Hey guys er first of all around 4 - 5 days ago my lower left gum (towards the back - where the 1st molar and the one before it is) my 2nd molar hasn't fully grown yet (and i'm 18... lol) Anyway, it first happened on the left side where it sort of swelled and was very tender so I couldn't chew on that side and it bled a little.

taste in my mouth now but no pain really at extraction site. My gums are swollen but receding slightly today (kinda white and wrinkled). Is this normal?

My gums got very swollen during treatment and it was hard to clean very well. I used an interdental for between the teeth and a rubber pick to try and clean and stimulate the gums. Things returned to normal for me after tx.

I had my stitches out 9 days later. That was about a week ago, and now I noticed that the gums on my upper left side near the molar are a purple-ish color? It is also still sore when I swallow, but only on that upper left side. Can they be bruised? Is there an infection? I'm hoping whatever it is I can clear it up at home but any input or advice is greatly appreciated seeing as my dentist is closed on monday and tuesday so I can't be seen for 3 days anyway. About a week ago I started taking Erythromycin and have been taking it as told. Now today my gums and cheek is swollen. The Dentist switched my antibiotic to Clindamycin and I just started taking that because he doesn't think the other one was working....no kidding. My question is do you think this antibiotic will kill the infection and when will the swelling go down. The appointment to have my tooth removed isn't until the 10th of april.

t hurt but there are a few red bumps and swollen red veins at the back of my throat. today my gums started hurting a little bit at the molar area and looks like it could be pericoronitis since i can see bump on my gum over the right molar. Basically, my molar was coming and part of it was covered with my gums and the other part was trying to come out of my gums. It hurt because the tooth is growing through your gums. It hurt when I ate anything on that tooth, especially fried chicken. From my experience, it is not serious. We all grow molars. The pain is probably coming from your gums. Take some pain medication. As for your second molar, it takes a while, but it will break through the gum and your pain will be gone.

One was a wisdom tooth, the second was a molar right in front of that tooth and the third was another molar on the opposite side. It took about an hour and a half and they were extremely difficult extractions. The bleeding didn't last very long and that day and the following day I felt pretty good. s not the tooth in front of it because that has a root canal as well. My gums are really swollen around the tooth and I have been doing warm salt water rinses and very very light brushing and flossing to keep food particles away. If I get a Q-tip and rub the gum I don't feel any pain when I do this either. I don't have pus, drainage or bad breath either. So anyone got any suggestions? Last year,I went to the dentist to remove a molar. I had red gums and they told me that I have gingivitis. They gave me a full teeth wash and remove my molar and they gave me a prescription for it. They gave me a pill that i have to take twice each day (i think 12hr each one) for a week. After taking the pills, I still had red gums. I had a molar extracted over 2 weeks ago, stitches were placed. The stitches dissolved on day 5. I have a large hole where molar was and the side of my gum is open. Minimal healing has occurred. Using Chlorhexidine on Q tips directly to area. Area is painful to touch in some areas. Is this normal? How long does it take for soft tissue to fill in? When should I get concerned? What can be done if healing does not occur?
