor! Geez... I'm tired just thinking about it! lol :) But it'll be cool to have a complete " Addy" day! ;) How are you feeling? That's crazy you're almost in your 2nd trimester, yay!!! :) Moving right along!
299260 tn?1304219705 at the same time. It was funny. The nurse said they actually took measurements on 17 follies today! My lining is 6.1, which is really exciting for me because it's never been thicker than 5 even on the day of iui. So, I'm feeling good about that 'cause there's still time for it to thicken. So, just wanted to give my update. I hope you're all having a great weekend!
299260 tn?1304219705 but he was 12.9lbs, almost doubled his weight since birth. he is such a good baby. he will take a bottle around 8pm, then go to bed and sleep til between 3-5am, then wake up, take a bottle and go back to bed til between 7-8. he does baby babble, lil laughs, huge smiles. he now reaches for you when he wants to be picked up and has learned how to fake cry to get attention, its funny. he also loves the show wonder pets, he is amazed by them when they are on the tv.
Avatar f tn Muscle is your friend... however, make sure your strength training (weight lifting) is utilizing low weight and high repetitions... you most likely do not want to bulk up.
Avatar f tn You will never be able to tell your child's true weight until you have them, this can be an issue for some women as the bigger the baby, the harder labor is. If your doctor starts to feel concerned about your baby's weight/size then they may suggest a c-section as a larger baby in regular delivery can be extremely stressful. they have trouble telling no matter what so it's nothing to stress about.
299260 tn?1304219705 ) Ad_06- Congrats on seeing the h/b today!! Isn't it just awesome?! :) That's great the measurements are caught up with the sac! I know you're on cloud 9 today! I'm just so happy that everything is going perfectly for you! :) Congrats again sweetie!!! :) I'll be sure and check out your u/s pic! Keyan- Congrats on your +OPK and O!!! :) Don't worry about the multiple +OPK's! I remember one cycle I had 8 positives in a row!
299260 tn?1304219705 I also passed my glucose test with flying colors which is nice especially this time of the year lol. My weight gain was a little more than I expected, but I'm to the point where I really don't care anymore! I think I've gained a total of 24 pounds now which isn't aweful, but I had a 3lb gain in 2wks!! But she's measuring right on :-) I didn't ask about leave, I'm hoping I see Dr. H next time and I'll talk to him about it. But if not, I'll still bring it up to Dr. R. So there's my update!!!
1092756 tn?1257027809 If not pregnant, weight loss would occur, but with the weight that's normal to add during pregnancy it can even out.
Avatar n tn I only drink water and I go to the gym 2-3 times a week.. you gotta try to do everything you can.. but pregnant women gain weight..
Avatar f tn I'm already 9 months and Im jealous that I didn't know I could know his weight ! Omg I'm so excited now.
299260 tn?1304219705 So i'll suggest an amnio, which will make me feel better getting one anyways to make sure her lungs are ready! Anyway, I'll check in in a few hours! Addy's weight should be around 4 pounds today! Big baby!! ;) Mommyin10- CONGRATS!! I know it's not for sure yet, but how amazing that would be! :) Good luck with your blood test today, and I'm sure your chromosome test will come back normal when you all discuss it on the 11th! I'm curious to see what your RE says!!
299260 tn?1304219705 Starting an exercise routine can definitely make changes to your hormones especially if you are losing weight. Well...I will continue to dance in my PJs and hope that Friday's u/s shows a nice big follie!!!! Keyan - Glad you are keeping busy and that your next LAP is coming up soon. Time is flying! Dnikki - Definitley hope your cyst is gone after all of this. Not sure what to think about the pink. Maybe from bd'ing? Hopefully it goes away and AF shows when she is supposed to!
10389360 tn?1410827568 BMI is probably the worst way to measure how fit you are. It's just weight and height. So if you're short and muscular you may have a high bmi indicating you are "fatter" than you actually are. I wouldn't worry so much about it. There are lots of other more accurate measurements like the fat skin fold tests and bone size tests. If you are big boned (which is a real thing!) Your bmi will also be higher.
Avatar f tn would have more effect on the weight of your baby than what you're eating. I've heard of tiny, tiny women having 10 lb babies and I've heard of obese women having little 6-lbers. That being said, so long as you are eating healthfully and drinking plenty of water you are doing what you can. Some women just gain more weight than others no matter what they do. AND I just want to emphasize that you gaining more weight doesn't mean your baby will be huge.
Avatar n tn Most people can improve the quality of the food they eat and lose weight. The first thing to do is switch from soft drinks to water. Soda should be a rare treat once or twice a month, not every day. Avoid fast food and eat home-cooked, well-balance meals focusing on a variety of vegetables as well as poultry, fish, and lean meats. Whole fruits are fine, and better than juices because they have more fiber you need. Don't fry food. Use healthier methods and healthy oils.
228463 tn?1216765121 or we could go by body weight % for the contest so it would be fair because the more you have to lose, the more you can lose, you know? (weight watchers goes in 10% weight loss incraments) I would like to lose 35 pounds, maybe 40... And then I would still not be skinny, but normal and within weight range. Can somone tell the trick-or-treaters to come early to get rid of all this candy in my house?
28677 tn?1189759426 Hi I had my son 17 months ago I lost the weight but I gain back 15lbs what is the best exercise out there.
Avatar f tn I wanted to know if the average weight gain should be 25-35lbs...&& Im 117lbs at 21weeks and 3days which 117lbs + 25lbs=142lbs...Will I still have the chance to put on weight Im not loosing weight Im just slowly gaining? This my first pregnancy and to me Im barely showing but to others Im showing. Also my doctor did my belly measurements which was 20inches n she told me Im fine just by now she wanted me at 12lbs.
144571 tn?1213935474 I have heard a lot about women losing weight the first trimester. I think its pretty normal to either not gain anything or lose in that time frame. I bet all is just fine with those twins!! But if concerned, you should always let your OB know. Best of luck to you, and wishing you a healthy 24 remaining weeks!!
Avatar n tn It's true that when first beginning an exercise program you can be building muscle, rather than losing weight. You should always take your measurements before beginning an exercise regimen, because often measurements will decrease while the scale will not. You should also get checked for medical conditions, such as hypothyroidism, insulin resistance and PCOS, which can all cause weight gain/inability to lose.
Avatar f tn But my obgyn isnt worried as my ultrasound is showing a healthy baby with proper measurements n weight. What the baby needs it gets from the mother. I started out overweight so she didnt want me to gain much anyway. There isnt any reason to worry unless your doctor comments on your weight. Until then eat what you like when you like just remember to stay healthy. Good luck.
Avatar f tn OMG - - - that must have aweful. Do you think the weight measurements are within 1/2 pound or so????
Avatar f tn which isn't much just because I get sore or extremely dizzy, I eat bananas daily.... have been having a hard time holding down water...
Avatar n tn I have gained a little muscle and lost about an inch in measurements. A number of people especially a nurse (when they found out how long I've been dancing and about the change in my activiy level) have expressed a concern about how little weight/inches I've lost. I confess when I started thinking back I too am becoming concerned. The same nurse suggested I get my thyriod checked.
