Common Questions and Answers about Weight measurements grams to ounces

weight

Avatar n tn You don't necessarily need a scale to measure your food. For instance, a medium apple is, approximately, 3" in diameter and contains 95 calories. There are ways to gauge portion sizes that are not exact, but are pretty simple... Here's a link to one site that shows how to gauge serving sizes, but not calories: http://www.shape.
7668571 tn?1404573152 Found out today that my little girl is 5 pounds 8 ounces at 34 weeks! How far along are you ladies? & do you know the estimated weight yet??
Avatar f tn I think the weights are off, too. This app says that at 20 weeks, babies should be around 10 ounces. My doctor told me that at 20 weeks, babies average between 10 and 14 ounces. My baby was estimated at nearly 13.5 ounces at 20 weeks. Couldn't find out approximate length because she wouldn't show us her spine, but unless my baby is measuring big, this app is way off. Can't wait till my follow up ultrasound on April 20th to find out the approximate weight and height of my baby.
1486289 tn?1315842255 Babies grow at different rates. Nothing says they HAVE to be a certain weight at a certain point. Everything's fine. Also remember. Ultrasound weights are nothing more than an estimate and can easily be off and wrong.
298462 tn?1259457975 when i was 20 weeks i had a full anatomy scan and the dr said baby is in the 50th percentile when it comes to weight--- does this mean shes small? she weighed in at 320 grams or converted to 11.03 ounces. any insight would be helpful!
Avatar f tn m 29 weeks and had an ultrasound today saying my baby was weighing 2 pounds 13 ounces I read that the avg weight at 29 weeks is 2.5 pounds but the doctor told me most babies at this age are bigger.... how big is was your baby at this time?
Avatar f tn I'm 20 weeks pregnant and I went to the dr on Friday. His measurements were good and his weight was good. But they said he is 14 ounces... Is that normal ?
537466 tn?1284853136 all i am very sorry on the weight they it to me in grams he is 4 pounds and 8 oz and they took the feeding tube out today he is doing well
Avatar f tn WE go by certain guidelines to achieve measurements as accurately as possible. I follow those guidelines to the best of my ability. It can be difficult to do due to fetal position and/or maternal obesity. Most babies are 18-22 inches at birth.
Avatar f tn At 20 weeks last Friday, my baby boy was 12 ounces. I asked the tech if that's a good weight and she said yes. She's seen between 8 ounces and a pound at 20 weeks so it sounds like it's pretty average in that range. You were also a week ahead of me so maybe mine will be a pound at 21 weeks.
Avatar n tn So i am 15 weeks+4 and went to doc yesterday they told me baby weighs around 4 ounces all the research i have done say baby should weigh around 2.
1936723 tn?1323580852 s called fatty liver disease, which makes it that much harder for your liver to function. Just try to eat healthy, eat the 20 grams of fat before your Incivek, drink lots of water, and hang in there. Best wishes, and keep us posted on your progress.

Avatar f tn This Pass Thursday I went in to have my babies measurements done & her weighed. On Thursday I was 32 weeks 4 days, but measuring to be 33 weeks 2 days & my baby girl weighed 4lbs 9oz already.do yall think that's really big for me only being almost 33 weeks? ?
Avatar f tn Keep in mind that "supposed to" is based on averages, ultra sound weight measurements are estimates, and not all babies grow at exactly the same rate at the same time! Unless your dr expresses concern, chalk it up to the unique little being you've got growing!
Avatar f tn Hello, I just joined WeightWatchers (New Year's resolution, anyone?) and I like the idea of weighing the food I eat. All of their scales are just so expensive though. Anyone know of/have good recommendations for a good kitchen scale to use for cooking? Thanks, all!
1476285 tn?1287337784 I plan to use whole, organic milk for another 6 grams then add a bit of oil to bring it up to 20. I figure w/ a banana or some strawberry preserves it s/b ok.
Avatar f tn Mine was 4 pounds 2 ounces. Big girl. I'm getting estimated birth weight next week. I'll be 38 weeks.
Avatar f tn s right on target as the average for 22 weeks is 1 pound (16 ounces) this app really goes by a very low weight measurement and not the average. I like this app but refer to another when checking my lil one's weight.
Avatar f tn At 36 weeks I was told my baby girl was 5.5 lbs.. They are suppose to gain less weight as you get closer to the date. I would imagine mine will gain at least 2lbs in the month.. So about half a pund a week..
Avatar f tn I have bipolar and have been taking creatine for lifting without any serious side effects for a long time now. It all has to do with how you take a supplement. If you take 5 grams a day along with 64 ounces of water than there is no reason to have any negative effects. But if you abuse the product and take 20 to 30 grams a day without drinking enough water than of course you're definitely gonna experience those serious side effects in which you are talking about. JMO.
Avatar f tn Just impatiently waiting for ultrasound on tuesday to confirm his final estimated weight. Does anybody have a time machine?
Avatar f tn Just really curious my baby girl had an estimated weight of 9 ounces. What was your baby's estimated weight?
Avatar f tn So I went to my sonogram yesterday and the lady helping me told me that my baby girl was 11 ounces, well I'm 19 weeks and 5 days and according to approx weight and measurements she's only suppose to be around 7 ounces. I've gained -6 lbs from 165 to 159 and I'm basically wondering if she's really big or does every baby weigh different for everyone.
Avatar f tn But I have also heard that ultrasounds are not very accurate when it comes to determining weight. Anyone else had a prediction weight given to them? Already mommies, if so, were they right or was your babys weight significantly different than what they had predicted? Thanks ladies!
