Hi ladies...i am 24weeks1day...and i have been experiencing super swollen gums and bleeding! It is ridiculously annoying and I dnt know what to do. My insurance isnt effective until Sep.1st so i cant go to the dentist yet. I've been brushing and flossing and mouthwash 2 times a day everyday and it still doesnt help. I was wondering of anybody else is experiencing this and if there are any other remedies to use until I can go to the dentist?

the weirdest part was that i had strep many times over the years and it never caused the swelling in my gums and the bleeding. after the second or third dose or antibiotics, my gums were practically back to normal and of course my sore throat and the pus covering my tonsils started to clear. i am going back to the doc today because as luck would have it, the same exact symptoms are showing a year later. hope this helps.

2 days back i got pain in my swollen gums and i got puss and bleeding from that portion. after that the gums are lightly swollen and there is no pain now. i did'nt visited the dentist. can i get infection in my gums? what to do as a first aid and when should i visit the dentist? i also got root canal treatment for the tooth above which i got this gum problem.is there any problem because of the tooth ? the swollen gums are not exactly near the tooth. it is near the bones on the upper side.
Awhhh. I've always had bleeding gums. And even my dentist in the military didn't know what was up. Honestly, I brush my teeth hard, spit out the blood.. Rinse.. Then mouth wash. It stings a little, but the bleeding stops.

Yes, unfortunately. It's hormones. I've had swollen bleeding gums every time I was prego. The trick so they don't get really bad is you HAVE to floss, 3/4 times day & brush your teeth 3/4 times a day also. Otherwise the swelling & bleeding will get really bad.
