Avatar n tn He woke up one morning and I could barely see his teeth..Gums were swollen and bleeding.. I took him to the emergency room and they said it may be a reaction to a viral infection and prescribed amoxicillian for 10 days...It has been 6 days and still they are bleeding...What is wrong? He is too young for gum disease, right?
Avatar f tn It is now Sunday she is still screaming when we go near her tooth/gums and is bleeding at the touch of the cotton swab Her mother and I are worried and do not know what to do next. She has a follow up with the dentist on Wednesday this week. What should we do? Should the Amoxil be working if it is an infection? If so when will it help her?
Avatar f tn My upper right molars were pulled. Seemed to be doing okay. But, the gums seem really swollen and a little tap above where the were pulled on my uper cheek close to my nose really hurts. Is this normal?
Avatar f tn But i think it is worth mentioning that 3 weeks ago, he has been complaining about his gums hurt because food got stuck inbetween his molars. it got better after brushing/flossing. yesterday, I took him to the doctor and we were prescribed antibiotics to reduce the swelling but no explanation was offered whatsoever. I would really appreciate it if someone can give me an explanation or advise on what to do next.
Avatar f tn I have a cut between my tongue and my gums near my wisdom teeth and my molars, I've put Orajel on it and it helps for a half an hour, I can't eat without putting it on, I have had it for almost a week now and nothing has happened to it other than pain. I need help, with what I could do.
Avatar n tn I have this lump in my lower left gums, right where my Molars start. It is a hard lump that moves slightly but then goes right back to its original spot. It's not white or anything, and there is no pain. This might also be helpful: My lower gums on that side seem to be a really hard swollen towards the teeth region. The lump has been there for about 2 weeks and it didn't "grow" there. it just kind of appeared. Another quick detail, the lump is about the size of a BB.
Avatar n tn I just had oral sex with a guy and he was sticking it down my throat forcefully, now 2 hours later, my molars are red and swollen like it's bruised. What could this be a sign of?
Avatar f tn the swollen gums are not exactly near the tooth. it is near the bones on the upper side.can anyone help me to know what is the problem and do i need to visit the dentist urgently?
Avatar n tn Today i was sitting outside and tasted blood in my mouth and saw that my gums were bleeding near my molars. This has happened once before. Should I go tot he docotor or wait for it to happen again? I have a history of cancer and leukemia in my family, every web site I looked at said that it is a sign of leukemia. Should I be worried?
Avatar f tn About a week ago, I noticed an excruciating pain between two of my molars on the top left row of my teeth. The pain began to radiate toward my front teeth, and it seemed my gums were inflamed too. The pain couldn't be quelled unless I took acetaminophen and naproxen in conjunction, and orajel burned my gums. A few days following the first pain, it began to migrate toward my jaw, and since then I haven't been able to feel any pain in the original place it occurred.
Avatar n tn Since the numbing meds wore off I have been in excruiating pain and 2 days later woke up to a completely swollen mouth and face. Every tooth in my mouth hurts, I cant chew or even drink, my gums are all severely swollen as well as my face and neck and also swollen glands. I saw my family doctor, he prescribed an antiviral and also tetracycline (penicillin allergy), and I am taking vicodin every 4 hrs and still hurt. Monday will be a week since I started the medicine and I am no better.
Avatar m tn Well, if its on the cheek side near the upper 2nd molars, its probably your parotid duct, which is the duct that saliva comes out of from your cheek when you eat. I don't know if you can do this yourself but try to wipe it dry and depress on your cheek area, sometimes you can see some saliva get squeezed out from that "pimple." That's how I would determine if its that parotid duct if you were my patient. Again, not sure if you can do it yourself.
Avatar f tn And i know that because the roots are still there, they will need to get those out, but what is going to happen now that my gums have grown over?! My gums around the area are quite swollen too, which i know is from infection. Is there a way to still remove the roots/decayed remains even after the gums have grown over?! Do they have to surgically cut through/remove the gums? Do gums always do this when a tooth is removed (whether correctly or not)? This is terrifying me!
Avatar f tn I have some yellowish whiteish build up that won't come off of my teeth. It is on my upper back molars up by the gums. It won't come off when I brush, floss, or try to scrape it off. What can I do about this? I noticed it about a month ago. My back molars feel rough on the front surface. I use Spry tooth paste, as I was told to by a neurologist for an immune disorder. What is wrong with my teeth? What can I do about this?
Avatar f tn 3 days ago, maybe 4, the gums behind my molars felt numb. I wouldn't say it hurts but it felt, and still feels, weird. I also noticed that it seemed as if a new tooth grew..? It's aligned really weirdly though, it's shifted to the side. It's really irritating because when I open my mouth, it hurts. As well as when I swallow. Also around that new tooth, part of the gums looks weird, kind of like white (it's around the tooth).
689528 tn?1364135841 Poor sweetie, that's gotta be so uncomfortable. I hate teething, especially with the molars coming in. I wish there was something else to do to help other than giving ibuprofen or tylenol. I don't know of anything they can chew on that'll reach back there.
Avatar n tn I was recently referred to a dental surgery clinic to have 4 of my molars "surgically removed" I was told by my dentist that I would be sedated & my molars would be removed surgically- However upon my appointment with the Dental surgeon it was suggested that I not be sedated but given the usual local anesthetic and have my molars pulled... During the procedure the surgeon broke the top off of 3 of the molars- then explained that he was removing the roots..
Avatar m tn ve already had braces and everything so that has nothing to do with this i had some teeth pulled for that but everytime i try to brush those teeth they hurt and bleed very bad and the gums surrounding these teeth are swollen and red ....
Avatar n tn I have an older root canal/crown on the back molar on the bottom right side of my mouth. The molar in front of this tooth is missing, and on the left side the back bottom two molars are missing. During the last month, my chewing habits have changed, as I am await getting either a partial on the left or implant on the right. The tooth that is the root canal and the gum around that tooth is very swollen and so painful that most of the right side of my mouth is painful.
Avatar f tn is it just your teeth or gums as well? i was having alot of swelling n bleeding in gums i went to dentist and they did a deep cleaning on me feels alot better now there healing now.. dentist told me its also hormones an something about blood flow when your prego your more prone to gum disease an cavities so its good to get your cleanings.
Avatar n tn I am 35, and had all four wisdom teeth taken out 4 weeks ago. The bottom two were impacted and apparently pretty difficult to get out. I don't necessarily have any pain anymore, but my molars and my gums on the bottom, on both sides are very sensitive beginning about a week ago. It is very sensitive to eating and touching, but it doesn't really hurt. I do think there was some nerve damage, because my chin is still pretty numb. Is this sensitivity normal?
1030433 tn?1252284429 I am having all 4 wisdom teeth pulled (2 came in sideways) and 5 molars ( 2 bottom left, 2 bottom right and 1 upper left) my molars (or whats left of them) are cracked down into my gums... Should I expect to have all 9 extractions done in one day? Am I (I hope) looking at general anesthesia? Am I looking at a lot of pain and swelling and bruising? Should I plan to be rather blah all day?
1470528 tn?1324694321 From my experience, it is not serious. We all grow molars. The pain is probably coming from your gums. Take some pain medication. As for your second molar, it takes a while, but it will break through the gum and your pain will be gone. You will then have another pearly white. Hope you feel Better!
