Avatar f tn I've had the same problem my whole first trimester. I'm almost in my second as well so I hope to start working out again soon. In the meantime I go to the pool when I can and do some swimming and stuff.
Avatar f tn Start slowly and engage in aerobic and toning exercises. Walking, jogging, swimming, biking and abdominal exercises are good. An increase in your activity level and eating 100 fewer calories will help you lose weight and is a safe if you’re breast-feeding. A healthy breakfast, which will give you needed energy and prevent fatigue. Eat five to six small meals a day and never skip a meal. Drink eight to nine glasses of fluid a day I suggest water.
Avatar f tn They have a big variety of videos with pregnant instructors showing you how to do the workouts and you just follow along with them just like any other workout videos. Best of luck to you!
Avatar m tn Many gyms offer rowing machines, upper body ergometers, swimming pools, and boxing rooms. These can all be used by those with limited leg function. A rowing machine provides aerobic workouts to the biceps, triceps, pectoralis muscles, and the upper back muscles. An upper body ergometer (arm bike) looks like an upside-down bike that is pedaled with your hands. In the pool, shallow water arm movements with leg stabilization can be done to stress the arms, chest and upper back.
Avatar f tn and also i look very carefully what i eat, less in the evenings, only snack what i afford are some nuts and raisins.so,the next step i will start going to the swimming pool with my babies and it will be good fitness for all of us.i have bought my swimming suite today, hope that on tuesday wi will start.so,good luck to you, just remember that you have to find time for yourself because your family want to have healthy and beautiful mum!!!!
Avatar f tn I had to stop my workouts due to back injury. My doctor said NO MORE weights, jumps squats or running. I've listened but have put on 20lbs, I walk but it doesn't promote weight loss. I watch what I eat for the most part and do enjoy a glass if wine with dinner. What Other options are there for me at age 51. I've heard of PYO?? I don't want to irritate my back anymore.... Help!
Avatar m tn Hi, I'm 23 yo male I am currently eating healthy and at a calorie deficit and I walk on treadmill for about 40 min a day for 5 times a week. Could someone suggest me some workouts I can do at home which involves all the bodyparts? cheers!
Avatar f tn From what I have read, Swimming and walking are safe options and can at least keep you on track to being healthy and delivery ready. A stationary bike is good too. I can't do either of these unfortunately and that frustrates me. I used to workout at home pre-pregnancy using body weight and videos. I was the fittest I have been in years, more than when I went to the gym. I also used to walk from work 1 hr 30 mins, but now that it's winter, it's not an option. Too cold, windy and often slippery.
Avatar f tn If I were you, I would skip the cardio machines and go outside for exercise. You can get a lot more out of running in fresh air than you can with running inside a clammy room and being bored. You should also schedule your exercise around 2 hours after you eat - so that you can burn the calories from your meal. I try to go jogging at least three times a day, it's a great way to get leg muscle. Also make a routine up for yourself.
1400351 tn?1280741619 (I did two mini-triathlons last season, but had to walk most of the swimming part....). As for the dress size, my biggest problem areas are my thighs and my upper arms, so any tips on how to best tone up these areas would be much appreciated. Also, I'm sure lots of you have Wii Fit (and Fit Plus). How is this working for you in terms of exercise? Is it worth the money??? Keep in touch!
7064586 tn?1387644801 Besides walking and sometimes swimming, I started to dance mix of dances in order to get back in shape. Before my illness I was dancing professional modern and jazz , but after treatments and surgery* I had problems with ovaries*, I had to stop for around a year. I gained weight and hormones I had to drink certainly did not help. I am not allowed to do weight training yet , only some forms of Pilates and dance. Do you think dance can help me again and is it enough?
Avatar f tn allot is working the stomach hard the muscles on both sides separate during birth crunches all the ones that work it hard bring it together and shape up here are a bunch of sites to check you tube probably has ones to watch good luck http://www.bing.com/search?
Avatar f tn I'm looking at taking up swimming aswell to combat my sugar levels, but I'm looking for something simple that I can do at home for 20 minutes or so just to improve my tone around my abs ( don't have any) my shoulders , arms , neck and chest so basically anything from my waist up lol. Is there anyone out there that could kindly give me some advice?
Avatar f tn A good warm up prepares the muscles for the workout and maximizes the results from the actual workout. Do aerobic exercise by running, cycling, swimming or rowing. I like high-intensity interval training to increase your heart rate and burn fat while building lean muscle. Use compound functional exercises for your strength-training workouts. These compound exercises maximize muscle activation for quick performance gains.
1413587 tn?1289663423 I have been working out with videos for over 2 decades. Typically they are the FIRM videos with weights. Until about mid-June I was usually doing a 20-50 min. workout 4 times a week with no problems. Now, almost every time I exercise I feel weaker than I used to and afterward I am so spent. Later in the evening I have a lot of leg twitching and then find it hard to sleep because my legs feel so tight and achy. Could this be MS related and if so is it normal?
Avatar n tn My boys are swimmers and I swim and that is great exercise and I've found my kids have been able to transition into endurance sports due to their swimming. My son tells me running cross country is easier than swimming laps for an hour. :>) I'd work on your push ups too. All those things you'll need in training. best of luck to you. I wouldn't try to do a whole redo before you get there because it's hard as it is . . . just try to prepare for the rigors of that training.

Avatar f tn For even more benefits, try cardiovascular exercises that work your hips and lower body such as cycling, running, jumping on a trampoline or swimming laps. You don't have to buy any special equipment to build muscle in your hips and thighs. Instead, try doing body-weight exercises. Lunges work your knees, legs and hips, and you can do them in extended sets to get a moderate cardiovascular workout. Squats will work your lower body in addition to your abs and back, helping you build strength.
Avatar f tn I've been eating all healthy foods with good meals too. I've been jogging 2/3 times a week, swimming once a week and sit ups 4/5 times a week with bits of walking in there. From Monday to Monday I've lost 1lb. Feeling a bit disheartened. Im 5ft 8 and weigh 11.9 after my 1lb loss. Am i doing something wrong, I am concerntrating on toning my tummy but still....?
Avatar f tn Range of motion exercises are usually initiated as soon as the swelling and pain allow within the first few days after an injury. you can resume other forms of aerobic exercise. Swimming is one form of aerobic exercise that does not require weight bearing. Rowing is another aerobic exercise that may be possible. You may also be able to use a stationary cycle. If you feel pain in the knee when you exercise, stop and consult your doctor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?
Avatar m tn Choose exercises that you enjoy, so you'll keep doing them day after day. Running, skating, swimming, aerobics, cycling or jumping rope are all viable forms of exercise that burn a lot of calories but anything that gets your body moving is going to help. The most effective abdominal exercises include the bicycle crunch, reverse crunches and crunches on an exercise ball. Do abdominal exercises at least two days a week, performing one to two sets of 10 to 20 repetitions of each exercise.

Avatar f tn I've lost weight but I'm at the point where I want to burn the love handles and start to get abs and get my muscles more toned. However to achieve this I've made multiple different workouts I've made but find it impossible to stick to. And I think that's because I made it too complex. If I just keep if simple e.g. Do a run early on in the day and do a short circuit at night (press ups, sit ups, pull ups) will this get me more ripped and fit?
1936411 tn?1333835449 I did get in trouble when they hit the ball more than three steps away but still it was great fun. I tried swimming in our local heated pool but that was too warm and I felt exhaused afterwards. The L'Hermittes is a weird condition. I found temporary relief by doing the following exercise before attempting sit ups. Hope it works for you too: http://www.medhelp.
703362 tn?1427769928 Oh yeah....there are all sorts of sites online where you can see free workouts. I love those! That way when I can't get to the gym I can do one of those. I especially like the boot camp workouts, seems like they do the most in the shortest amount of time.
Avatar n tn swimming would be really good if you have facilities available. I don't know that much about it, but maybe with proper shoe support, you could still do some type of aerobics or something. Maybe a stationary bike? Also, the weight training helps a lot more than you might think. Muscle burns fat! If you go to a gym, they can show you how to use the machines to get the most good out of them. Good luck!
Avatar n tn When I was 18, my weight was 55 kg and I am aiming for that although I know realistically it cannot happen overnight. I started exercising (exercise videos, cross trainer, swimming) for at least 3 times a week for about 40 - 60 minute since November last year. I have also joined a gym and do kickboxing classes as well as yoga. After 6 months, although my clothes fit better, I have lost only 0.5 kg.
Avatar n tn The pain lasts for a long time when it happens, i think it first came about when i had a wrestling tournament that lasted all day. Now when ever i do an activity such as swimming or jumping on a trampoline, it comes back and feels like someone is putting a huge sharp needle in and out of my arms....stretching it out doesn't seem to help, but make it hurt more.
